ACT ONE: ATTIE'S REIGN (OCTOBER 24, 2006 TO DECEMBER 2006)
Scene One: The Start of an Inauguration of the Foundation of a Beginning Never Leading to the End of a Finale
Attie (hungrykaddie) created neo.anxious on Tuesday, October 24, 2006. The original application page was located on Pheixar's petpage. Much of the content remains on the current application page, including the 5-question application. From the 4th question, "What do you think of rainbow dung?" starts our long and slightly-obsessive attitude towards rainbow dung! Attie was a master at all coding and designed an awesome offsite website for the guild (though for those who remember, it was the slowest thing next to Sm finishing his tasks on time! ^^).
Scene two: You say hello, but I say goodbye
Knowing that her boyfriend (who was serving in the forces at the time) and college would get in the way of her guild-leading time, Attie promptly held elections for a second council member, which ended sometime in November. Becca (xprincessbeccax) was elected to the 2nd council position in November of 2006. Lori joined the activities committee and soon afterwards achieved the 3rd council position. Soon, Attie had to go on hiatus. Becca became leader of the guild!
ACT TWO: BECCA'S REIGN (DECEMBER 2006 TO JANUARY 28, 2007)
Scene One: The Comings and the Goings
From the start of neo.anxious' creation, Becca was a great help. She assisted in developing committees and the Meet and Greet Page. Sadly, Becca had to go on hiatus on January 28, 2007 because she was overwhelmed as an 8th grader. She became leader while she was on hiatus and left the leadership to Lori in February.
ACT THREE: LORI'S REIGN (FEBRUARY 2007 TO JANUARY 1, 2008)
Scene One: The rise of the war
At the time of election, Lori was in charge of the entire guild website. Knowing she would need help, she recruited Christine (m3rcuri), who seemed to be amazing at everything!! She was the coding and graphics master Lori had been waiting for all her life. She also happened to be British, which Lori, Trina, and Buck constantly made fun of (since Britain doesn't have real grass or Froot-Loops). The website soon became extremely extensive, with over 100 pages and an activities committee that updated everything daily. After chatting on the boards late one night, someone joked about having a guild war. Excited, Lori immediately put the idea into action, and thus the Pirates vs. Maraqua rivalry began!
Scene Two: Down to business
Wanting to expand the guild's resources, Lori made sure the activities committee designed a banner for every single page of the website- leading to literally over 150 of these custom banners. The number of activities was increased, a guild newspaper was first released in May of 2007, avvie simon/subliminal advertising boards were created, and neo.anxious received a label as one of the best neo-related guilds. 50% of the GC had been in, or had a friend in, or was currently in, neo.anxious. We even reached over 300 members at one point and averaged 2000 posts on the message board, per day. You'd have to go back at least 40 pages to see messages from yesterday!
Scene Three: The fall of the war
Looking at the success of the first guild war, Lori and the activities committee designed an even more organized and diverse second guild war between the CFSA and SMFC. However, Lori's focus on the website rather than the members made the second war less successful than the first. With many of her good friends leaving neopets and the guild board becoming inactive, Lori became discouraged and constantly escaped to the Guild Chat public boards, always advertising. With her junior year coming up and no active interest in neopets any longer, Lori looked for a more capable, motivated leader. At the time, she had hoped Mia (jurassic_park_13) would take over, but due to some drama over 1 million NP being stolen from the guild account, Mia left neopets. Luckily, a new member joined the guild and Lori met Alyssa, who would become the next guild leader.
ACT FOUR: ALYSSA'S REIGN (JANUARY 1, 2008 TO MID-DECEMBER 2008)
Scene One: Opening credits
Being fairly new to the guild and unsure of her leading capabilities, Alyssa Kaye was hesitant to apply for the leader position and even after eventually applying, she came to a point where she wanted to drop out of the elections and quit neopets. However, the morning she was going to tell Lori, Lori interrupted and said she had a dream, that her four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character. JOKE! Lori actually had a dream that Alyssa had dropped out of the elections. Very scared and extremely creeped, Alyssa held back what she was going to say. In December, the polls were closed and on January 1, 2008, a public ceremony was held on the guild neoboards where Lori gave a classic 8-page speech and handed leadership over to Alyssa.
Scene Two: Learn to love
The following few months consisted of Alyssa learning the ropes of n.a leadership from Lori--becoming familiar with the workings of the webbie, leading the activities committee, and handling dramatic situations took up a lot of this time. One night, while talking about how slow the current webbie was, Alyssa jokingly suggested switching to a new webbie. But after some research, she realized that it wasn't a bad idea. She and Lori split the price for the domain and spent the next few weeks with Christine's amazing coding skills switching everything from the first website to the second. The new webbie was a huge success for awhile--eventually having a chat box, a podcast, and best of all, it was fast!
Scene Three: Even the best fall down sometimes
One day, Alyssa came home from school to find herself and Christine suspended, and Lori frozen. Knowing it was probably because of the new webbie being off-site and all, neo.anxious took measures to be more discreet of its existence. TNT started to pay closer attention to us and then hit us with our first big blow--neo.anxious was deleted. After getting over the shock, we rebuilt the guild and had most of our members rejoined and almost 1000 messages on the guild board by the end of the day. More measures were taken to hide the webbie. Then a second deletion came. Knowing the webbie was a huge part of n.a having 100+ pages and tons of member-written articles, it was decided that n.a would try to keep the webbie. However, no matter the measures taken to hide its existence from TNT while still being able to show it to new members, TNT found it. More deletions came and resulted in the eventual freezing of the guild account, Lori quitting neopets, and Alyssa changing her name to Kaye. Despite these deletions, the members were so supportive and loyal, keeping active knowing that they could get through anything. After a meeting with a trusted few members, it was decided that even though many features and content would be lost in doing so, n.a would start using petpages for our webbie. The next month or so consisted of our best graphic makers hard at work making layouts and coding while others worked at editing the content of webbie itself. Finally, everything was finished and we felt safe. The deletions stopped. Neo.anxious lived in peace.
Scene Four: So much for my happy ending
In September of 2008, real life started to get crazy for Alyssa and she started to come on less often. This resulted in a lack of updates for many of the guild pages and led to her decision to hand leadership to someone else. She started elections in November but drama unfolded between the leader candidates and Alyssa started to get extremely tired of it. After a point, Alyssa left everything to her co-leader, Steph, to finish elections and Alyssa quit neopets.
ACT FIVE: STORMEHH'S REIGN (MID-DECEMBER 2008 TO AUGUST 28, 2009)

