Since currently AC V has not started, there are no daily predictions up, but I will give you a sample of how they will work when the AC is up and running.
Krawk Island may have lost support from last year, but I should think they still have enough for a sweep here. Sorry, FL.
Since BV didn't play last year, I can't be too sure on how they will do, but DC just seems to monstrous of a team for them to beat.
No one can really be sure of Moltara's strength or weakness at this point, but from the support I've seen them have, they'll be able to beat out Altador.
What with KL seeming to have lost support from last year and Shenkuu gaining it, it seems the ninjas have this one in the bag.
This is probably the closest match of the day, in my opinion. The SS champs against the SOSD champs. But I believe Tyrannia has more strength overall and will take a close win on this one.
The Haunted Woods seems to have gained support from last year, and KD seems to have stayed about the same, which, in any case, is still good for them I do think the KD will be the over-all winners, but I don't seem them sweeping.
Before I believe that this would have been an extremely close match, but what with Roo Island taking a hard hit last year, I see MI with the advantage here, as long as they play hard.
Since LD seems to have gained a load of support and is a contender for the Cup, Terror Mountain should be easy for them, but I think TM could get away with taking SOSD.
I predict MD to move up this year, but I don,t predict them winning against MQ, but it could be a close game, even with the large amount of support Maraqua has.
Explanation: So, first we have the Lost Desert. Now, I picked them as first, because to me, they are a very strong and SoLiD (I made a pun =D) team throughout the whole season, and I think that stability will be what takes them to the gold. Second, we have Shenkuu, the predicted winners for this year. The reason I have them in second, is because they are a rather unpredictable team, and to take home the gold, they would have to pick and it up and play strong throughout the whole season, since sometimes that one match can be all the difference. Then we have Kreludor, who is similar to Shenkuu. Amazing one day, not so hot the next. I don't quite think they are ready for the Cup just yet, but I do believe they have a great chance at a trophy. And to end off the 1st tier, we have Maraqua. What was before a middle class team has shot up and proved themselves worthy of bigger and better things, and with all the support they seem to have, I have a pretty good feeling they will make it into the top four.
Explanation: To start off the 2nd tier, we have Mystery Island. Now this team has been able to pull off amazing wins in past seasons, but I believe the only thing holding them back, is that these amazing wins don't happen all the time. If MI could pick it up and preform great every game, I definitely think they could be in the top tier, but they're not there quite yet. Next we have my beloved Krawk Island. ^^ Since we won last year, I do have a feeling that we shall lose some support, but I do think that we won't drop quite as low as other teams, and remain in upper second tier. Seventh, we have Darigan. This team started out fairly mediocre, but picked it up about halfway through the season and shot up the rankings, only to seem to lose steam towards the end. I predict something similar this year. To round off 2nd tier, we have Tyrannia, the Slushie Slinger and side game champions. While it is true that side games cannot win you the cup, they can up you in the rankings. But, for now I think there are too many stronger teams for Tyrannia to move up just yet.
Explanation: To begin, we have Roo Island, the champs of AC III. They took the hardest fall out of all the champions, and I don't think they're recovered from it yet. Up next, is the Haunted Woods. The first champions of the AC, who don't seem to have quite recovered from the curse yet. But they seem to have a good amount of support, so I believe they will stay about the same as last year. Third in third tier (lol), Meridell. I believe Meridell will stay about the same as last year, as I haven't seen them gain a larger amount of support from last year. Lastly, we have Moltara, the wildcard. Since I cannot accurately predict this team, I went with a guess. I placed them in 12, right around the lower middle, since I predict them to be a middle class team, but what with most players being already loyal to a team and not ready to change, I believe that they will be a little lower than middle.
Explanation: Not quite last and definitely not least, we have the 4th tier. For TM, I predict 13th place. Who knows? The could become the new Virtupets and dominate SOSD. Or they could just plain get better all around, and move up. Or, they could stay basically the same as last year. TM is a good team, and could be an even better team if they had more support. Now onto Virtupets. Shootout Showdown champs, a team that surprised everyone last year. But they're going to need to try and focus some energy into other games to move up in the rankings. Next is Brightvale, the team that sat out last year, so it makes it a bit hard to place. But I believe that they will improve from the last time they played, since they seem to have gained quite a bit of support. In 16th, we have Kiko Lake. A scrappy team that made some upsets in the last cup, but seems to have lost support this time around, so I predict them to fall.
Explanation: And finally, the last two. Altador comes in 17th, a lovely team will great spirits, but needs more support to move up. And lastly, Faerieland. A great team that handles losses with flying colors (yay for puns!), but needs more time to find their footing and move up.
