The Haunted Woods
The Haunted Woods is an area that resembles the Neopet version of Halloween. It has the swamps, the woods, the graveyeards, and the monsters. The Haunted Woods as well inhabits a Deserted Fairground and a gypsy camp known as Neovia. Other than that, it holds the most exotic petpets, exquisite food, and spooky furniture Neopia has ever seen! It's swamps are the most beautiful things you will ever see. Graveyards are the best architecture you will ever see. And the inhabitants, pure gorgeous.. Just remember stay far away because you don't know what they might do... and here is the picture map of the Haunted Woods:
With this, I present to you the most visited areas of The Haunted Woods! Get ready to see why this place is one of the most visited areas by Neopians!
Spooky Petpets
One of the most visited places in the Haunted Woods is it's Petpet Shop. But why must you ask? This place holds the most adorable little critters Neopia has ever seen! They may be mischievous, but if you bare them with much love and sincerity, they might grow up to be the most adorable pets! The most frightening too! So, there are a variety of these petpets, already in their natural color. But, later on, you'll be able to create other petpets turn Haunted Wood's style. Now here are some pictures of some of the petpets:
Now after all that, of course there needs to be someone who loves the petpets so much they could bear with them forever, right? Well, here she is, the shopkeeper of the petpets! Give here around of applause for all her hard work on helping these critters survive and get all the caring they need! Unfortunately , she couldn't be in this page because she didn't like pictures. I mean, come on! She may be a vampire but it doesn't mean she has no reflection!
Game Graveyard
Another most visited area is the Game Graveyard. This is where old games are buried but are still usable! The only thing is that you will not get neopoints out of them because they dont exist anymore. Games such as the original Dubloon Disaster or Magax Destroyer are buried there. They also have beeb replaced with a more spiffy version of the game. If the old game had an avatar, you can still get it but you have to get a new higher score for the game. Anywho, this is one place you might want to try out and see what were the games like in Old Neopia. Sorry but I wasn't able to get pictures of this area because no one dared to get near it because of its spooky inhabitants. ( The zombies and mutants ) So you might want to take a look at this one yourself.
Neovia
A city once cursed, Neovia was saved and its buildings restored by dedicated citizens who call it home. This place is the closest the otherwise grim Haunted Woods comes to having a bright spot.
This area was once cursed indeed by the evil Mayor Thumburt. Now not cursed, this area is now a place tha is indeed visited because of it's literature, food, antiques, and fancy clothing. They actually had a plot about it. Neopians and famous Neopians like Sophie the Swamp Witch, Ilere of the Woods, Gilly of The Castle of Eliv Thade, the now famous Krawley and Bruno and helped save Neovia! An amazing story isn't it?
Other than this nice folktale, The shops are exquisite! The Crumpetmonger serves the best pastries in all of Neopia! The Chesterdrawers' Antiques has the most ancient but still in good shape furniture you could ever find! Furniture for a good reading room! The Neovian Printing Press has the best literature ever! Gives the ancient tales if cities and how they came to be! And finally The Prigpants & Swolthy, Tailors has the best clothes you could wear! So if you're going to a ball, masquarade ball/party, or anything fancy, this is the place to get the clothes at low prices!
The Deserted Fairground
Deep within the Haunted Woods lies a spooky old fairground. It looks like it might have been a lot of fun before *something* drove everyone away...
This place is one of the places you might want to visit because of it's Fair Games. This place holds weapons, ghosts, furniture, and games you could play! But becareful what you play! Something happened to this place that had everyone spooked.. Probably those darn wind-up chia dolls Sloth created in the Carnival of Terror.
This area of the Haunted Woods contains weapons like you've never would have guessed! These weapons have the biggest amount of magical energy, alongside faerie weapons that Neopia has ever seen! The shopkeeper that runs the shops is one of the strongest weapons experts, alongisde The Battle Faerie and other weapon shop owners! Here is the shop copy of what he had when I was exploring The Deserted Fairground....