INTERMISSION: REVAMP COMMITTEE! (AUGUST 28, 2009 TO SEPTEMBER 7, 2009)
The guild had become more inactive than usual and Lori was bored, so she asked Stormehh for permission to be leader until school started on September 7th. Stormehh put up a poll about it, and on August 28th Lori found herself in charge of a guild revamping. She put together a committee of n.a'ers that she had kept in close contact with: Alyssa, Zach, Misty, Sm, and Sanny. There was a gigantic "checklist for success" on the guild homepage, so the members could see our progress. A member sweep deleted over 30 inactive members and the guild message board became more lively again. Upon advertising, Becca happened to see one of our boards, and promptly rejoined neo.anxious! Leader elections were held from September 5-7, with Trenn (megaeragonlover), Luna (coolkat00001), and Becca (xprincessbeccax) becoming the three new leaders of neo.anxious. Member input was taken on every aspect of the revamp and the committee worked long days and nights to try to finish everything by the 7th.

War II
As you know, the CFSA (Communistic Faeries and Sloth Alliance) has done a pretty decent job of running the guild when suddenly, a rival decided to challenge the greatness of the CFSA! But nobody can beat Dr. Sloth and Fyora right? Right ... ? To make things worse, just in our time of need, Christine decided to team up with SM (I hear there was an agreement about a hot drink and sweet bread) so now Lori and Molly are left to stand up for what is right.
Along with the SMFC (SM Fan Club) going against the CFSA, there are mini rivals that have broken out amongst the teams. Under the CFSA is

Group Rainbow Dung.
Under the SMFC is
Group Tea & Cakes
Group Electric Feces.
Each group will gather points through various activities to try to beat their rival group. Simultaneously, the points will be added up to see whether the CFSA or SMFC has the power to rule the guild. The fate of the guild depends on you!

Let's get down to business!
The war will end on August 31st, and results are given on September 1st. To prevent this war from being overtaken by money, certain activities count for a certain percentage of the overall score (which is revealed on September 1st!). Basically, you will have no idea what the overall score of your team is besides the WP (War Point) count. The war is broken up into weeks that specialize in an activity. Below is a calendar of upcoming events.
Week of July 8-14: Computer-Generated Graphic Design: Each group will submit one banner that is designed on the computer. It can be a picture, glitter, or animation. The banner should represent your group name, and nothing else. (5% of overall score)
Week of July 15-21: Game Challenge: A random game will be announced at the beginning of the week. The goal is to score as high as you possible can. At the end of the week, all the group members' high scores will be added together. (5% of overall score) This week's game challenge is: Maths Nightmare!
Week of July 22-27: Song Writing Competition: A random song will be announced at the beginning of the week. Each group is to change the lyrics to fit with their group. A good idea is to listen to the song and get a feel for it. Songs will be rated on originality, resemblance to the original song (basically, I can tell what the real song was), how well your lyrics fit in to the music (for example, making sure the syllable count is similar to that of the original, and rhyme), humor, and relativity to the war. (5% of overall score) The song of the week is: "Lip Gloss" by Lil Mama
Day of July 29: Avatar Simon: Each group will pick two members to represent their group in a friendly game of avatar simon. The two members picked must be online at the time of the game. In the event that one or both members are absent, no replacements can be made. The game will continue on anyway. Lori will have a set list of 10 avatars ranging from medium to hard. The game will be hosted on the guild board, and while the game is going on, nobody else is allowed to post. (5% of overall score)
Week of July 29-August 4: Storytelling contest: Each group will be given a neopets character to write a story/biography about. The character is totally unrelated to the war. Please assume all facts in the Neopedia about your character is true.(5% of overall score)

