As one could guess by the name, we are dedicated to those magnificent winged creatures who have such a huge impact on Neopia that it's almost frightening. Everywhere you look, you see something either pertaining to or inspired by Faeries! From the lofty reaches of Faerieland to down here in our humble Neopia bazaar, faerie-related items have been included in almost every aspect of our every day lives.

Currently under partial construction, this shrine was last updated October of 2005. You may notice the occasional broken link or missing bit of information, but please be patient as we renovate the remaining parts of our shrine. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions then don't hesitate to contact the creator of this shrine, MistressMoon. Thank you!
So who are these mysterious creatures who are such a grand part of our world? Few and far between, with the exception of some of the more sociable, many of the Faeries prefer to keep out of the public eye. Despite this, it is quite common for them to approach a neopian in hopes of persuading them to fetch them a specific item or even to bless them with a new ability or gift! As one could expect by the name, Faerieland is home to countless of these winged wonders as well as many other odd creatures.
Even with so many people whom adore Faeries, there are always those who loathe them. One good example would be the infamous Balthazar, a bounty hunter who catches Faeries in order to sell them back to Neopians. Thousands of Faeries have been caught by this lupe, placed in jars, and put on the market. Although many people view this Lupe as a barbarian, it truely stems back to how horribly a group of Darkness faeries treated him when we was abandoned as a cub.
There are many rumors about Faeries. Some suspect that it was Faeries that crated Neopia in the first place, helping early Neopians establish the basics of what has grown into a great city with the good of their hearts, while others may think that if they did have any hand in the creation of Neopia, it was only to further their own selfish needs of using us for quests. Many believe that the Faeries are older than time itself, although no one can prove such a theory and none of them are willing to give their own opinion on such a theory. One thing is certain, however. Faeries are here to stay.

There are many Air Faeries in Neopia. Although there are no overly famous Faeries of this type, most of them look strikingly similar. Blond hair and blue-eyed, they often dress in billowy gowns composed of gauzy sapphire fabric. They are moderately pale, and slender. Their wings are large and blue in color. It is astonishing that even with the countless air faerie sightings that are reported, none have become famous yet. As suggested by their name, they can command the element of air and wind, though no one knows to what extent.

Although there are countless Earth Faeries, one in specific is widely known. Most Earth Faeries dress similar, in simplistic dresses of green. Their hair us almost always a dark brown, and their wings are often large and in an emerald pattern that resembles leaves. Illusen, however, is only slightly different.

Protecting Meridell from the Darigan invasion.

face is freckled. Wings are similar to any Earth Faerie, large and green in a
manner that resembles leaves.

for a quest
for Illusen, but she will not give you one if you've helped her rival, Jhudora,
that same day.
Rumors: Some believe Illusen left Faerieland of her own
free will, while others believe that Dark Faeries (lead by Jhudora) forced her
out.

Water Faeries in Neopia are nostalgic to mermaids of ancient legend. The upper body of a Faerie and the lower body of a fish-like creature, these faeries don't possess wings! You can see them dancing amongst the waves of Maraqua and even in the more aquatic areas of Faerieland. Although there are a few original and famous water faeries, most of them commonly look similar to one another. They traded in their wings for a mermaid-like body, coupled with blond hair and blue eyes as well as a pale complexion.

The Rainbow Fountain Faerie

Fountain

Brushing her long hair.

beautiful creature. A mermaids body composes two thirds of her figure, covering
it with blue scales. Long, golden hair is streaked with blue strands that flow
against her pale face, pointed ears, and bare shoulders. Eyes are blue as well,
matching the color of her eyebrows and the triangular mark on her forehead. She
wears a thin choker, as well as a pearl bracelet.
Additional Information:
Even though the Rainbow Fountain no longer has magical abilities because so
many people have bathed in it, the faerie refuses to leave.

