I can't even remember now how long it's been since The Event. Things used to be normal in the world, or at least they showed some semblance of being ordinary. Cars would bustle down the street, children would play in the parks, and birds would sing from the trees scattered throughout the city. Things are different now.
The future ain't what it used to be.

I get asked this on occassion, so I thought
I'd tell the whole story here.
On March 17th, 2010 I was browsing around looking for stuck pets when I found Julienu the UC Faerie Tuskaninny stuck in the pound.

I posted a board shortly after finding him to see what they trade for, as I had never seen an UC Faerie Tuskaninny up for trade before.
One of the people that responded to my board was the lovely Liz, who immediately fell in love with Julienu. Her and I became great friends over the next few months, as she looked for a pet I would fall in love with. Eventually, I ran into Nai.
After a series of trades done by Liz, she finally sorted out a six (yes six) way trade that resulted in her getting Julienu and me ending up with Naikarah on August 1st, 2010. I am forever grateful for all of her hard work to find the perfect pet for me.

I would say that my life before The Event was pretty plain, nothing too remarkable, but at the same time, I wouldn't call it boring.
I grew up with two siblings, a brother and sister. I wasn't the same as them. Something was always a bit different about me. They never commented on it, but I know they noticed it too. I could always run faster, play harder, and when we would roughhouse, I was always the one that came out of it without a scratch to be seen.
They were always the most important thing in my life, and now it's hard to even recall what they looked like.
It was balmy that day. The weatherman had actually gotten it right for once. I remember there being a warm breeze as I was strolling down the sidewalk when I noticed a scraggly man pacing and mumbling to himself. He seemed oblivious to the rest of the world stirring around him. So much so that I was startled as I passed by him and he outstretched his unkempt hand, pointed at me and screamed, "YOU!"
I jerked away from him, but decided it best to ignore the ramblings of a madman. He started to run after me. "You're the one I've been waiting for." I quickened my pace, but then he yelled something that made me stop dead in my tracks.
Naikarah, today is the last day of the world as we know it!"
I didn't pause because of the end of the world nonsense. How does he know my name?" I thought to myself. I turned to look at the man and the urgent look on his face turned into a twisted smile.