Week of August 5-11: Hand-drawn Graphic Design: Each group will submit one banner that is designed by hand and scanned into the computer or photographed and transferred to the computer. It can be in black and white or color. The banner should represent a team character, and nothing else. (5% of overall score)
Day of August 11: Avatar ABC: Each group will pick two members to represent their group in a friendly game of avatar ABC. The two members picked must be online at the time of the game. In the event that one or both members are absent, no replacements can be made. The game will continue on anyway. Lori will have a set list of 10 letters. She will pick a letter, and everybody must pick an avatar starting with that letter (no repeats or defaults). The game will be hosted on the guild board, and while the game is going on, nobody else is allowed to post. (5% of overall score)
Week of August 12-18: Battledome: Three members from each group will be picked to battle three members from the opposing group of roughly equal stats. This means that training like crazy won't make much of a difference. :P The five members from each team will be picked strictly on their stats since we need similar stats. Volunteers will not be taken, so don't try. There IS one catch though: the three members that are chosen will be notified the day before their battle. If for any reason they do not show up to fight, the opposing group automatically wins the battle! (5% of overall score)

Week of August 19-25: Song Writing Competition: A random song will be announced at the beginning of the week. Each group is to change the lyrics to fit with their group. A good idea is to listen to the song and get a feel for it. Songs will be rated on originality, resemblance to the original song (basically, I can tell what the real song was), how well your lyrics fit in to the music (for example, making sure the syllable count is similar to that of the original, and rhyme), humor, and relativity to the war. (5% of overall score)The song of the week is: Keep Holding On by Avril Lavigne.
Day of August 27: Friendship Day: Each group will let down its guard and have a mix-it-up day. They will dress in the opposing team's banners, avatars, etc. Although it doesn't affect the outcome of the war, it is nice to remind your friends on the opposing team that you are indeed, alright. Besides, the only way to truly learn about someone else is to walk two moons in their moccasins, right SM?
Week of August 26-31: The Amazing Race: A picture of an item will be given to you. Your group is to buy that item, and there will be a clue on the webbie pertaining to the item you bought, that will lead you to the next item. There are four items in all. Your goal is to collect all four items and send them to luverbunnyz as quickly as you can. The order in which the groups sent in their items will not be announced until September 1st (actually, nothing will be announced!). (10% of overall score)

Item 2: After buying Item 1, look for the 4th word in the description. Item 2 has that word in it and is a neopet body part.
Item 3: The last word in the description of Item 2 is the first word in Item 3. It's something you eat.
Item 4: Take the last word of Item 3 and put it in the past tense. Send anything with that word in it.

