Welcome guest, to the Neowood of the 1950's. My name is Marilyn MonrOna and I am going to introduce you to the cutest little wintery petpet ever made--the Ona! I hope you enjoy all the exciting information I have to offer!

UPDATE: Marilyn, Noctuina, and Destiny would like to thank everyone who enjoyed the site! WE WON SITE SPOTLIGHT!!!!

The tiny bear-like petpet known as the Ona was introduced on the Neopets site on December 17, 2002 (see news shot below).

On this day in neohistory, we also saw the final wave of the Darigan/Meridell war, some snazzy new wintery petpet colors, and some new seasonal morphing potions and neggs! Another important Ona event happened less than a year later. On December 3rd, 2003, the White Ona was given out as an Advent Calendar prize. These are special Ona's that are unpaintable (to stop the original Onas from deflating). 2006 was an eventful Ona year! On October 19th, the original Ona color was given the PPL (Petpet Protection League) award! And finally on December 22nd of 2006, the Ona got some well deserved attention, as it was dubbed *cue trumpets* ONA DAY! Onas currently come in 19 colors, including the original blue and the advent white. Onas also got some exposure when Tarla, the loved/hated deflator of items, handed out Pink Onas on August 9th, September 13th, AND October 5th of 2006. Ona enthusiast are patiently awaiting an aged petpet avatar featuring these cuddly lil' petpets! *pokes TNT* Hint hint!

Below you will find all of the current 23 colors that Onas can be painted, with the exception of white of course. If you are unsure of a color name, hover over the Ona to see what color it is and the date that color was featured in the news (neomail me if you know the release date of the Orange Onas)!

Did you know there were Ona themed toys and items? Oh yes of course there are! They currently come from many different shops such as Usuki, Petpet Supply, and Toy. Take a gander at the ones that were in the news over the years!

Onas seem to have been a favorite choice for some fun images. I mean look at the ones below! Are they not fun?

Onas are also popular in neopets art as well as fan art. Below you can see the backgrounds and such that TNT offers. There is also a link to the "How to Draw" section for Onas. Click the images to get to the bigger picture or to the "How to" section. Also take a look through the art gallery (especially Dec. 22nd, 2006), neogreetings and the caption contests--those cuddly creatures pop up everywhere! Also, I have included a picture I drew myself featuring my Mutant Ona and my Pirate Ona. All other art will be linked to the artist!

There are many onas out there that are attached to neopets! Lucyfer, my mutant ona is one of them! She won petpet spotlight on August 25th, 2006, and ever since she has been trying to form an Ona Army! Destiny is working on Charms to show your loyalty to the Ona cause. If you want to display a charm on your pet's profile please save the image to your own server and add to your pet's profile coding!

I hope you enjoyed my Ona tribute! Neomail me, x_seabee_x, with any questions, comments, or suggestions. Please feel free to link back to me using the button below!