Neopets.

similar to the other. Long hair, often either dirty blond or light brown, is streaked
with green or blue strands and worn very messy. Scales cover two thirds of their
bodies, in a green or blue coloration, leaving only their arms and shoulders exposed.
They each have pointed ears and dark eyes, two of them possessing a classic style
of fish tail while the third has an eel-like tail. Each one of them possesses
long nails, possibly sharper than they appear.
Additional Information:
The Drenched often challange travelers to a fight in the Battledome.
Rumors:
Some believe that the Drenched are ancient villians who were banished from Maraqua
after attempting horrible evils.

Fire Faeries are everywhere in Neopia, few of them have become famous yet. They all look strikingly similar and each possess a strong ability to manipulate the fire element. Because of this, they tend to live around volcanos according to many rumors. Fire Faeries often have brown hair, and brown or red eyes. Their wings are nostalgic of fire, often scalloped and composed of oranges and reds in wispy patterns. Their clothing varies, but many prefer an array of colors that range from red, orange, yellow, or possibly brown.

Lost Desert

fiery wings.

Additional Information:
None
Rumors: Some believe Nuria is as old as the Lost Desert itself.

There are an estimated population of 33,000 Light Faeries in Neopia. Despite how there aren't any overly popular Light Faeries to this day, many of them look strikingly similar. Often given long, blond hair and golden eyes, they dress in beautiful gowns of gold and yellow and occasionally wear crowns or decorative ornaments in their hair. Their wings are large and simplistic, composed of shades of yellow.
Light Faeries despise Darkness Faeries by nature. Naturally good and pure, Light Faeries do everything in their power to ensure that Good triumphs over Evil. They don't often leave the lofty realm of Faerieland, but they occasionally grant holy powers to a neopet who is pure of heart and spirit.
A story about two Lupes who find a Light Faerie can be found in the Neopedia.

There are approximately 25,000 Darkness Faeries in existance. Dark Faeries are minions of the evil one himself and are more than happy to tempt those who are weak at heart. Although Dark Faeries are extremely powerful, their particular type of magic leaves neopets tainted forever. Many Dark Faeries look similar; Purple hair ranges in length, and their complexion is more often than not a soft lavander. Dressed in plum, their outfits can range from long skirts to pants, corsets to tank tops, and so on. Their wings are bat-like, nostalgic of the stereotype for a demon. You can read a story about a Darkness Faerie in the Neopedia. Darkness Faeries despise the Light Faeries and go out of their way to create trouble for them whenever possible.
There are, however, several Dark Faeries that are infamous for their own unique things.

Name:
Jhudora
Element: Darkness
Home: Faerieland
Occupation:
Creating problems for Illusen and other faeries.
Hobbies: Tempting naive
neopets to complete quests for her.

coupled with dark purple eyes and green lips, as well as sharp-looking green nails.
Her hair is a dark plum, streaked with strands of lime. Wings are massive, purple
with the interior of a forest green hue and fashioned in an almost demonic manner.
The dark faerie wears a long dress of plum and lime, long sleeves are scalloped
to leave her hands exposed and billow off her arms.

Cloud if you wish to complete quests for her.

one can prove it, many believe that Jhudora's rewards carry dark curses of their
own.