We have fought hard thus far, but the CFSA has dominated. It's time for us to strike back. Spend your neopoints on war points, participate in all of these last few activities in our war, and remember to never give up. We can win this, but we have to work as a team. If nothing else, we've learned to respect our opponents abilities, but we can't afford to lose; too much is at stake. Victory or Death! Well ... actually that makes no sense since our lives aren't at stake, but lets all rally together in these last few weeks and try to pull of an upset. Good luck my friends.
There are three forms of economic systems: Capitalism, Socialism, and Communism.
In communism, the state plans and controls the economy and a single, often authoritarian party holds power, claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people.
Socialism is a system of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.
Capitalism is an economic system in which the means of production and distribution are privately or corporately owned and development is proportionate to the accumulation and reinvestment of profits gained in a free market.
The reason capitalism prevails over communism is that Capitalism is an economic system characterized by freedom of the market. Capitalism has many pros to go along with its economy. The government will change gradually, but is able to adjust to it with ease. Communism can be defined as an economic and political system in which facts of production are collectively owned and directed by the state. As you will easily see capitalism and communism are viewed as two opposing political and economic structures. In a capitalism economy each person has individual freedom with lack of government interference. But the downside to this is that not everybody will have a job, and the government will not help him or her find one. It all depends on what you do, whom you work for, and how long you decide to work. Unlike in communist economies capitalists have the ability to leave jobs and move on to others that allow us to "climb the professional ladder". Another major benefit of capitalism is private property, the concept that people have the right and privilege to control their possessions as they wish. In a capitalism economy the role of government reflects the desire and goals of its citizens. Government also provides goods and services for its entire people. Communism has had many drastic changes at a time, but has been able to overcome them. One of the advantages of communism is that everybody has a job, but the downside is that no matter how much you work or whom you work for, you will always be getting paid the same amount of money as everyone else. . In a capitalist economy, you must work to make money. The more you work, the more you will get paid and now you will be able to buy what you need, and what you want. In a communist economy, you can work as much as or as little you want, but you will still get paid the same amount of money as everyone else. Why would you want to work so hard if you were going to make the same amount of money? Another weak spot about communism is the fact that consumers will not always get what they desire because the government decides on what you will buying. In a communistic society, the government makes all decisions for you. In conclusion, capitalism is a much better economic system because you do not have the lack of restrictions compared to if you were a communist. There are so many more advantages for being a capitalist than being a communist including better working conditions and more freedom, and who doesn't want more freedom?
The above paragraph compares how communism and capitalism apply to a country's economy, however this is different in the guild. Still, in reality, our guild is based on capitalism. If we were communists everyone would have the same rank, and a person who did 100 activities would receive the same amount of pp as someone who merely did one. Granted there are communist qualities of our guild too, but capitalism is a larger part of the guild. Ironically, nearly everyone in the CFSA actually lives in a capitalist country, our guild has capitalist beliefs, why would anyone be against capitalism in the first place? Lori can defend communism all she wants, but I believe everyone knows which economic system is better for us. Furthermore, neopets is based completely on capitalism, so if you really prefer communism you might as well quit neo altogether . . . or you can go play commiepets, where everyone has the same amount of commiepoints, commiepets, and everyone has the same amount of stamps, avatars, items. etc. Not to mention the all powerful TCT that owns every shop, and controls the economy. In other words, communism doesn't work, and it is blatantly obvious capitalism is a better system. Does that mean the SMFC will beat the CFSA? No, both teams are talented, and either one could win. However, at the very least I hope we can convince them to change their name to the capitalist faeries and sloth alliance.
Oh, and for anyone who thinks the Chinese don't have a capitalist economy, here is a quote:
China shows that when it comes to economics, the dividing line among the world's nations is no longer between communism and capitalism. Capitalism has won hands down. The real dividing line is no longer economic. It's political. And that divide is between democracy and authoritarianism. China is a capitalist economy with an authoritarian government.
Our guild has many similarities with China, and Lori also compares our guild to China. This is something we both agree on, and thus we have had and always will have a capitalist guild.

Communism is defined as an economic system in which all the means of production are government controlled. Everyone gets the same amount of respect, fun, and rewards! In Neo.Anxious we treasure literacy, good times, laughing, and neopets. Communism is great because we have a perfect environment where most of the people in this guild share those values. The few people that don't, believe in a capitalist economy in which the money you invest is totally random. Because people in a capitalist economy have no sense of morality whatsoever, often millionaires will wind up in the streets after thefts. Although the all-powerful Dr. Sloth and Fyora are doing their best to reinstate this communistic peace into Neo.Anxious, Kass has some followers who need to be shown the brighter side of life, let's just say. Our mission? To whack that kass!
Why is communism so much better than capitalism? For one thing, communism doesn't seem to have worked nicely in the past due to corrupt leaders. This time though, Lori is the leader and could you really suspect someone who's username is luverbunnyz? One of the greatest (and richest) countries as of right now is China, lo and behold, they use communism! One of the richest guilds in Neopets in neo.anxious, with near 2 million at all times in the guild till. Can you honestly say that communism has failed us thus far? And to show you that communism DOES reside in the guild, no matter how many activities you do, it will not affect your rank. It won't affect your friendships either! To us, every new member has a clean slate regardless of their past, and everyone is treated with respect. If we reverted to capitalism, all the rich people would get suck-ups, and that would be no fun, now would it? Quite contrary to popular (yet ignorant) belief, everyone is provided with the same PP: 0. The PP that you get added on is not a direct result of doing activities, but a little tip we give you as an incentive to keep you doing them! Thus, you should not believe everything SM says.
This guild has been running for over 8 months on the basis of communism, why stop it now? We are on the road to success with wonderful members, amusing activities, and the one thing no guild has - some common sense about which economic system shall prevail in the end. Hopefully one day, the country that we happen to live in will realize that it can make further advancements. Although we think ourselves to be the best, and have the best government, it is quite on the contrary. We are so in debt that if certain countries recall shares that they bought, we would be bankrupt. We are the only big country left that has the lowest gas mileage per gallon than any other country, thus releasing more greenhouse gases than other countries combined. We did not create our own language, we took Albert Einstein from Germany to bomb up Japan, and we've had some of the most corrupt, slow decision making governments in history. Why is this? Why is everyone else so ahead of us? It is when there is a virtuous, smart leader that is selfless, then advancements can be made. We have the ability to become the greatest nation in the world, but we are stuck with this capitalism theory. We claim that all men are equal, yet they shall never be unless communism prevails. With capitalism comes sweat and tears, poor and homeless, sick and dying. Prejudice and racism, arguments and fights. For us to overcome this struggle, we must first make the guild realize what is best for everyone, communism to the world's dying day!

