Notice To Leave
Hello guest and welcome. We have designed these rules to not only help you make as much profit as possible from being in a Mall, but make your Mall
experience a fun one with as much help and information we can give you.
◄ Technical Stuff ►
While we do not require that Mall members be a part of the PMC Guild, the guidelines we have provided in order to participate in our Malls must be followed
at all times. If a member is found to be in violation of one or more rules, the Mall Manager, the Guild President or the Head of Malls will send
a warning with the expectation that the problem(s) will be corrected. Continued violations can and will result in being dropped and/or even banned from
the PMC Village of Malls as it is not fair to other members who work hard to keep their shops up and follow the rules of the Mall.
►The PMC Guild reserves the right to modify these rules as needed.
►All members will be notified by their Mall Manager of any changes ASAP.
◄ Rules & Guidelines ►
1. Shop Sizes It is the goal of the PMC to help each member reach visibility in one of the marketplaces so
Mall Managers will encourage, stress and work with each member to upgrade their shops on a regular basis. Once the member has reached marketplace status,
Main Marketplace, Mystery Island
Marketplace, or Haunted Marketplace , it is expected that each shop will continue to
upgrade regularly to remain visible in the marketplace. Click here for a wonderful guide that will further
explain the marketplaces. Being at the top of your marketplace hut or tombstone can really increase business thereby increasing profit.
► All new Mall members that have shops below 200 will have the option of upgrading their shop to marketplace size.
► All Mall members with shop sizes of 200 or better, new or old are expected to upgrade their shop to Spooky Marketplace size (235) within 60 days of reading
these rules. If you are not willing to upgrade, or cannot reach that size within the specified time, your shop will be moved over to one of our smaller
Malls (provided there is space available) or to Castlebrooke Village in our Extended Mall. Some exceptions may be made but it will be at the discretion of
the Mall Manager and/or Head of Malls.
► All new Mall members that have shops of 500 or better, are expected to upgrade their shop to Main Marketplace size (570) within 60 days of reading
these rules. If you are not willing to upgrade, or cannot reach that size within the specified time, your mall will be moved over to one of our smaller
Malls (provided there is space available) or to Castlebrooke Village in our Extended Mall. Some exceptions may be made but it will be at the discretion of
the Mall manager and/or Head of Malls.
2. Shop Stock
Members must stock only what their shop is selling. Because of dailies, SHH events and random gifts, we will allow up to 10% of your stock for other
items. Direct competition with another shop in your Mall is against the rules and can result in removal from the Village of Malls. Please only sell what
your category calls for.
► Advertising of your off category items is not allowed to be displayed in your shop, user lookup or pet pages. Posting on Neoboard ads or Shop Ad Boards are ok
for these items.
► Members will also have a good selection of merchandise to choose from. Here are some guidelines:
i. Shop size 200-299: five pages
ii. Shop size 300-399: six pages
iii. Shop size 400-499: seven pages
iv. And an additional page for each hundred sizes after that.
v. Some categories, such as Job Coupons and paintbrushes, don't have a very big variety, so exceptions may be made for members stocking one or more of these
areas. Your Mall Manager will work with you on this.
3. Banners and Links
The Mall banner for your specific Mall must remain in your shop at all times.
► If any updates are made to the banner html, you will receive notification by or from the Mall Manager.
► Banners are expected to be kept up-to-date at all times, and must be updated within three (3) days of notification by the Mall Manager.
No links to other Malls or shops outside of the Village of Malls or PMC Guild are allowed in any shop.
Absolutely no changes may be made to PMC Mall Banner coding at any time. Any changes to the banner will be made by the Graphics Team. Anyone found
violating this rule will be removed from the Mall immediately.
► Links to petpages, users, and the PMC Guild are permitted.
4. Advertising
Mall advertising will be mandatory in all Malls except for the Extended Mall. Mountain Top Village will always remain Mall #1 with a shop size
of 500+ and will do 4 million np ads on a weekly basis. As the Village of Malls continues to grow, Mountain Top will always be our premier and main Mall.
All other Malls are able to set the price for their Neoboard Ads but it is suggested that 1-mil notice board ads be the goal.
Ads must be paid BEFORE the ad is posted. If your button is not paid for, your shop will be removed from the Banner for that week. Any member who misses
paying for their button 3 separate times will be removed from the Mall. Paying for your button is mandatory. Only with the permission of that Mall Manager
can exceptions be made.
Unpaid ads can and will be sold to other interested parties. Your Mall Manager will provide you with this information when the option is available.
5. Absence
If a member will not be available for an extended period of time, they must contact the Mall Manager as soon as possible to make special arrangements. Any member
who is absent without notice for more than seven (7) days with no contact to their Mall Manager will forefit their spot and the Mall Manager will take steps to
have it filled. If upon your return your spot is still available you may discuss with the Mall Manager and/or Head of Malls about getting your spot back.
Re-entry into the Village of Malls will be on a case by case basis and up to the discretion of the Mall Manager, Head of Malls and/or PMC Guild Council.
6. Mall Placement
Members may be asked to move into another Mall at the discretion of the Mall Manager and Head of Malls. Each Mall Manager is encouraged to help
their members grow their shops so they may move up into larger Malls. The PMC Guild frowns upon Managers of larger Malls scanning smaller Malls looking to
fill empty spots. With the exception of the Extended Mall, should you wish to invite a member from a smaller Mall to join your shop, you must contact the
Mall Manager AND the Head of Malls before doing so. Contacting the member directly is forbidden and will result in immediate removal and banning
from the Village of Malls. Should the member contact a Mall Manager asking to join their Mall, refer them to their Manager and/or Head of Malls so they
can work out the arrangements.
When looking to move a shop, we check for the following:
► Shop size
► Variety and organization of items.
► Percentage of items in category.
► Willingness to advertise (for example, Mountain Top Village members are required to participate in a 4 million-neopoint ad).
► Ability to make Mall banner updates timely.
7. Member Conflicts
If any issues come up you and another Mall member, do not contact them directly. Neomail your Mall Manager. If your Manager is not available, you can
then neomail the
Head of Malls or the
Assistant Head of Malls.
8. Rule Violations
If a Mall member is in violation of these rules they will be neomailed a request to make a correction. If the problem is not fixed within a
reasonable time, the member will be removed from the Mall. A Mall member that has been removed may reapply.
9. Notice to Leave
A one (1) week notice is required before leaving any Mall. It is a courtesy to give the Mall Manager time to advertise and perhaps quickly fill your spot. Anyone who leaves before that
time or without notice will not be able to return to the Village of Malls. Exceptions may apply but must be discussed with the Head of Malls.