The Dark Faerie Sisters
Element: Dark
Home: Unknown
Occupation:
Causing trouble for unsuspecting Neopians
Hobbies: Shopping
Appearance:
Each one of these three faeries possess the same basic qualities. Powder blue
skin, dark blue or nearly black hair, and leathery wings of black and blue. However,
each has their own style. The first has long hair left down, an outfit consisting
of pants, boots, and a shirt with a flared backing that acts like a cape. The
second wears her hair short and in pig tails, wearing a short dress and leggings.
The third has her long hair pulled back, wearing a long black gown. Don't let
their fashionable appearance decieve you, they're pure evil!
Additional
Information: This dark trio is seldom seen, but their popularity landed them
their own card in the Neopets card game.
Rumors: Some believe that these
tree dark faeries are the triplet daughters of chaos, hate, and greed.
| Queen Faerie Quests | Snow Faerie Quests | Rainbow Fountain Faerie Quests | Space Faerie Quests | Earth Faerie Quests | Air Faerie Quests | Fire Faerie Quests | Water Faerie Quests | Light Faerie Quests | Dark Faerie Quests | Illusen Quests | Jhudora Quests |
There are several different types of Quests when it comes to Faeries. Elemental Faeries will seek you out when they wish for you to perform a Quest for them, while Faeries such as Taelia the Snow Faerie, Illusen, and Jhudora will allow you to do quests for them under most circumstances if you ask. No matter who asked you or how you got the quest, you can either choose to do the quest or reject it. If you decide not to do the quest, the Faeries will get slightly angry and won't ask you to do another quest for some time! So think hard about it before you decide.
Faerie Quests can be expensive. Most of the time, a Faerie will want something rare or difficult to find without the shop wizard. Unless you are a Neopets veteran or a packrat, there's a huge chance that you don't have the item at the time that the faerie wants it. This can be easily solved if you have the money, however. The trading post often has a wide selection of items that you can haggle with other players for and there's always the option if checking the notice board where people spend millions of neopoints to get their ads posted. Most of the time, clans or groups will post a large advertisement with shops that specialize in carrying items that specific faeries ask for, but at a slightly elevated price! The best choice, if you have access to the Neopets message boards, is to visit the Quest Board in search of others who will be more than happy to direct you to a shop of theirs that may have the item you seek.
On to the Faerie Quests! Each Faerie is rated on several aspects, including Rarity, price, reward, and so on. This is based on a 5 point system of my own personal opinion. Although some Faerie Quests are common, I'm still working on creating a list of the items that certain faeries commonly ask for. Please be patient on that, and if you have any information you'd be willing to share on items or rewards that faeries have given you, feel free to neomail mistressmoon!
On rare occasions, the Faerie Queen will desire a specific item and take it upon herself to ask a random Neopian to fetch it for her. The items she desires can range in any catagory, rarity, or price range. Despite the expense of getting her the item, she is the most powerful Faerie in Neopia and her rewards are well worth it.
Rarity: 5/5 : She barely ever gives out quests.

always great!

The Snow Faerie, Taelia, will be glad to give you a quest if you ask.
Rarity: 1/5 : You have to visit her to request
a quest.
Difficulty: 3/5 : Moderately Challanging.
Price:
3/5 : Can range from cheap to expensive.
Reward: 2/5 : Usually cheap
weapons, a few neopoints, and some cheap food.
Items: Anything : Chocolates,
Snow Foods...
Comments: If you have some neopoints to burn and want
to spend some time keeping busy with a quest, this is worth a shot, but it definately
won't make you much money. You're more likely to lose money with this. However,
it us rumored that on occasion she will give our great rewards, but that just
depends on how long you're willing to try for those.
Rainbow Fountain Faerie Quests
The Rainbow Fountain Faerie barely ever asks for anything. Her requests can range from common to very rare items but the reward of using her Rainbow Fountain she bestows upon Neopets who complete her quest is well worth the challange and price.
Rarity:
5/5 : She hardly ever gives out quests.
Difficulty: 5/5 : Extremely
challanging.
Price: 5/5 : Almost always very expensive.
Reward:
5/5 : The ability to paint your active pet any desired color!
Items:
Anything : Blumaroo Gnome Making Kit, Happy Anniversary Negg, Jumbo Shapeshifter
Board, Upside Down Ice Cream, Jhuidah Table...

afford it, do it! If not, try to earn the money instead of cancelling.
The Space Faerie doesn't usually ask others for help, but in the rare occasion that she wishes something she cannot get for herself, she is willing to ask another. The item she asks for is random and varies in price, but if you would like an increase in levels that this is well worth your time and money.
Rarity: 5/5 : She hardly ever gives
out quests.

