The lost one...

A green xweetok, with black stripes down his back, sits under a maple and oak tree. Those trees have been there for as long as he could remember. Ever since that night his sister and he was born, the trees flurished. They still grow in years to come, but that's beside the point. But the maple tree- unlike normal plants- never blooms in spring, and only grows four small leaves. One black, two green, and one gray.
Many don't understand why, but the xweetok knows. He understands what had made his sister vanish, and why she died and yet lives. Only one truely beleives him...

Painful memories
One cannot start in the middle of a story, and still know what is going on, and why. I'll start at my beginning.

It was Midsummer Day, a special day for many; my mother, one of them. She couldn't beleive that she was going to have her first child. My father stood by her side, anxiously waiting, she gave him a sigh and asked him to get the midwife. He grunted and ran out of their under ground burro. The midwife was sitting calmly in a flower bed; soon as she saw him, she hurried inside the earthly hole. Not wanting to be in the way, my father stayed outside. It seemed like days 'til the midwife's head popped out and told him he could come in.There's a surprise waiting for you

Unsure what that ment, he rushed in side. While he went into the small home, the midwife planted a maple and an oak seed in the soft ground. She mummbled something, almost like fates are sealed. Meanwhile, my father trots up to my mum, and speaks quietly. Wha-what's the surprise?...Did...did it....Die?

Mum gave a brisk laugh, No, hun, it's alright. There are two of them.

Two of them? Twins. His voice swelled with pride only a father of twins could have. Timidly he walked over to my mother's side and gazed upon the newborns. How do you feel?

Mother said she's been better and was in no discomfort. She was laying down with my siser and I at her side sound asleep. My sister sighed in her sleep.
