Fewf, that's better! So I'm glad to see you guest; perhaps I should have picked a better time to shower. To TNT, this page was made entirely out of my own desire and choice and I was in no way forced to make it. And one quick disclaimer: I've created all the content on this page (unless specifically stated), with the exception of Neopets official images.

Now that that's out of the way, shall we continue?

So you probably want me to tell you about why I love Odiello so much! Well, if you'll listen to my ramblings, I'd love to tell you all about my plans for Odi (if I may call him that!), why I love him, and a bit about myself.

The Story/Background

WHOOSH! That was weird...

My amazing love for MSPs and the Odi's character is why I'm drawn to talk to you today. Yes, you could say that Odi's awesome name, and rarity is a contributing factor to why I love him, but of course that's not the only reason! I would be insane not to appreciate his value, but Odi is so much more than just a trophy to me. Before I saw Odi UFA, I had been working on a character for an MSP I've had floating around for a while. Of course, I could TELL you about this character, but why don't I show you with a bit of a story!

Odi sat up. Where am I?, he thought. He looked around for some clue as to where, or who he was, and noticed a throbbing pain in his head.
When he stood up, he noticed he was a bit uneasy on his feet. What's going on?

Around him, was several plushie animals about the same size as him. He walked over and prodded them with his foot. A mynci's tail flopped down from a landing above him, and Odi jumped back in surprise. Odi also noticed a large tea set, and looking up he noticed the ceiling must be 400 feet above him. It looks like I'm in some sort of over sized world.

He heard a noise. Someone was coming!
Odi jumped into a nearby chest and managed to position himself so he could see the room.

He could hear large footsteps. It must be something big! Something with long fangs, and oversized paws! He's coming to reclaim his territory! It's a -- little girl?

Odi's eyes saw right, it was a little girl.

."Are you hiding too?" said a voice from inside the chest.
."What? Who is that??" replied Odi.
."I don't know who I am, but all I know is you're the only one who looks like me".

Odi looked down, and he saw that his skin was in fact fabric. He felt his head, and noticed his hair was actually yarn. He looked over at the voice, and noticed it was coming from a fragile looking aisha. He moved closer to her.

."Do you know what's going on?".
."No," she said, "I woke up inside this chest and when I looked out, I saw you also".
."You look like a gelert chew toy," Odi said.
."Yes, it would seem that I'm some sort of alien play toy, while you are --".

."Moooom? Do you know where my plushie poogle is?" It was the little girl.
."Ashe, honey, I don't know but we really have to go, you'll have to look for him later!" So I'm this little girl's love proxy?

Name: Odiello Nicknames: Odi, Lo Gender: Male Species: MSPP Age: ??? Birthday: November 14th Sign: Aquarius Height: 3'2 Weight: 30 lb Eyes: Red Hair: Blonde and coarse. Long and tied twice, once at the nape of the neck and again at the end. Markings: Restitchings in various places from travel. Leg is of an entirely different material due to an accident with a guard gelert. Accessories: Red scarf, golden rings holding his hair. Personality: He is solemn and contemplative. His quiet and docile disposition are sometimes interrupted by bouts of extreme violence and destruction.

I know the story is short, but I plan to extend it in the future when time allows (with Uni etc). In the mean time, let me give you a 3rd person overview of Odi's history!

Odi is a plushie poogle who once belonged to a young girl of 4 years. Like any young girl, she has tea parties with him and pushes him on the swing when it's his turn. Ashlyn's (Ashe for short) favorite friend for Odi is her gelert, Zip's, alien chew toy, named Fi. Ashe has played with the two everyday since she could sit up, and soon they become a dynamic indestructible duo.

One day, Ashe notices that the two are missing; no matter where she searches, she is unable to locate either. There is a lot of sobbing, but eventually Ashe moves on, and finds new play friends. However, Odi and Fi are far from moving on. They realize that they were once her toys, and that from a child's wish, they came alive. Of course, the two have no desire to become her toys again now that they have a chance to live, so they run away to find refuge in the attic of the house, where forgotten toys go.

