Welcome to the community of Luna guild members, it's a place where you can have fun, chat and be yourself, but there's so much more you can do. We recommend you complete the following steps to ensure you have the most fun in our guild.

Introduce yourself on the guild message board - make sure you mention your name. It would help if you put your name in your siggie, so that it is easier to remember your name. If you haven't posted in your first week, then we will neomail you to ask why, if you still do not post, you will be removed from the guild.

Enable Guild Mailings - Go to your preferences and find "enable guild mailings" and make sure the box next to it is checked. This is so that you do not miss out on the newsletter sent out by the council members containing important information you may be interested in.

Read the Guild Rules - familiarise yourself with our guild rules - I know you dread the rules, but there in place to make sure that everyone is happy and life is easier.

Join a Team - Take a look at our teams, and neomail Amie the name of the team you would like to join. Make sure your subject title is "Guild Teams".

Neo-friend the guild council members - To let you know, the guild is owned by Amie. When you neo-friend her, you will allow yourself to take part in auctions when you are promoted up a rank.

Add your Birthday to the Calendar - We understand if you want to keep this information private, but by putting your birthday up on the calendar you can claim your birthday pack on your birthday (you must be at least a half moon).

Sumbit your Profile to the Member Directory - Feel free to neomail Amie with some information about yourself, we'd love to learn more about you.

Here are the rules. Please take time to read them, they are to make Luna a safe and friendly environment. We hope you obey them, however, if you do not, there is a simple warning system. Firstly, you will be sent a warning neo-mail, then if you disobey the rules again, you will be sent another warning neo-mail, but you will also be notified that you are no longer able to participate in events, activities, auctions etc. for one week. Any other rule breaking afterwards will result in you being suspended and possibly deleted from the guild. Other than these rules, we expect you to follow TNT's rules for neopets.

Activeness - At Luna we do require you to be active, we do member sweeps regularly, but don't worry, we will send out a guild newsletter before each sweep. We require you to post at least once per week - which isn't too hard. If you are going to have to stay off neopets for whatever reason, neomail Amie with your reason and how long you expect to be gone.

Literacy - Luna is a semi-literate guild, this means no chatspeak (so no tlkin lyk dis cos sum ppl cnt understnd) we will allow some simple acronyms like lol or omg, but please limit your use of these, we have no problem with you using smilies in your posts. We do require you to post messages on the boards containing at least 3 words (not including smilies), and do not post more than 3 messages in a row.

Friendliness - We want our guild to be a positive and friendly environment, we do not tolerate any mean or bad behaviour.

When you join the guild you are given the default rank as a "New Moon", I'm guessing you want to know how to gain the next rank up! So here's how:

New Moon - The default rank when you join the guild, you can't bid on 1NP auctions yet, or claim a birthday pack. You recieve a newbie pack when you have proven you are active, and when you have posted at least 10 non-spam posts.

Half Moon - To receive this rank you must have been in the guild for a week and post 20 non-spam posts on the message boards. At this rank you may bid on 1NP auctions, claim birthday packs etc.

Full Moon - To receive this rank you must have been in the guild for at leats one month, posted 50 non-spam posts on the message boards, and recruited 2 people. Plus, you must have helped within the guild by hosting a page or event etc.

Odd Jobb - To get this rank you must have obtained a job through our job vacancies page.

Sub-Council - This is the rank sub-council members recieve, to be a sub-council member you must have got the full moon rank and have applied for the position through our job vacancies page.

The next member sweep will be on 1st May 2011, if you know of any time you will not be able to be on neopets, please neomail Amie asap.

If you have not posted on 25th April or later, then you will be neomailed, and possibly deleted from the guild. A guild neo-mail will be sent out on 25th April as a reminder.

Not all applicants will be accepted, but please do not feel disheartened if you are not accepted, you may try to apply again in the future if you wish.

Job Vacancies

Admins
These are the 3 available council spots, for these positions you will be expected do a variety of things, such as:

Monitor the message boards and calendar.

Enforce the guild rules and neopets rules.

Host and run a number of pages for the guild including activities pages, graphics pages, etc.

Edit the guild homepage as well as other pages

Run guild events

Advertising, and completing a number of other tasks vital to the running of the guild.

Requirements: You must be VERY active and dedicated to the guild. You must be very friendly, organised and reliable.

Advertisers
This job will entail:

Making original or premade ads promoting the guild.

Recruiting as many members as possible to the guild.

Creating advertising boards.

Getting the guild put in directories or rated on review sites.

Sending welcome messages to new members.

Requirements: You MUST be a good communicator and a good advertiser. You will need to be active, friendly, polite and literate.

Graphic Designers / CSS stylists
By getting this job you will be expected to:

Create custom-made layouts, banners and graphics

Create and host original petpages with Luna graphics

Work closely with the council to produce high-standard graphics.

Requirements: You must produce a small portfolio of graphics you have previously created on your own, you must be creative, active and be able to code.

Rule Enforcers
This job requires patience, and you will be expected to:

Enforce all guild and neopets rules by informing council members of rule-breakers.

Making sure the message boards are free from spamming.

Sending warnings to guild members who break rules once.

Some may be given the privilege to suspend or delete members from the guild who have persisted to break the rules.

Requirements: You must be a good communicator, and very active. You must be very polite but firm with the rules.

Spell Checker
This is another job requiring patience where you will be expected to:

Review all guild pages when they have been updated, looking for spelling errors and notifying the page hostess of these spelling errors.

Remember that some page hostesses are in American or English countries that spell slightly differently.

Requirements: You must be very patient and active. You must also be a good speller and a good communicator.

Sub-Council Member
There are currently 5 sub-council spots available. Sub-council members will be expected to:

Work alongside the council to enforce rules, run teams, organise events etc.

Find your "niche" and work on what you do best at, eg. graphics, writing etc.

Check that people are completing jobs correctly and to a high standard.

Complete tasks requested by council members.

The Sub-Council leader will be communicated to regularly, and will also oversee other sub-council members.

Requirements: You must be very active, organised and reliable; Plus you must be friendly and dedicated to the guild.

Guild Magazine Employee
By working on the guild magazine you could be doing a variety of different things, such as:

Write articles about neo-related topics

Analyse the latest things on neopets, write reviews

Run polls and do a write up afterwards.

Create long or short comic strips

Put your own stamp on our guild magazine and entertain readers

Requirements: - You must be extremely literate and a good speller, you must produce a piece of work (either an article, comic, etc.) which will be your first piece of work submitted to the magazine - you may be asked to add to this or adjust it slightly. You must be able to cope with deadlines - the guild newspaper is updated weekly so you will need to sumbit work before the end of the week.

Hey! My name is Amie, I live in London. My passions are drawing and generally being with my friends.