Wow! You look strong, well, you don't really. I was lying. I bet you couldn't even score two points! Pick up the mallet (if you can), and prepare to test your strength... (It costs 100NP to play!)
This exciting game sees how strong you are. From weakling to jackpot!, you can be rated a strong Neopian in just one game! The game is pretty much self explanatory so I will show you the mynci who runs the place, Arnold and the trophies you can get from him. As well as some of the prizes you can get from the game:
Yooyu Ball Team
So here we are at Yooyuball! The famous Altadorian Sport! And yes! Our very own Haunted Woods has a team! Yay! As you may have not heard or did, The Haunted Woods Team won the cup last year! They were the very first team to win the cup! WHOO! Now this year they're going at it again but I'm not sure they'll win. But who cares? They were the very first to win the very first cup so that's all that matters! And here is the team I root for:
And from left to right, the members or players of the team are Fanetti, Krell Vitor, Zo Junior, Wan Dirx, and Autrey Fulse. Amazing are they not?

Here is but some of the amazing avatars you get through Haunted Wood creatures! You can also get Haunted Wood themed avatars through games and such or even visiting The Haunted Woods themsleves!
Games
Here again are but some of the games that you get to play from and distributed by TNT and The Haunted Woods! Yay! Games like Sophie's Stew and Bruno's Backwoods Breakaway, and Edna's Shadow are one of the newest and latest games for the Haunted Woods! Try them out! They are lots of fun! Go to the Games Room Section in order to find them.. And if you can't, there is a Search bar so you'll be able ti find the game. Now the examples are:
The Questers
Now here are the questers! The questers are powerful Neopians that offer you a quest and if you succeed, they will give you awesome stuff like items, neopoints, and even level ups for your pets! But for now, we are going to talk about 3 main ones in The Haunted Woods.. And they are The Esophagor, The Brain Tree, and Edna! Yay!
For right now, we're going to talk about the fourth most powerful female in Neopets, Edna! This lady hales from the Haunted Woods, and lives in The Witch's Tower. Go to her, she will ask you for a quest and if you succeed, she will give you a bit of neopoints and an item.. sometimes her avatar! Now if you fail, you get kicked out! Next, The Esophagor is a creature that lives on the ground, and craves for food! He will ask you for any item/s. If you succeed, he will give you 
wonderful items! It is completely random so you can get anything! Even an answer to the Brain Tree's quest! If you fail, he'll scare you off until he forgives you. He has no avatar but he offers you a challenge at the Battledome! Be strong Neopian! Next and finally, The Brain Tree! This tree is well a tree made up of a giant brain! He is said to be the smartest Neopian and plant in all of Neopets! Try beating him at Neo Trivia. LOL. Anywho, This creature will ask well offer you a quest 
and if you succeed, you get items! Yay! But be warned, his quests are of knowledge and requires you to find out the knowledge. You can never find the answer to his questions, only from the Esophagor or probably another Neopian, but i highly doubt it. If you fail, he will kick you out and you'll have to wait a certain time to do another of his quests. But fear not, all these Haunted Wood's Questers give around 2 hours most of the time! So you need not to worry about not having enough time! Most questers give you aroun 15 minutes or so *cough* *cough* Illusen and Jhudora *cough* *cough*... They know their quests are hard so they give you all that time so you can get them what they want. LOL
Paint Brushes
One thing that might make you go insane for these Haunted Woods inhabitants is the paint brushes! Yes it is true! You can paint your pet Halloween, Mutant, and Ghost! As well as painting your Neopet's petpets! The one thing is that Neopets can only obtain the Mutant color through The Secret Laboratory Zapper or through a Transmogrification Potion! Your petpets have the mutant petpet paint brush And after that, you prets can be painted with the Halloween Paint Brush and the Ghost Paint Brush. Visa-versa with your petpets.