In the attic, they find many sentient toys that were also wished into "being". As it were, sentient toys are much more fragile than "blank" toys. The toys in the attic were so overjoyed with the prospect of pleasing a child that they returned to Ashe's care, but they were unable to endure the use of a 4-year-old or a rambunctious gelert. After these toys broke, they still retained their mind; however, they were no longer a suitable item for a child. When toys were found broken, they were take to the attic.

Here, Odi realizes he must do something about these neglected toys. He realizes they are like him, and that without his help, they will sit alone for the rest of their lives. He and the timid Fi take it upon themselves to travel across neopia retrieving the tools and materials necessary to repair these toys, and restore them back to their former glory. It is before he leaves that Odi dons his heroic red scarf, as a gift from a weak abominable snowball.

Along their journey, they not only find the materials they need, but they also discover the same horrible things happening to toys everywhere. While Fi manages to retain her innocence Odi grows resentful of children everywhere; how could they love their toys so much, break them, and then forget about them as if they never existed! Odi becomes a force to be reckoned with and often slips into homes at night rescuing toys that have encountered the same fate as him. Eventually, Odi has an army of toys as powerful, loyal, and resentful as himself he decides they need to make a strike against humans. They slip in the night, and torment the children in the only way they know how: dreams. Children have horrible dreams and wake up paranoid and devoid of their previous innocence. Fi understands none of this, but she is at Odi's side none the less. Odi recognizes this, and commends her for her loyalty and bravery, but he does not understand it. He is often baffled by her innocence and her unique perspective, and while he does not prefer company of any kind, he finds himself enjoying the silences they share.

The Plan

So let me tell you about my plans for Odi:
Mainly, I would like to train Odi. I have a few moderately statted pets (thanks to the lab), but nothing REALLY powerful. I think that in keeping with Odi's character, adequate training would be in order. I've been hoarding codestones and dubloons for years, so this should be no problem!

Of course I would be keeping him as a him, and as an MSP. Anyone who would do otherwise is just crazy!

As for petpets I'm not quite sure. Part of me thinks a petpet wouldn't suit his character, but another part of me thinks the right one could really compliment him! I've got this idea in my head that a grey ghostkerchief named Croak would be the perfect compliment since it resembles a broken toy.

Petpetpet? I would love to give Odi a petpetpet, but then I think about all that stressful refreshing with Odi as my active... who would want to risk his glory for a petpetpet? So I am still debating as I DO think one would be awesome.

I'm not a big customization person, and regrettably I cannot buy NC at this time, so most of my pets' costumes are NP only. But where's the fun if you don't try, eh?

Of course the background is Neohome Background. Yes, cheap and simple, but perfect for Odi's origin!
And you can't forget his heroic and fighting side, so I have him wearing Woodland Archer Cape and Quiver. Yup this is NC, but I think I could probably manage a bit of cash for Odi!

Like the rest of my pets, you can expect that I would make Odi a lookup! If you'd like an example, check out Exee's page (link in family section below). I also hope to eventually finish a pet page containing the characters and story of Odi and his alien companion. I currently have a page in the works for my snake trio (can be seen at http://www.neopets.com/~blue_berry_pumpkin ) but it's very crude and is held together with selfies! I plan to change this very soon with self drawn images, but you get the idea. Odi would receive a similar treatment for his character page.

And of course, last but not least, I would enter Odi into various competitions, including my fav, the beauty contest since I love to draw! I'm rather new to BCing, but so far I've won two trophies for Exee, and I hope to do the same with halo very soon! The picture below in the story section would be Odi's very first BC entry. I'd also love to enter Odi into the art gallery! I do a fair bit of traditional and digital sculpting and you can expect that Odi would be making his appearance in 3D!

The Family

Let me tell you a little bit about Odi's hopefully soon-to-be family. I will admit that I do my fair share of trading; however, these brothers and sisters are all permanents, and I would never even consider trading them, even for the most prized name or unconverted.


halo20023 - She is perhaps my most prized baby. She was the first pet I ever created back when I was 11. I also covetted striped Kois more than anything. After returning from my (rather) long hiatus, I made the decision to love my darling again, and morph her into a striped Koi, and I have never been happier. I've been working on a character but nothing seems quite right. Everything has to be perfect for halo!

