The Cove of Untold Legends
A young peophin looks up at you from the calm river below. A welcoming smile spreads across her face as she inches closer. Unsure of her presence, you step back. She stops, and stares at you, confused.
There is no reason for you to fear me..."
She slowly sinks back into the water keeping a close eye on you, almost like she was beckoning you. The water was so clear, so inviting, you decide to follow. As soon as you touch the water, the peophin speeds away.
Wait! Wait!"
You can no longer see the peophin. The only thing visible is the trail of bubbles left behind. You are swimming deeper, the water is colder, and you can barely see anymore. Furthermore, you are running out of air. You try to swim to the top, but it is too far. Your vision blurs and you start to sink...
You wake up to find yourself in a cove, barely any light contained inside. There is not much to see...you are on a slab of rock that takes up one half of the cove, the other half is water. The entrance to the cove is under the water, and as you watch the stream flow in, the young peophin follows. Noticing that you are awake, she swims over. You get a much better view of her, a radiant pink peophin, with a flowing violet mane. Many of her characteristics match any other peophin, except for the distinctive gem on her forehead. Most have a diamond ruby, but hers was a triangular shaped emerald in between the eyes. Examining her further, you notice a beautiful gold necklace hung around her neck.
*Interrupting your examination* "Are you ok" the young peophin asks.
I think so, but if it wasn's for you, I wouldn't be in this mess! Where are we...you better tell me!"
My goodness, I didn't know you were so um...rude."
Rude! Rude!"
Yes, rude. I saved your life. You looked like a great swimmer, so I swam off. You are in my cove. I live here, with my owner, pixie_dust829. I'm sorry if I frightened you, I just never get any visitors. I'm very lonely. My brother and sister both fly so they can never come down here, and Jenny is usually very busy on land. I'm surprised you actually came out this far. We're a couple of miles off the tip of Mystery Island."
I didn't know I walked that far off, gosh. I was only looking for my pet. I let it run off and play for a few hours, and I didn't know where it went. I just knew it was on Mystery Island."
Well, we're not on Mystery Island anymore. The river you followed me in, leads out to the ocean. That's where we are now. It will take a while to get back, and we'll try to stay close to the surface next time. But it's almost dark, why don't you stay the night?"
Ok, I guess. My neopet should be fine. It's friend should take it in for the night. I'll stay..."
Great! I'm sure you are wanting to know a little bit about me. We have all night. Would you like to hear?"

My Story
I barely remember anything about my past. I was separated from my family a while ago. We lived in this cove, and I was sure they would come back. You see, when I was still a child, a storm hit off the edge of Mystery Island. Father said it was a hurricane. When something called the eye hovered over our home, he said it was safe to come out for a few minutes, and he went off to gather food. When he didn't come back, Mother went out to look for him. She told me that she would come back when she found him. That was the last time I saw either of my parents....
It had been a few days since the hurricane had hit. I hadn't eaten, and I was starving. I was still young, and was a horrible swimmer. But determined to find somebody to help me, I ventured out of the cove. I could not even see Mystery Island, and I was a little frightened. I just sat there for hours, not knowing where to go. Eventually, I saw the shadow of a shoyru reflect across the water. It swooped down to help me.
Do you need help?"
I was so afraid, I didn't speak a word. I guess it took my silent response as a yes, because it picked me up, and flew me over to a small hut, and dropped me at the door. A teenaged girl ran out, and was astonished to find me sitting on her doorstep.
Awww. Are you lost?"
I felt so comfortable around her, that I managed to tell her what had happened. Feeling sorry for me, she adopted and named me Nehalennia829. She told me that Nehalennia was the goddess and protector of the ocean. The name made me feel very important. Ever since then, I have lived with my owner, Jenny, and my sibblings Tnkrbll and Pixel."

This is my loving owner, Jenny. She rescued me, and taught me how to swim properly. I feel so spoiled, because I even have this little kiddy pool in her house so I can spend time with the rest of my family!

Sadly, when Cinna was very young, her recent owner cut off her wings and applied potion so they would not be able to grow back. We seem more alike than our sibblings, because most of them can fly. Instead, we swim together, and play next to the waterfalls. Being unique can lead to good things sometimes..."
