Gasping raucously, the little creature sprawled himself down on the long grass which had previously been serving as his hiding place. He'd lost the fight.

As if by clockwork, a petite mare scampered joyously, and immediately, over to where his loud raspings were coming from.

Although one would have little idea what was going through the petpet's mind, they could guess it was along the lines of Oh no,.

Her scrawny legs were lifted high at each pace to give the mare a false sense of height and security. A smeared assortment of trees across the lands dappled the light that came to illuminate her features. Dark speckles adorned her dirty white coat, drawing closer at her rump, cheek, and before they condensed into four long, black socks. Her rather simple appearance was enhanced with an almost impossibly big and honest smile.

Muffin! she piped. I keep losing you! Although I do enjoy a good game of hide and seek you know you can't always be the one to hide!.

The petpet stood motionless, overcome by a mixture of contempt and hopelessness.

Reaching down, the little mare gently nuzzled the Urchull, being careful to avoid poking him with her long, silver horn. Every ounce of her being seemed to radiate love for the world around her, although none of it indicated intelligence or worldliness.

... No, really.
Although they may be nothing alike, the pair behave like two peas in a pod. Albeit is a rather confused pod. Together they have unnerved foxes, raced across glorious grasslands and even run into the odd ghostbeastie. If their friendship continues to blossom it's assured that these two will be best friends for life.

Filuah's dry sense of humour and cynical nature may conflict with Nellai's own love of, well, everything, but the two charm each other more than they'd like to let on.

Sahvij may be monstrous, but Nellai will never give up her vain attempt to 'cure' him of his beastly, carnivorous ways. Naive as she is, she does not accept his ways as those nature intended for him, and it is probably the only debate the little mare has had about the 'goodness' of an aspect of the world.

Nok is barely comprehensible to those with superior intellects - and therefore it comes as no suprise to see that Nellai can merely smile and nod at the many bizarre tangents of thought that her friend exposes her to. Regardless, Nellai is an amiable creature with a pure heart, and Nok (being not only able to read and transmit thoughts, but emotions) knows this well enough to hold her in the highest esteem.

Sciros has captured this tiny mare's heart. His gentle patience and charming sense of humour have lead to Nellai becoming a common sidekick of his on his many adventures. He respects her sweet nature enough to never 'dumb down' his thoughts for her, instead he explains everything to her as if she was an intellectual equal - and Nellai could never be more grateful!

Everyone makes mistakes, though rarely are they as malevolent and unforgiveable as Lastrond's. A voodooist and power-hungry, his desire to please his evil 'superiors' turned disasterous when he reached a terrifying peak of success with victims the higher ones wanted 'dealt with'. Now plagued by guilt and remorse, he lives in constant fear of Karma acting out - and can not silence the voices of victims in his head.

She knows what she wants, and will go to any means necessary to ensure that she gets it... Ruthless and determined, Laneicse has a steady hand in power over the neglected slums she lives in. Unfortunately for those around her she also harbours a keen will to fulfil her dream of being a 'beauty queen'.

Fiori was born with the power to heal, though to do this she needs to pull 'life' from the surrounding environment. Confused and disturbed by the outcomes of her bad decisions related to this power in the past, and never really knows how to behave in social situations. As a result of this she has become twisted and disoriented - somewhat 'bipolar'. One can only hope that new friends can help guide her onto a brighter path.

Muffin the Urchull is one of Nellaii's most beloved creatures in the whole entire world. Um, unfortunately she's not really one of his. He spends most of his time trying to think up ingenius ways to escape or hide, going to such lengths as hiding behind a beehive and burying himself in quicksand. Nellaii never really picks up on any of his colder sentiments, but she's always there to fish him out of trouble.
