Naekon was born to a family of three, her mother, father, and herself, in a large lupine pack of warriors living in a small wooded area, infested with blinding light that streamed through the lush canopy above. The lupes were nameless, clinging only to be adressed by numbers. The leader, of course, was One, and was built with powerful muscles, attached to the gift of life with bitterness and leadership running through his veins. He was ruler over the 28 lupes, and with the addition of Naekon, at that time called Twenty Nine. Every year, as more lupes came to be, they were sacrificed to their head ruler, the one they came to know as Man. And every addition had to be sacrificed, they were willed to keep only s, and the strongest of pups. Naekon was neither of those, so the choice had to be made-she had to be ki11ed.

The M e s s a g e______:

One had gathered the pack for an important meeting three years after Naekon's birth, when the sun was slowly sinking beneath the horizion, creating shades and streaks of pinks and oranges across the heavens above, clouded by the leaves. Nae felt an ongoing flow of excitement rush through her feeble, pup body, a stream of air bursting out from her nostrils as she approached the meeting with her parents. Naekon, unlike most of the females, had a soft glow to her pelt, that differed her from all the others. She was remarkably pretty, beauty holding fast to her strands of warm, light green fur. But somehow, a small ball of fear stayed hidden in her mind, but she ignored it, happy that she was allowed to come to the meeting.
Lupes, we have gathered for the sacrifice. Twenty Nine will be ki11ed, then offered to man below the cliff." He announced, cold gray eyes averting to Naekon, an overflow of bitterness seeping into Naekon's mind. At the sound of her name, she propped herself up, then sinking back as her pupils dilated with bursts of fear, backing away from the pack.
N-N-No!" She yelped, running towards the meadow. The lupes caught up with her effortlessly, and held her tightly. Her mother and father watched her painfully, until they could bear no longer. Her father rammed into the lupes with great force, exceeding his speed until he had freed his daughter.
You will NOT harm my daughter." Nae's father said, snarling bitterly and standing his ground. One didn't even flinch, barely moving a muscle and keeping his gaze intertwined with Naekon's father's.
For disobeying, you shall both be ki11ed, under the punishment of Man." One replied, face curling into a dark smile.

The S e p e r a t i o n____:

The lupes surrounded Naekon's father and mother, approaching closer with every heartbeat that pounded in Nae's chest. The pup could only watch hopelessly as her parents were ripped apart by the brutal lupes, could only watch the bl00d stain the grass around them. At last, she took the chance to run away, uncontrollable with emotions of fear and sorrow.

The H a v e n_____:

Moments later, something grasped Naekon, pulling her into a darkened den.
Let me go!" She yelped, but the lupe held her tightly, calming her fear.
It's alright, dear child, I am the healer, I've come to help." The old lupess said softly. Naekon was calmed now, staying with her.
Take my warning, wait until you're an , and then you may leave. Otherwise de ath will greet you instead." The healer whispered.

Her D e a t h_____:

We must find Twenty Nine." A lupe growled. It had been a year since Naekon met the healer.
Ah, she couldn't have traveled far. Let's move. Her de ath must be tonight. We have waited long enough." One replied smoothly, face glowing with cruelty as smirked slightly. The rest nodded solemnly, and wheeled away into the forest, drawing closer and closer to Naekon with each swift stride.
I must go, Healer, I can't hide forever." Naekon cried, running from the den. The Healer didn't budge, only watched her leave.
Naekon, blinded with fear, headed towards the cliff, sounds of the pack growing louder with each thud of her heart.
Oh no..." She gasped, as she stopped at the edge of the cliff. Nae whirled around, facing One and the pack. One raised his jaws, hurling towards her throat...and then it was utter darkness.

