Has *Fairly Enchanted* piqued your curiosity?
Please read on to learn more about our unique guild!

In one sentence: *Fairly Enchanted* is a private, literate, fantasy / mythology guild providing outlets for roleplayers, artists, writers, and enthusiasts.

Cerulean_Dreamer opened *Fairly Enchanted* in 2004 after feeling frustrated by all of the guilds that she had been in. She had been unable to find a guild which fostered a sense of family and trust, stuck to its literate promises, and encouraged its members to get involved as much as they felt necessary.
*FE* has been built on these ideals. We pride ourselves on our literacy and maturity (which doesn't mean that we aren't still wild and crazy!). We understand that real life comes first, and we're here for you when you need to talk about issues in your life: good or bad.
We're always open to suggestions and constructive criticism. Cerulean feels that the guild belongs as much to the members as it does to her. After all, what is a guild, but for its members?
It is with these principles that *Fairly Enchanted* has been able to prosper and grow over the years, becoming the well-established and respected guild that it is today. We hope that this page will answer any questions that linger in your mind about our beloved guild. If you are left wanting, feel free to voice your curiosities to whomever referred you to this page, or simply neomail Cerulean_Dreamer, herself!

One thing that has evolved over the years is our webbie. It has become a huge online community where members can post bios, create art galleries, roleplay, chat, play and host games, learn about coding and graphics, and much more. It has come to the point where many members spend more time on the webbie than they do on the guild messageboard! You can take a sneak-peek, if you want. Just follow our guest login instructions.

*FE* for Roleplayers
*Fairly Enchanted* offers wonderful possibilities for roleplayers!
We have our own forum on our webbie where we have plots going of all genres. Most tend to be fantasy, as that is a common taste of our members, though people have started sci-fi, horror, and many other types of RP as well.
If you like to roleplay with one or many members, there are also choices for you.

A unique feature of our forum is that it allows you to create bios and posting styles for each of your characters and then post as them in the RP. This has proven very fun and useful as it helps participants keep characters straight (especially if a member is playing more than one character!) and allows you to refer back to each character's bio for information about them.

To see samples of our roleplaying abilities, you can preview our forum by following the guest login instructions.

We will soon have our own webmail system which is being custom-built to facilitate one-on-one roleplaying. More will be posted about this feature when it becomes available.

*FE* for Artists
Artist, Photographer, or Graphics Guru?
We have things for you all to do! Each member gets an art gallery where they can post any of their works (or just pictures of themselves or things they like) for everyone to see and comment on.
We also have an extensive graphics section where you can post graphics and layouts that you've made for others to use. You even earn guild points for submitting things!
Additionally, we have a wonderful tutorials section where members are encouraged to get their questions answered or pass along their expertise.

*FE* for Writers
In addition to the roleplaying opportunities for writers, we also have several members who are currently posting their novels (in progress) and poetry in our forum. Eventually, we will be adding a Notebook (blog) feature where each member will be able to decorate and add posts to their own blog page. More will be posted about this feature when it is available.

We offer several writing games, as well. One has members build on an ongoing story, one requests a story written about a given picture, another has members helping us to write articles for our Fantasy Encylopedia, the Magus Libellus, and a fourth showcases our budding poets. These, among others, can be found in the games section of our webbie. We also have a guild newspaper that members are encouraged to submit articles or comics to.

*FE* for Enthusiasts
Just because you don't roleplay, write, or have any artistic ability, doesn't mean that you won't fit in with us!
We love to just talk about all sorts of things, related to fantasy and not. Most of our members are avid readers and/or music or movie lovers, so chances are you'll find someone with similar tastes as you.

Among things available to all members are tutorials, an adoption agency, an avvie lending program, a guild graphics section, the ability to play and host games, and a forum where you can talk about anything under the sun.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Literate is *FE*?
As a guild claiming to be literate, we require our members to capitalize, punctuate, and allow only "LoL" and smilies as far as chatspeak. We have decided that LoL is acceptable on the grounds that there are few replacements for it, and everyone knows what it means.

We also ask that members pay close attention to their spelling as much as possible, and keep posts to 3+ words and 3 or less posts in a row.

Can I be on Council?
Not right away, unfortunately. We have lots of members who have been in the guild for quite some time who would be gravely upset to see a newbie off the streets of Neopia be promoted before they proved their worth. An exception, however, is our fifth council position which belongs to our Member of the Month (MOTM). This provides a chance for a wide variety of members to experience being on council.

Just because you're not a member of council doesn't mean you can't have responsibilities, though! We encourage our members to come up with new ideas and take on responsibilities as much as they would like. Often, non-council members end up with more responsibilities than those on council. It's really just a title. Members can create games, host parties, or become webbie moderators. Creative members just may devise a new position for themselves. The possibilities are endless, and Cerulean is more than willing to brainstorm with you.

How Big / Active is the Guild?
We typically have between 30 and 50 members, but don't let that deter you. You won't feel like a nameless face or be overlooked constantly. We're a tight-knit community with a messageboard that isn't as psychotically active as those belonging to other 'large' guilds. This means that you won't have to wade through 12 pages of new posts every time you visit, but you should at least be able to find someone on the guild messageboard or webbie forum to talk to.

Members are deleted after 4 months of inactivity and at least 2 neomail reminders. We've been snubbed for waiting this long, but we feel that it is important to understand that real life comes first. So long as members can check in with us every week or two, we're happy. Of course, we'd prefer to see you more often!

What do your Layouts Look Like?
Members are encouraged to post guild layouts that they've created in our graphics section on the webbie. The current MOTM is in charge of selecting the layout from those to be used in the guild each month. Some examples of past layouts are below:

How Do I Join?
Still interested, eh? That's wonderful!

If possible, please request an invite from the person who referred you to this page. Guild points are rewarded for recruiting deserving new members.
Otherwise, you may request an invite from Cerulean_Dreamer.

We do have several members on our webbie who are no longer (or never were) members of the guild. Though we prefer to have you as a member of both, if this interests you, you can also keep it as an option.

What Should I Do After I Join?
We ask a few things of new members:

1. Enable guild mailings,
2. Sign up for our webbie,
3. Review the rules and literacy policy, and
4. Introduce yourself on the guild messageboard.
