A Brief History
The Paintorium started out in January of 2007 as 'The Paint Brush Library', providing Neopets users with all the lingo they needed to know about the humble paint brush.
Month later, with some fancy new ideas, The Paint Brush Library was updated with a fancy new rainbow coloured theme. From then on I began the task of keeping Neopia's many citizens updated with the price of every paint brush. A well liked idea, but often time-consuming.
By late 2007, it had become obvious the page needed to be changed. In the time since, I had learnt a lot about CSS, Photoshop skillz, and web design. The time had come to change!
I began renovating the site, and settled upon a sleek black and white look. The renovating continued, until I could renovate no more. The idea was abandoned, and the old Paint Brush Library remained, laughing. Cackling. Evil.
From the beginning 2008, I abandoned petpage design in persuit of creating my own personal web space. By the end quater or 2008, ideas were sprouting for a new petpage. So one sunny afternoon The Paintorium was born.
Please note, The Paintorium is only a listing of all Neopian paint brushes and not colours. Hence why you will not find Robot or Sponge here.

Estimated Price
Estimated price is calculated every quarter (four months) by checking the current price of the item, ignoring extreme values, and single prices which are lower than the majority. For example if there are seven items for 500,000, one for 680,000 and one for 490,000, the price would be listed as 500,000.
In the case of buyable items, the price is rounded to the nearest 5000.
If there are none priced, only one, or several with huge variations, the price may be listed as Unavailable.
Prices listed in red have risen since last checked, while prices in green have dropped.
In addition, a percentage change is provided underneath, helping you decide when to buy to get the best deal, or to buy at all.
A Purchase link is provided underneath to either the Trading Post, or Shop Wizard if price is under 100,000. Hidden Tower links are instead provided where applicable.

The next day the Baby Paint Brush entered the Hidden Tower at a price of 300,000 neopoints, along with a warning that the price may change. On May 22 the price was lowered to 250,000 due to popular demand. Over a year later on July 24 2003, the price was adjusted to compensate for inflation to its current price tag of 600,000 neopoints.
