UNDER MAJOUR CONSTRUCTION

You approach a deserted wooden shack in the middle of a Autumn forest. You had heard something from it and had desided to investigate. As you look through a crack in the old wood to see a dog tallking to himlesf; WAIT! A dog talking to himself? impossible!

You jump out of your skin to hear him say something relevent to you. "Who's there? Come out now!" He snarled fiercly. You immediatly back away and clumsily stepped upon a lost twig, as you scold yourself upon your actions silently the dog had emerged from his shack still snarling. "Get away from here! Just leave now!" He continued.

Before your knew it he had ran back into his home but you saw a book and ran and grabbed it before he pushed the door shut and he hadn't seemed to notice. You ran your finger down the spine and open the book the first page and start to read before you can stop yourself...

Scamp's Story

Chapter One: Home
It all started when I was born. My mother had died from birthing me and my brother who wasn't alive when he was delivered either. My father brough me up in a home with humans. Two tall ones, a female and a male with a smaller one which was called Rosie. I liked Rose but the taller ones,'Mama' and 'Papa' as Rosie called them, were always yelling at me for no good reason. Everyone has to pee every once in a while or have a good chew!

It was brought up on special milk from selected shops until I could eat dog food. Honestly, what I had for the first few weeks tasted like economy brand, ugh! I would of usually just sit upon the spare seat at the dinner table where Rosie would feed me lovely meat. I espially loved the chicken, yum yum. But then again Papa would usally curse at me and hit me with the plastic bottles which would make Rosie cry. In my opnion she cried too much; a cry baby if I wanted to put it in a mean phrase.

I remember when we went for walks with my father and the rest of the humans. Rosie holing me on the lead and papa holding father's. How I loved my father. He had a blue collar with a gold tag on with his name 'Rocko' on one side and the address to the house on the other. Mine was the same apart with my name and my collar was red. I was proud of my collar back in those days but if I wore it now it'd just show I came from a human home. I won't trust another human again apart from Rosie, also Ghost :3.

Chapter Two: "What's happening to me?
It wasn't long before I had completely messed up big time. I was getting a bath after I had rolled in the muddy patch of the garden and not liked my bath too much so I escaped from it. My father had ran after me trying to make me stop but back at the time I though it was a game and I had tried to run up the curtains, turning them into muddy shreds and I had knocked the bookcase over doing so and there was Mama's porclein collection in it which smashed as soon as it hit the carpet. I was in big trouble and guess what they did to me? In floods of Rosie's tears they put me in a dog adoption centre!

Although it wasn't long until I was adopted again by this freaky looking bloke with a grey beard and a bald nogan called Mr Kipling. His home had a room for a lab where I was bundled in a cage. You days being shoved food and water in from time to time but I was diprived, lonley and starving. After about 3 weeks of my adoption he gave me a meal of KFC boneless bites which I devoured happily but then he took he out of the cage and popped me on a red 'X'. It wasn't looking good and after a few seconds I was blinded by a bright light and after it I could suddenly talk and I was larger. "I can't see anything! what's happening to me?" I had mumbled and they were my first real words. The man looked very pleased as he had put me in a bigger cage.

The man had studied me for months, zapping me every week on a Saturday night. The thing was every time he zapped me I got smarter and smarter so I soon new how to escape and I did. While he was sleeping on a Tuesday night at exactly midnight. I had become strong enough to bite through the bars smart enough to open the drawer pick up the key on my jaw open the door and then turn the knob with my paws. I was free because he had owned a fat cat so I could got through the large cat flap. I still looked pretty much a dog but I certainly was transformed.

Chapter Three: Finging my new home
With the new powers I had obtained and the rich meals I had been given I could last a few days without food. I did and I was running miles everyday. A life of freedom wasn't easy to begin with. First in the town there were dog catched and they tried to catch me but I was too fast for them, duhh. Once I had left the town there was rolling country side with a few roads and I was almsot ran over many times crossing the roads. There had beena redone with Papa, Mama, Rosie and Fatherin it but they had a new adopted puppy which looked almost exacly like mean Rosie still crying.

It had taken me days to realize the family I had given up. I had upset Rosie so and my father was deeply ashamed of me. But who cares about them, I lead my own life now and they wont hold me back, not back then not now. I remember I found a female but I'm not going to elaborate on her. She was a horrible creature and taught me love was not worth it and it never shall be. I'm 'different' so how could anybody like some who's 'different'.

I found my current home around 6-7 days after escaping and it was certianly worth it. The leaves a brilliant green in the spring and summer and shades of brillant gold and red during my favourite season, Autumn. Also through winter there is always a sparkling thin blanket of snow. It was in the forest I found the wooden shack and made it my home where I could be peaceful with not many visitors to deal with.

Chapter Four: Adapting
Yeah, so I adored it here and still do. This place had everything for me. Cool river, a well-built home, trees for shade in summer, Pray for meals. It was perfect and so concludes my story as we are now pretty much up to date :3
