Onan Aree is my name, here's where it comes from. Aree is the name/new-language version of the word 'erea', which happens to mean 'death'. A pleasant thing to be named, but most people who are named it have no clue of its origins. Onan means the color blue.
Onan Aree is the name of a Traveler, a high ranking water kirl to be exact, which doesn't really explain why he's hanging around with the misfit Travelers. That's about the only things that were 'stolen' from Aree, the name and water. I say 'stolen' because this Aree is another character Melz has had around for years. And I mean years. So don't try stealing it and claiming it or nothing.
A lot of my characterization just comes from normal teens, see I'm completely normal. Except for the fact of the haunting, incurable, deadly disease that makes me act like a wacko (and I don't mean in a good way) once in a while. Besides that, I'm normal. Yeah, right. The truth is, even that is like most teens, but the sickness makes me intensified.
My origins on neopets are not simple. I was originally a Bruce, that's were we got the wheelchair/crutch/random-disease idea, than Melz decided I should be a kougra, and gave me a potion. Then she got the idea that I should be labbed. And now she's not even sure what she wants me to be once I get done labbing.
But according to mystory, I'm a created-born kougra. Meaning that, I have no parents and was created on neopets using the create-a-pet, contrary to most who did have 'parents'. Actually, we don't have exact proof that I am one, since I wasn't born here, but we're pretty sure. I was lost before I was adopted, disease-itized and then was left to Melz and Herb. Created-borns are rare among the developed pets, so I'm unique to be one.

Herb is my second owner. If you can call it that. Really he's Melz's imaginary friend. Well, not completely imaginary. There is a computer drummer named Herb. And he does wear a weird hat, and Melz did sing with him in a worship band. But he isn't a living breathing person.