The C h o i c e______:

Ah, dear child, for you there is hope, even though you haven't taken my warning." A distant voice said, as Naekon barely opened her eyelids, pain running through her body. She gathered the rest of her energy, lifting her head to the skies, and noticied that the cliff was far above her injured body.
...where...I?" Nae rasped, coughing up bl00d as she stared into the face of an old lupess.
At the edge of the waterfall, dear child. I have come to give you a choice, for you are close to dy ing. Only a few minutes to spare." The old lupess said softly. Naekon's mind raced, flashing back to the part where One had struck her. I'm alive...barely...She thought, as a cold feeling streamed through her veins, darkness slowly pouring in around her.
You are close to dy ing, so I came to give you a choice, deary. Would you rather live, or keep your beauty?" The old lupess whispered, a small smile growing on her withered face. Naekon didn't even stop to think, her pain was too great to even bear it any longer. With her remaining strength, she let out a soft word, "Live.", and it became darkness once again.

The M a s k_____:

At last she opened her eyelids, warm light streaming into her pupils as she arose.
I'm...alive!" She said, leaping about in joy. Then she stopped, another cold feeling surpassing her veins. Something...something felt different. Naekon's brow furrowed at the feeling, quickly bounding off to the lake, peering into her image. Naekon stepped back, letting out a gasp.
NO!" She cried, seeing a matted fur lupe in the water, knowing at once that the image was her. Naekon's fur had darkened to an ugly shade of spring green, dark green lines on her paws and tail, a bandaged left leg, and her front legs were clothed in yellow-ish sleeves. But what had startled her was her face...her beauty was gone, and replaced with a hideous mask. It was truly frightening, stepping back from the lake and shuddering.
That...can't be me." Nae sputtered, swallowing her fear and padding slowly up to the lake. But the image hadn't disappeared, she still looked the same. Her beauty was truly gone

The S a c r i f i c e____:

Naekon looked desperately around for the old lupess until night, and then she appeared.
What have you done?!?!" She cried, sobbing with each tone change of voice. The old lupess didn't even move, only stared back into Naekon's creepy mask.
You wanted life, I gave you life. The mask will protect your identity, deary. Every choice comes with a price." She replied softly. Naekon burst out into an angry fit, screaming violently, and thrashing herself against the trees, struggling to pull the mask off. But it would not budge, only continued to remain on her face.
It's a punishment, dear child. You failed to obey my warning. I could've left you to die, but instead I gave you life, along with a punishment. It will never come off." The healer said, watching Nae struggle to remove the mask. And with that, she disappeared, without a trace left behind.

Her J o u r n e y____:

For fifteen years, Naekon coped with the mask, with her missing beauty, and soon bitterness grew in her heart due to the fact of her old pack, the pack that had ki11ed her beloved parents. She became merciless, cold, cruel...and coy as Naekon grew. Alas, Nae had no name, so she decided to call herself, Naekon, because of her travels and hardship. Her cleverness, swift body, and dark personality, she became a samaurai, warrior at heart, avenging the loss of her parents and beauty, until she was a witty 19-year old. Then a decision stuck to her, a cruel decision that only one would know as 'revenge'.

Her V e n g e n c e____:

Naekon swiftly maunvered her body through the trees, stealth embedded well beneath her paws that crashed against the earth softly. At last, she had neared the pack grounds, where One still ruled the twenty six lupes. Her nares were filled with the stench of cruelty, and the powerful odor of leadership and hardships. A sudden pain of grief tugged at her heart, softening her gaze, but quickly regaining the smirk displaying on her mask as always.
One, prepare for your last fight." She growled, smirking in the dim light as she swiftly bounded towards One, muscles tensing with each stride. One turned around at once, facing Naekon's shaded mask.
Twenty Nine? Hmm...I see you survived the attack fifteen years ago. Why have you return?" One seethed, arching his back and flexing his jaws. Naekon only returned him with a quick smirk.
Revenge." Was all Naekon said. And with a quick stroke of her jaws, One lay de ad at her feet. The rest of the pack backed away from Naekon, melting into the forest like shadows. Revenge was complete.

After that, lupes rarely saw any trace of Naekon, but if they so happened to catch her along her journey, they would be de ad in a matter of seconds. One, in his last reign, had made one final enemy, an enemy that was even great then himself. Naekon.
