You stumble in the darkness, this cursed darkness that falls so quickly and overshadows all in the field that lies in the shadow of the Darigan Citadel. You can no longer see Meri Acres Farm, or even the looming familiar shape of Meridell Castle. All you can see is an endless expanse of grass and sky, broken only by a single light... Firelight. Where there was fire, there were people! Hope rises inside of you, and your leaden legs feel lighter as you run toward the welcoming light.

As you near, you see a single person sitting beside the fire. You can barely make out the form of a lupess beneath the shroud of mist that surrounds her. She looks up at you, her piercing teal eyes the only thing visible beneath her veil of dark cloud. A closer look reveals her covering not to be precipitation, but a thin, cloak, arrayed about her in such a way as to look like mist. She stares into your eyes for an agonizing moment, but finally, she speaks.
I do not know why you are here, but you are welcome, stranger. I am Naeonau. (NAH-en-Ow) Please do not look at my face... I don't want you to flee as everyone else has.
I do not have much, for they begrudge me even what is my own, but I will share what I have with you. And if you should wish it, I would tell a story...

STORY

...My life wasn't always this way, hiding and living off only what I can scrounge. I once was fierce and strong and free. But everything was taken away. All of it. I have even been made a monster...

(Redoing Nae's story yet again. You have no idea how hard it is to write for this crazy lupe. T_T Don't expect story anytime soon, unless I get a stroke of inspiration...)