In the family, halo tends to be a little shy, but when she has an opinion, she's never afraid to speak up and fight to the bone for what she believes in. There's no doubt that she's the older sister, and when someone is mistaken, she makes sure that they know. She likes a lot of spicy foods and mango, and she absolutely loves the color red. She secretly loves Regira's quiet and timid personality because she reminds her of herself, but halo is too proud to ever admit it.


blue_berry_pumpkin - I also created him when I was young. I've always wanted him to be a Darigan, but that dream has always seemed to be just out of reach. If given the chance to morph him Darigan, I would be in heaven. I have had his character in mind since I was 12! He was always my little minion, and hopefully I'll have a darigan PB soon. He was kicked out of tyrannia for his looks when he was a child. He eventually wandered into the Citadel where he found many others like him. He quickly climbed up the ranks to be Lord Darigan's right hand man, but when the war began, he discovered all that he had previously admired was for naught. He rebeled against Darigan with the voice of Meridel, but even he could say nothing, and he was taken as prisoner. He managed to escape the Citadel only to find he was still not accepted throughout the rest of Neopia. Dejected, he often wandered the battlefields, guarding those who were like he was once, ignorant of they evil they defended.

In the family, blue loves to cause trouble. He's always got a new gag, or a prank. He's a good boy really, he just likes to do his own thing. He gets along especially well with his younger sister, who he likes to corrupt, and together, they like to give their older sister a hard time.


Regira - Regira was gifted to me by my boyfriend. Not only does she hold value to me for that reason, but it was always a dream for me to love a Hissi as my own. When she was dipped in the magma pool, I was elated. I've always been a fan of snakes both in game and in real life. I see them as lucky blessings that should be loved as much as the fluffy plushie Shoyrus! Regira is an innocent soul that was formed from the ashes prematurely. Hungry for knowledge and the experience of the world, she left the security of the magma, and sought out new places. Many people took her in and cared for her, and while she was in their care, they always found their wealth was doubled. Wherever Regira traveled, prosperity and good health followed her. Eventually, her pure but fragile soul grew weary of those who sought to exploit her. She knew she could not return to her birthing origin, and she wished to continue to provide wealth to those equally as pure of heart. So, Regira traveled to the one place she knew of; the heart of the Wishing Well. From there, she found few bothered her, and she could extend her prosperity to those deserving. Her new "home" is where she still resides, granting the wishes of those both generous themselves, and free of malice.

In the family, Regira spends most of her time curled in a warm corner, though being magma any corner is warm when she's there. But when she's not enjoying some alone time, she's doting on her older brother, blue. She tries really hard to get on halo's good side, but she'll always be the little sister; Regira often finds her intimidating. Sometimes she can be a little oblivious and naive, but her two older siblings make a point to see that she doesn't stay that way for too long.


Exee - Exee is a pretty new addition to our family. I traded her for my 4L Woodland Jubjub, which the whole PC was telling me was a huge trade down, but I absolutely loved everything about Exee and knew she would be a perm, so I didn't care and went ahead with the trade. She is a queen and dominantly commands all in her wake. An ancient bony fish, Exee swims through the ocean, hunting pre. Her transparent skin is a result of the lack of necessity for defense; the only defense she needs is her teeth. She was raised to be elegant and respectful, but she has grown out of those ways. The only thing that Exee respects is the ocean, and she refuses to be anything but vicious. She spends most of her days curled in a cave, but when she emerges she always returns with an impressive catch.

In the family, Exee has no interest. She has no desire to speak to or interact with the rest of the family, except out of necessity. She doesn't care if halo wants to be in charge, and she doesn't care if blue wants to cause trouble, she just wants to do her own thing.
Exee has won trophies!



Tawfi - Tawfi is the newest addition to our family. I traded her for my 8bit chomby and I couldn't be happier. I've been searching for an alien to suit the MSP's (hopefully Odi!) companion, but none jumped out at me the way Fi did! You've already read about her character so I won't babble on anymore!