Congratulations on the end of a long, hardy, weary, exhausting ... you get the point.
I probably shouldn't bore you with my talk of this probably being the most intelligent guild war in history: not only were there weekly activities for points so that the system didn't depend solely on money, not only were the point figures figured out tediously yet fairly, not only was this a battle of effort and wits, it was a battle of economic systems! Okay so maybe I sneaked in a little speech, but here are the results from the war. If you believe I have made a calculation error, please let me know.

I just realized that the talking parts are part of the video! The fish stick part was so random, I don't even eat fish! I really don't like being called an ignoramus. Parts of the song had nothing to do with the war, and I'm quite upset that you didn't consult your group on this. The rhyme was good, and almost the whole song had to same number of syllables as the original. 4/5

Rainbow Dung
Kyishi took her first breath of the day and visualized the bash of a lifetime. It was going to be a luau, celebrating the natives love for Rainbow dung. Natives loved how the dung's beautiful colors put a smile on every Islander's face. They had a grand showcase for rainbow dung in the center of Mystery Island. The glass case glistening in the sunlight was breathtaking! Neopets on the beach made a point of facing their beach towels in the direction of the showcase during the sunset, because they wanted to see the special dung one last time.
Kyishi was a limbo master at her school. Her friends always held parties on Friday nights after classes were over; reggae music blasted through the island. First at the parties, Kyishi flexed her lean legs as she focused on the limbo trophy she always won. Then with pride, she became victorious in the limbo queen challenge!
As the bash time soon rolled around, she got on her lucky flip flops and put her hair in a curled ponytail. She rode her moped to the beach, and then sat in the island pavilion to wait for the celebration's beginning. She saw a Jetsam and knew who it was right away. A fellow partier, who she absolutely loved to talk to, Vik the Jetsam. "Hey Vik, what's happening in your neck of the island?" she beamed. "Lots of things Ky, I just finished a match of Yooyuball!" he said. All of a sudden hula dancers came out onto the beach and the famous Hawaiian music began to play. The festival was in full swing!
Let's dance!" Kyishi said to Vik. "Sure." Was that a blush she just saw? They watched several Skeiths surf on the raging waves as they jammed to "Nothing but a Hound Dog". The luau was PERFECT to Kyishi at that moment.
More and more people flooded onto the beach, like a living, breathing wave. There were poogles dancing with skeiths, draiks with acaras, unis with ogrins... Kyishi sighed with contentment. If only every day could be like this - differences put aside, disagreements laid to rest - everyone bought together through the love of the beautiful rainbow dung, which was shining like a beacon through all their hearts.
Kyishi stopped to knock a pebble out of her flip-flops, then turned to the showcase, her face - like everyone elses - always drawn to the sparkling spectrum. Her sharp eyes found glass, and her heart missed a beat. Where once there had been the rainbow dung, there was now just a space where the glass had been shattered!
As her mouth fell open in a moment of bewilderment, a scream descended on the beach, like a blanket insulating all noise. One by one, heads turned towards the damaged glass, and silence was broken. Hysteria reined; those torn between running and being rooted to the spot - only Kyishi kept her head.
She put a hand to her forehead, shielding her eyes from the untamed glare of the sun. How could she see sense in this racket? Just as her patience was close to snapping, two darkly-dressed figures knocked past her, without so much as an apologetic glance in her direction.
Watch it!" she growled irritably. She watched them hurry towards the sea... hurry towards the sea? It was this direction, and the determined, focused way of moving that caught Kyishi's attention. Why would two aishas be dressed in black for a midsummer party like this? And - above all else - though Kyishi, why are they not running around like the rest of the frenetic party-goers?
It was then that Kyishi saw it. For a split second, she saw a flash of colour - scarlet and gold and saphire - and every other colour of the rainbow. With that heart-stopping thought, she threw caution to the wind and ran after them.
Stop! Thieves - stop!" She ran as fast as she could, kicking off the hinderance that was her flip-flops, and as she did so, she sensed someone else running alongside her. Vik?" she cried, looking sideways. Seeing the jetsam leant her a moment of relief, but it was short-lived as she saw the aishas springing onto a jet-ski, one of them glancing behind and catching Kyishi's eye.
Go, Purrow, get a move on!" With that, the motor roared into life, and Kyishi halted at the waves, the days events bizarrely mixed with those of a strange movie. Just as it looked as though the thieves would escape, an eruption of water droplets cascaded over her head, forming a damp layer on her fur.
Vik swam faster than ever before, his streamlined body sleek and elegant, the muscles rippling under his skin. Kyishi screamed his name from the beach, but as soon as the noise escaped her lips, she realised, in amazement, that Vik was catching up with the jet-ski!
Back in the water, the Jetsam knew he had one chance, one chance to reclaim the treasured dung... as he drew level with the ski, he arced underneath it, and in two powerful strokes...
Kyishi screamed again. Vik had thrown himself out of the water, right in front of the ski. They had no choice. The aisha at the front of the ski pulled it round incredibly hard - so much so that the jet-ski flipped up, as if in slow motion. The aisha that had previously caught Kyishi's eye let her hands fly up in the air, releasing an object that soared upwards. Higher and higher it went, watched by hundreds of eyes. Rainbow Dung - treasured, beautiful, priceless... Kyishi ran forwards, the water lapping at her ankles... and caught the dung tenderly in cupped hands.
The whole beach was silent. Kyishi stood holding the dung, motionless. Then, the beach errupted into a tumult of noise. Everyone was cheering, clapping... they ran forwards and pulled Kyishi onto their shoulders, followed later by a dripping Jetsam, whose beaming smile she met with her own, as a jet-ski roared into the distance.
A rose tincture crept up on the sun - a glowing ball that was the only entity that could do justice on the day's proceedings. Under its lustrous rays sat two individuals. The larger of the two stirred. Some day, huh?" said Vik the Jetsam softly. The girl next to him sighed. Some day." she agreed. "You were great." The Jetsam blushed for the second time that day. So were you." They both smiled. The Jetsam lay a fin over the top of the kyrii's hand, and together, they watched the final ray's of light fade into dusk.
I liked the language, especially during the water ski part. It's really descriptive. Christine says, 'I loved the part about people making their beach towels face the rainbow dung!' 4.5/5

