What can I tell you about myself? Well, I have been living here, in the Green Meadow, since I was born. I live here with my sister, her petpet Sarah and my petpet, Joy the fire Kazeriu. We don't really have a house, an actual wooden cottage to live in, but there is this big tree near the pond where we usually sleep. During the day, we are outside. This meadow is amazing and there always is something to do here!

I've been told the story of an Evil Willow by the neopets living here. It was a living tree, which would transform in anything you truly fear. For example they say that once a young Acara explorer went there to see the willow and prove that it actually doesn't exist, and he never returned. It has been suggested he was so afraid he couldn't find his way home, but most old neopets living nearby tell that he was still there, and he turned evil because the tree had magical powers. I believe those things. I don't care if most other kids say this is just a story to scare them. I really believe it's true.

I am just not so naive as them because once this curse on me, my big curiosity leaded me to enter the forest. I wanted to explore, as usual. It was a late afternoon winter day, but it was actually pretty warm and perfect for going out. Then, I was a small and tiny kougra, looking totally pathetic. I was actually "new" to the Green Meadow, and I didn't know too much people. That was really bad because I never knew about the Willow...But even if I knew about it, I doubt I was gonna believe it.

So I went into the forest, which was looking really friendly in the beginning. There were birds singing, butterflies, from far away a very nice sound of a river could be heard. Only if I knew what awaited me... I continued on, thinking that it's safe and amazing. But soon, I stumbled on a dark path. The air has gone wet and cold and there was thick fog. I was a bit afraid, but not that much to flee. The path was getting smaller and was almost invisible when I bumped in it. I wish I scampered in the beginning, because what I saw was probably scarier than my worst nightmares...

The Willow was about 3 meters tall. The branches were dropping, and instead of leafs, they were covered in poisonous thorns. Or at least I think they were poisonous. In the middle of it was a big gap, and if it wasn't a tree I'd call it a giant scar, bigger than me. It had a weird form but I didn't bother to think what does it look like, as I was too frightened to think. Beyond it were two shiny orbs which looked like pinned to it, glowing in green. Now I think this was the "face" of the Willow. I don't even know how is it possible, but I saw it clearly. I hope I never do again.

I turned back, frightened to death, with a white face, I could feel my feet shaking, but I decided to run. The gap in the tree moved in an evil smile, which was really scary, and the orbs started glowing red. Suddenly I fell over. I couldn't stand up and felt exhausted, though it was about 200 meters distance. It paralyzed me and I couldn't move now. I felt a branch, which luckily didn't have too much thorns, slowly wrapping my body. Yep, I expected to be dead in a minute, if I was extremely lucky for this another minute. But then something indescribable happened. A sword, a very sharp sword, swayed just a few inches far from my body, ripping the branch and releasing me. I only remember turning back and seeing a shadow which was shouting at me to leave. And I really did so, I scampered.

I don't know who was the one who prevented the Willow from killing me, but I think that this was the Owner. The Owner was a young gelert, who lived all by herself on a farm in the forest, when one day she bought some willow seeds from some traveler, who was selling "magical seeds", as he called them, an probably was the only one. The gelert was warned that the tree will become magical and evil, but she thought it was just a fairytale he just invented so that she pays more, and she left. She seeded the willow near her house and the next day it was bigger than it! The girl was speechless. She couldn't believe that she had an enchanted tree. Ever since, she loved the Willow. And she is the only one it obeys to. Or that's what everyone say.