In the family, Fi is very shy. She sits alone with Regira often, enjoying the comfort of silence. The two are very much the same; however, Fi sees the world with fresh eyes, the eyes of a foreigner. Often, she can be seen staring into her helmet, perhaps dreaming of her past life, and watching the light dance on the surface and trickle through to the floor.

The remainder of my pets are equally cared for but are not permanent additions to my family, as I feel they could receive a better home.

About Me

As you already know, my name is Samantha - but I really prefer to be called Sam. I'm 20 years old and am a rising third year university student. I'm currently studing animation and game design and spend most of my free time leading visual and story development for my baby, a pet-styled 3D adventure MMO called Prism. But when I'm not hunched over the computer modeling or animating, I'm hunched over Neopets, avidly trying to earn neopoints so that I can buy my dream pets.

As far as my neopets life goes, I've been playing since I was about 10, so I place a lot of childhood sentimental value in my account and my pets. I used to play just for the little flash games, but since then, I've realized the emotional value of "virtual pets" and how fulfilling it can be to "get a dreamie", or even draw and give attention to pets I've owned for a long time. I don't often enter contests (such a poetry, caption, random, etc), but I do love a good Beauty Contest! I also enjoy drawing my friends' pets, which I find equally rewarding!

Otherwise, I don't have many neopets "accomplishments". I have always better enjoyed my time here chatting in the boards and playing games. I don't feel the need to compete in order to appreciate and love my pets, that's not to say I don't love a good contest ;).

Let me tell you a little about Prism. Prism is an MMO that I created and am working on. You play as a character set in a world where monsters have taken control of most of the land. You can control these monsters and actually play as them by defeating them. There is an evil organization, known as "Glyph" that tries to rule all humans and monsters. The game is based around a crystal, called Prism, that has been fractured into shards that contain vast power and are protected by "legendary" monsters. Without the unity of the Prism the monsters grew restless and sought to reunite the legendaries; for this reason the player is given a monster and sent out into the world to defeat Glyph, and safely control the power that lies behind the strength of the monsters. I've included a bit of my work from this game in the "Art" section. If you'd like to know more I'd be happy to share!

Let me tell you about my accounts! But first a quick note. I don't wish to use this as a crutch, or an excuse but I do think that it's a legitimate point that needs to be explained and brought up. I created my first account in 2003, which was coolgrl20023. I created another account around the same time, coolgrl20025 (yes, super original!). cg20025 was my "main" and cg20023 was just another account I chatted with friends on sometimes. Sadly, cg20025 was frozen in 2005 for my own protection, along with all the money I had made, and my beloved pets! Unable to recover this account for a lack of account info, I left neopets to tend to my real life. In June of this year (2011) I found myself playing neopets again. I had to get reacquainted with the site, the new format, and most of all the conversion and customization! With all this chaos, sadly I haven't spent nearly as much time as I would like developing characters, or entering beauty contests. In no way do I want to use this as an excuse as to why my account seems relatively barren of "permies" or characters, or trophies, but merely an explanation. I understand that many owners do not wish to adopt to players who have previously been on hiatus because it shows a lack of dedication or because of fear they will leave their pets to rot, but I can guarantee you that this is not the case with me. I am on neo for the long haul, and of course real life has to come first, I will always stay by my pets, and my accounts.

I created this account originally to host pound pets before they are zapped, but when I was surfing, I found many pets that I actually wanted to keep! Why me?
So you may be wondering why I'm the right person to adopt Odiello. Well as you can see, Odi would come to not only a loving home, but a home full of exciting things! I'm very active on neo, even with my university studies, and I'm always working on my pets and account. Ever since I started playing neo as a kid, I found myself loving the MSP design. ಥ‿ಥ I've always had a liking for designing characters for my pets, but for Odi, my MSP love, I would do everything! I am so excited to enter him into pet spotlights, beauty contests, and art galleries! Of course like all the other pets and players out there, I would care for Odi with plenty of food, books, and toys, but Odi would mean so much more to me than that. Odi would be a new world to explore, and a creature to develop!