A royal sunset of golden light cascaded into Henddrie's room. He turned over looking into its dazzling light. Grumbling he waddled over and closed the blinds. 'Why did I ferget ta close meh blinds?' he growled as he outside to see what the commotion was outside. The neighbors were yelling about something.
Bout time yer got up! Wasting valyoobuhl time as ehways!
Now now Philip. Don't listen to em, Henddrie. He tis a tinsy upset 'bout happenins in Neopia.
TINSY? Dun be tellen meh its TINSY! Its HU-' The neighbor stopped abruptly as his wife threw a handful of porridge on him.
As the neighbors started throwing food at each other Henddrie noticed the paper, now covered partially in cheese. He scanned the first page. Of course Henddrie never had learned how to read so he found it extremely difficult. Frustrated to the point of screaming and by the fact he was covered in porridge from his neighbors' fight which was still raging on he looked at the pictures for help. One black and white picture was shown on the page. It showed an angry sloth being attacked by a strange purple neopet wearing a shirt that said 'I LOVE THE SMFC'. Frowning he laid down the paper. SMFC? What was this strange thing? The CFSA was the communistic government currently ruling all of Neopia from a headquarters called neo.anxious. Their leader, Lori, was always kind and helpful to the people. Since no one ever saw Lori she was always represented as Sloth in newspapers. Curious to see what this new SMFC was and because he was covered now in porridge, which he hated, he decided to leave his house and walk 15 miles to get to town.
Hiking along a dirt trail through dark ominous evergreen trees may have seemed strange to someone normal but Henddrie was not normal so he enjoyed his walk by humming his favorite polka tunes. He had decided to pack a small picnic for which he planned to eat half way down the trail. He was swinging it when suddenly a strange gust of wind blasted in his face, causing him to drop the picnic basket and tumble to the ground. Getting up he saw that his basket had disappeared. 'Darn strudels. Ay mustah made 'um too light.' He fumbled in some of the bushes looking for his basket but never found it. Soon he had wandered off the trail and got terribly lost. The blanket of darkness had covered the forest and the only thing Henddrie could remember seeing was a flash of lightning. 'Drat!' Henddrie cried. He stomped the ground until he heard something. Far off someone else was crying. He slowly walked towards the noise until he came to a clearing where a small lupe and a larger lupe were crying. Instantly Henddrie became very afraid. Lupes ate Chias! But then he saw that both were weeping. Slowly he approached them. He went close enough he could smell the salt of their tears.
'What tis wrong?' he asked cautiously. The two lupes looked over at him and smiled weakly. The larger one spoke first.
We were going on a picnic and then a strange thing in a cloak came and stole our basket.' The smaller lupe let out a howl of sadness. Henddrie frowned. He too had lost a basket. The two lupes had continued crying so Henddrie continued on. Soon he found a pair of Xweetoks also crying in the woods. When he asked they too said that they had lost their food. The whole night Henddrie found more and more lost neopets saying that something had stolen their food.
By morning he had reached the town determined to report this thief. But when he got there he found it deserted. He wandered around the ghost shops and the silent playgrounds. Then finally he found a small baby Grundo hiding in a small home. Henddrie tried to talk to him but the Grundo only said, 'Cake and Tea.Cake and TEA!' Henddrie was very confused. First someone steals all the food in his town, then everyone disappears. Did this have to do with SMFC? Then as if some divine presence had heard him a small sign that he had not seen before appeared. In small neat lettering it said, 'TEA AND CAKE FACTORY 2 MILES!'. Henddrie decided that he was hungry and that tea and cake would be good, completely forgetting about the SMFC and the ghost town. He walked until he found a huge factory the size of his town nestled in the trees. He opened the door and walked into the factory. Lines of sad neopets stood pounding out Cake and squeezing Tea Bags. As he walked Henddrie realized that this must be what the little Grundo was talking about. Rushing to a small door that read, 'SMFC Boss's room,' he put his small ear to it to see what he could find out.
And after they make all the tea and cakes we need we will sell it to them at REALLY expensive prices and it being the only food they have since we stole all the other food, they will need to eat it! Lori won't even see it coming!' Henddrie gasped. Now he knew he had to save his town by destroying the factory. So Henddrie waited until it was teatime and all the neopets were outside taking tea break until he snooped around looking for a big button that said 'DESTROY FACTORY'. He knew that this factory would have one because all good stories about evil factories had an auto destruct button! Of course he did not find one because all the real life stories did not have an auto destruct button! He was about to leave the boss's room when he smelled something terrible. Henddrie almost fainted from the awful smell but he knew he had to get out or face the wrath of the SMFC leader. If he opened the door it would be too obvious, so he hid behind a board with the latest stock market portfolio news written on it. The door opened and in came an ugly purple neopet wearing an electric blue cloak and smelling like dung. 'And once I get lots of money, I can self-fund my portfolio which I love so much, and then I'll be so rich I can buy neo.anxious and push my way onto council!' At this, Henddrie gasped, thus revealing himself to the ugly neopet (purple is SO not his color).
Who's there? Don't touch me, I just had this cloak specially made...I'm warning you, don't come near!' said the neopet. Henddrie came out and demanded that he reliquish the citizens from his factory. Mr. UglyEgo refused, and Henddrie thought of the only thing he could do:
I challenge you to a fight! If I win, you must let the citizens revert back to their peaceful, communistic life.
And if I win?' Mr. UglyEgo asked.
You won't. But if you win, I won't bother you again.
The neopet replied, 'You do know that there is no chance you'll win, right? I wrote 5 guides on battledome weapons and I have a strong pet. Indeed.'
The next day, the challengers met at the Stone Dome. The ugly neopet was getting all worked up about the fight. 'C'mon, lemme see what chu got, c'mon! I have weapons worth 560 million abajillion neopoints, you don't have a chance to beat me! Plus I got this electric cloak made into a shield with 78 defense icons!'
Henddrie punched the neopet out cold, tore off his fancy schmancy cloak, and ground it into the floor. All around them the neopets cheered and dumped tea into the ocean, their ideal tea party. Henddrie smiled down at the ugly neopet. 'Lesson learned?' The neopet gasped, 'That was a lesson!?'
Yes, never have too big of an ego. And never test the CFSA's patience.
I thought this story was so good, I was almost sure I was biased. So I made Christine judge. She says, 'that was amazing. 5. you have to!' 5/5

