About the Page

Hey there guest, welcome to +Msgs! I cooked up this little project following a recent downpoint in my life. I thought to myself, Neopets needs more positive messages, and, frankly, we could all benefit from a little positivity in our lives. I've decided to run this project for a minimum of the next 30 days, but I'm looking for your positivity and help.

On the homepage, I'll be uploading a new pictoral positive message every day, along with a new colour for the layout to reflect that day's "positive colour". After all, who doesn't like colour? Where do you come in with this project you ask? Well, guest, I want your positive messages! All you have to do is send me (1_ricky_1) a neomail containing your positive message, and the colour you'd like to nominate as the colour of the day. If I think that others can benefit from your positive message, (and frankly, who can't benefit from positivity) then you'll see your message on the homepage in the upcoming days. As I've stated, I intend to keep this page going for the next 30 days, where it will be terminating on the 3rd of July. I have set this time limit as a trial basis for the project, but if this takes off (as I really hope it does) or I thoroughly enjoy it, I may decide to continue the project for an extended period of time (but that's all up to you, guest). I will be keeping the old +Msgs on this page as well. To view them, click the two smiling icons to your left. If you'd like to find out more about boring old me, click the Jhudiah's head icon.

Before I begin my lengthy ramble about myself, let me tell you about the person who made this site happen. My boyfriend Victor (british_faerie) spent the better part of his night and day coding and designing this page for me so that it would be easy to change the colour as the days progressed. I'll be honest, I'm dreadful at coding, so, without him, there would be a lot less positivity in Neopia. :)

Hello there! (: My name is Rhys, and I happen to be the sweetest person you'll ever meet. If you're struggling to pronounce my name, think of Reese's Pieces or simply read the phonetics (rees). I love to customise my pets, especially with wigs. :3 You can view my wig collection here and also my NC wishlist and tradelist. More poignantly, I'm an amazing artist who draws people's pets from time to time. I'm less likely to respond to neomail requests, so it's better if you catch me on an art board I've created. Otherwise, I work on differing projects here on Neopets or am away working on my Art History degree. You can see some of my Neopets artwork on my art page. You can also see the avatars I'm currently working on at that page, along with some of my personal favourite achievements here on Neopets. I love collecting avatars and, if I do say so myself, I'm not too bad at it at all. I'm currently at 307 avatars and do not have BGC, MSPP or SuAP. Not that I'd say no to being lent the avatars! Hint hint.

On top of all of that, I also draw comics for the NT. :3 I really need to get working on that avatar for 10 submissions, especially since I already have 8 accepted submissions! Well, I think that's enough from me for now. I'll bid you adieu and hope that you enjoy exploring my Userlookup!

Want to share your positivity with the world guest? Great! I just need you do to a few things for me:

1.) Send a neomail to 1_ricky_1
2.) In your neomail include if you'd like your username (guest) mentioned or simply would prefer to stay "anonymous"
3.) Write out in quotations ("these things") the exact text you'd like to appear in your message. Note: I may adjust spelling and grammar, but don't rely on me.
4.) Tell me what the colour of the day should be for the page. You can be as specific as you like, if you'd like to include a hex code, that's great too.
Note: If I feel the art I've drawn doesn't mess well with your message I may have to change your colour. I greatly apologize, but I'd like to avoid hideous combinations like turquoise and magenta for example.
5.) Please be polite. This site is about positivity, so manners are encouraged.
6.) IMPORTANT: This is a Neopets petpage, and thus must follow the T&C put forth by the site. Please make sure your messages are appropriate and do not break the rules, or obviously I cannot use them.
7.) I draw these at my discretion, and the art, as well as the wording used within the art, belongs to me. If you intend to use any of these messages (even if it's your own) after it has appeared on the site, please contact me before stealing my art (I will 99% of the time say yes to allowing people to use my art, but I just like to keep tabs on where it is going/being used for).
