Hello, young traveler. My name is Mister, and I am an old Wizard as you see... My time here will be ending by tomorrow, as my species doesn't allow me to stay on this dimension. One friend of mine, a Ghost Hissi, can stay here all time he wants. Lucky him... Do you want to know more about this mirror land, right? Then, I'll tell you a story... I believe I have time for that.
There was an age that all Neopia had a second dimension, a Mirror World. It was called The King Wu Dimension. Why you ask? Well, this is a darker tale.
Ages ago, King Wu used to be the ruler on Neopia, before Sloth's attack and the heroes to show up. He was a great king, an Ice Krawk who loved to help others.
After some time, his younger sister, Yen-Kai, wanted to take charge. As Wu were alredy old, he decided to give her the throne if she completed one quest. He asked Yen-Kai for a special, rare mirror only made at the Haunted Woods. The mirror had the power to create a brand new dimension, just like the old one. But they had to pay a price: once created, the mirror would close the portal, and only the first descendant from the Creator (Wu) could open it again, so people could be released from the curse.
Yen-Kai did what Wu wanted. Without knowing of the great power of the mirror, she simply gave it to Wu. Of course, the Mirror would need Magic to be activated. Knowing that, the king, that didn't have any powers, offered a something else to the Mirror to be activated. I know you are wondering what he offered...
As he still wanted Neopia for himself, and didn't want to dissapoint Yen-Kai, he offered his Soul to the mirror. That satisfied it, so it opened the portal. Just a while before leaving his own body, Wu made Yen-Kai promise that she would enter on the portal right after it's apperance.
So that's what Yen-Kai did. She entered there, and started to rule that world, know as Aipoen. She told the Elders her story, what happend to her brother and all. They were impressed, but Yen-Kai didn't get the true reason.
After some time, one of the Elders, Chai-Mai, told her that the true reason they were impressed: the consequences of giving a Soul to the Mirror instead of using Magic. Of course, Wu knew that, but he didn't want Yen-Kai to know. When a Ruler gives his soul to the Mirror, he recieves a curse: to live as a Ghost zombie, lurking around the old dimension, waiting for the day that the descendant would save him. The Chosen one would have Magic, to save the King.
As no Magic being appeared to help Wu when he needed to open the portal, Yen-Kai got extremely mad, and sent all the Magical people out of Aipoen. From that moment on, all the magic-related people had to keep a secret, guarded with their life.
So, that's the story. I feel that the Chosen on is alredy born... I wonder who he might be?