Before He Got Addicted to Games and Boosted His IQ
Aristotle A. Avinroo was never really liked in school. Contrary to his name, which made him sound like a smart genius, which he wasn't, he was, well, let's face it, dumb. His parents had given him that name because they hoped he would grow up to do great things. Aristotle knew he would never meet his parents' expectations. His parents refused to face the facts and called him Aristotle, which embarassed him all the time. Everyone else just called him AAA.
One morning, his sister, Abigail, woke him up bright and early for neoschool.
ABIGAIL!" he whined. "We don't have to go for an hour." Needless to say, AAA was not a morning person. He reluctantly got out of his warm bed and decided to face another day of his miserable life.
As he imagined, school was as terrible as always. The math teacher wrote a difficult problem on the board (at least it was for AAA) and carefully adjusted his glasses. "You must solve the problem here on the board," he said.
AAA stared at his paper and wrote in neat writing the problem. It was a problem involving those tricky little variables - something they'd covered in class MONTHS ago. Yet AAA still didn't understand variables. He had to come up with an answer, quickly, so he guessed, "6,784.
The inevitable came. His teacher asked AAA to share his answer with the class.
AAA stared at the floor. He mumbled, "I got 6784" and quickly sat down as everyone was laughing. Dr. Ballard looked hard at him and said, "Aristotle, we need to talk after class." He then called on the perfect Lucy Bakalava, who answered primly, "The answer is 7, Dr. Ballard." "That is correct," Dr. Ballard said.
AAA ran home after school was over. He didn't care that Dr. Ballard had asked him to stay. He felt horrible, like no one cared about him.
Except for Abigail, of course. She comforted him and said, "I have something to show you."
They went down to the basement. Abigail showed him a game she'd been playing. "It's called Meepit vs. Feepit," she said.
He looked suspiciously at it. "I'll try," he said.
He played the Feepit, and won the game. He'd finally found something he was good at. He turned to Abigail and asked, "Do you have any other games to show me that I could play?"
And best of all, the games improved his IQ immensley.
AAA might have a great IQ, but the author doesn't! It's spelled 'immensely.' :D Quoth Christine, 'I woulda given it 3. It's not half as long, or funny as yours.' 3/5

