After playing neopets for a while, we found some newbies wondering arround not knowing what to do, so we created this page trying to answer some of the questions they might have.

Well, when my friend first introduced me to neopets, she show me how to grab some Omelette and how to feed my pet, but I forgot about it and I just could not feed my pet, and he was famished! I spent a lot of nps buying some food, but he was still famished! And I played some games and got more than 3000 np on hand, so I could not feed him at the Soup Kitchen! It took me one week to find out that you need to click on the food at Inventory and choose from the drop down menu to feed the pet!

There are some foods you don't want to feed to your pets, because they will make your pets sick!

Don't worry, first of all, pets don't die! I know it is said to check the Hospital for the name of the item you need. And then you need to go to the Neopian Pharmacy to get the item. The bad news is, you might not be able to find the item you need in the pharmacy, so you will have to check the shop wiz , the Trading Post or even the Auction to find it, and, the worst part, you might not be able to affort it. :(

The answer to that is alway a "NO!" Neopia is a place to have fun including playing games. So play some games and earn your own nps! Here are, however, some easy nps for you to earn:

Click the slorg once a day, play the games three times a day, and now you can watch video and gain nps, 5 times a day, isn't that great?

There are some free games you can try your luck every day, you never know, you might win a paintbrush or a petpet, a codestone, a bottled faerie, a book or some food from one of them.

The visits to the Snowager, the Tomb and Qasalan Expellibox are free too, but play at risk, your pet might lose some hit points, Qasalan Expellibox may even get your pet Reptillioritus! If so, just go visit the healing spring every half hour until she heals them.
Snowager sleeps 6-7 AM, 2-3 PM and 10-11 PM Neopian Standard Time (NST) every day.

What are avatars? 用户头像是什么？

Avatars are little icons that give yourself a little more personality when you are chatting on the Neoboards. They give the people you are talking to an idea of the things you are interested in and your mood. They are the small pictures that appear to the left hand side when you post a message.
用户头像就是在尼奥讨论区信息左上角出现的小图案，也是一个让你在尼奥讨论区交谈时凸现个人风格，代表你的心情和喜好的小标志。

How do I get the special avatars?
我怎么得到这些特别的用户头像？

It all depends on the avatars, some require you to get a high score in a certain game, beat a particular battledome challenger, solve a puzzle etc. Some are also affected by what items you are carrying and the pages you visit regularly. The best thing to do is just explore the site and try your hand at everything, you are bound to find some new avatars on your journey.

有些用户头像是当作游戏奖励送出。比如说你必须在游戏中获得高分、或在竞技场打败挑战者、或在猜谜游戏获胜，才有机会赢取。另外，你经常访问的网页和所拥有的物品也可能让你有机会获得特别的用户头像。我们建议大家常常探索尼奥宠物站，而且什么都尝试，你应该会有所收获的！

I have collected all 9 pieces of the Petpet Laboratory Map, but what do I do now? Can't find the link to it.

There is a sad news to those newbies who just collected all the petpet maps, you need the full set of secret laboratory map to use the petpet labray because it is inside the secret lab.

坏消息，你需要先有一整套神秘实验室地图，然后才可以使用宠物玩伴实验室地图，因为那是在神秘实验室里面的，进不了宠物实验室，就去不了玩伴实验室。

Good luck finding them all, and you will be glad you did. I got 3 sets of them, think about it, a paint brush itself would worth the price or even more!