if the item is cheaper than the codestones necessary to manually raise your pets
levels.
The Earth Faerie is never too timid to ask random Neopians for magical items, especially ones that are rather spendy. Magical potions and trinkets are common requests. Despite her usually expensive taste, she doesn't give a magnificent reward but rather fills your pets belly with food.
Rarity: 2/5 : She is a common
quest giver.
Difficulty: 4/5 : Usually challanging
Price:
4/5 : Usually something spendy, but sometimes cheap.
Reward: 1/5 : All
she does is feed your pets!
Items: Magical items : Healing Potion, Healing
Potion II, Healing Potion III, , Healing Potion IV, , Healing Potion V, Other
Healing Potions, Starlight Potion, Lime Elixir, Magic Vial, Nanka Bottle, Stream
of Light, Fire Jug, Steam Jug, Tornado in a bottle, Nova, Supernova...
Comments:
The prices are high and the reward is very low. Not a suggestable quest to accept,
even if your pet is starving since you can get the same effect at the healing
springs.
The Air Faerie wishes for beauty products and cosmetics and would like people to find them for her so that she may make herself look even better. In return, she oftern blesses faithful neopians with raised agility.
Rarity: 2/5 : She
is a common quest giver.
Difficulty: 3/5 : Moderately challanging.

Nail Varnish, Blue Nail Varnish, Black Lipstick, Blue Lipstick, Dark Red Lipstick,

Blue Long Hair Brush, Blue Short Hair Brush, Yellow Glittery Brush, Red Mirror,
Blue Mirror, Green Mirror, Perfume, Shampoo, Bar of Soap, Hairspray, Towel, Pink
Toothbrush, Blue Toothbrush, Factor 15 Sun Tan Lotion...
Comments: Although
an increase in agility isn't considered that great of a reward by most, many of
the items she asks for are cheaper than the codestones it would take to increase
your pets agility on your own. This is useful for Neopians who like the Battle
Dome.
The Fire Faerie has a desire for fashionable clothing and accessories. They are not often too expensive and in exchange for the requested item she will be more than happy to raise a pets strength.
Rarity: 2/5 : She is a common quest

Comments: Asking for
usually cheap clothing or accessories, she rewards you with raising your pets
strength. This is by far cheaper than the codestones it would take to do it on
your own and is very helpful to those who fight in the Battle Dome.
The Water Faerie thirsts for knowledge and will always enjoy a book from someone who accepts her quest. After recieving the book she desires, she raises a pets defense.
Rarity: 2/5 : She
is a common quest giver.

your pet to have higher defense.

Comments: The toys she asks for aren't usually too
expensive and she increases your pets health in return. This is a helpful quest
for any Battle Dom players.
Illusens quests aren't like most of the other Faeries. Hers are more like a game, with different levels to pass. There are 50 levels and each level item is more expensive than the last. There is limited time and if you fail a level then you are forced to start back at level 1. Her later rewards are nice to have but the earlier ones will leave you unsatisfied.
Rarity: 1/5 : You have to visit her
to request a quest.
Difficulty: 5/5 : Extremely Challanging.
Price:
4/5 : Usually pretty expensive, especially in the higher levels.
Reward:
3/5 : Rewards aren't impressive until level 20 and above.
Items: Anything
: ...
Comments: If you have neopoints burning a hole in your pocket
and would like a challange, try your luck. You won't find any great rewards until
the later levels, and that's only if you can make it that far. You have only about
15 minutes to complete each quest and you can only take a quest every 12 hours.
You can also not take a quest within 12 hours of taking a quest from Jhudora.
Like Illusen's Quests, Jhudora's are in a level-based system. It is just as expensive and as difficult as her rivals quests, and there is the same time limit. If you fail to pass one of the levels, you are reset back to level 1 and must redo all your lost work. It can get very expensive, but is rewarding once you get to the higher levels.