Thanksgiving
Many of us will be celebrating Thanksgiving on November 22nd (yes, I know Canada already celebrated it...) and instead of just giving out food, we figured we'd do something different this year! Lori: I am thankful for the truth; for with it I'll know who my real friends are. I am thankful for the guild members who always manage to put a smile on my face. I am thankful for the guild for giving me an opportunity to lead, organize, and coordinate events. It really helps to develop an understanding of all the behind-the-scenes work. Although I have less time to chat on the guild board, I have gotten very close to my committee members, and seeing people submit referrals, or apply for committees, it really makes you see how much work the guild does too. And seeing someone /want/ to help out, it's really touching to see that you're not alone, and I'm thankful for that. Through this time in the guild I have seen so many people support me, and I know that if I fall there will be at least 50 people waiting to catch me. Leaving leadership, I am one of the crowd again and I will be able to "catch" the new leader whenever s/he needs it. By maintaining the website I've also broadened my knowledge of HTML and CSS, and just looking at the magnitude of our website and newspaper is inspiring. We have one of the best-run guilds in Neopia, so what's stopping us in real life? I've grown so much from this guild and hope that it will continue to be this haven for people to enjoy themselves at, and I hope we will always stay a role model to other guilds.

kooky: The things I'm most thankful for would have to be my parents, my little brother, my cat and dog, my guild, and my best friends. I'm thankful for my parents because without them I obviously wouldn't be here right now and they're the reason I'm such a [well I think I am…?] good person. The reason I'm thankful for my twerp of a brother is because he's helped me to learn mistakes I've made in the past and even though he can be a real pain in the back sometimes he's the only one that I can hang out with and it turns out to be really fun! I'm thankful for my cat and dog because they always understand me. I've had my cat for my whole life [almost thirteen years] and she's my best friend even though she can get very very annoying I still love her J. pinkdancingmonkey24: Gosh, this is such a tough question. I contemplated it for about 20 minutes and wrote multiple drafts before realizing that there is no one thing I am thankful for in life. I am thankful for having good (or at least most of the time) life. Yeah, there are some terrible parts of life (such as moving or watching people eat ribs), but those parts go away (most of the time) and are guided away by the people you love most. Cowpies_: When the Pilgrams first arrived here, they didn't have anything like we do today. One hting I am thankful for the art of forks, as we have them today, the Pilgrams did not. Holiday Snowflakes
Most people have heard of secret santa, where you buy something for someone and receive something from an anonymous person. We decided to take this idea and twist it around a little, instead, you know the person who you're buying/receiving from, but the aim of the game is to guess what your partner wants! If you sign up, the activities committee will assign and neomail you a secret snowflake. You will buy them a present that's worth 20k or less, and you will get one in return from another guild member! To figure out what they want, the activities committee will provide a snowflake that will have clues listed on it describing the item the member chose on the webbie. One clue will be given a day. There will be three clues given out, and on the fourth day a picture of the item will be in the center of the snowflake! You should be online every day so you make sure you see each clue presented. If you don't get the correct present right it's alright, it's the thought that counts!
You will have from December 10-17 to sign up for "Holiday Snowflakes". Clues will be given out from the 18th to the 20th. On the 21st the picture of the item will be revealed on your secret snowflake's snowflake. Presents need to be exchanged from the 22nd through the 25th of this month. Please choose a present worth around 20k! You must provide us three clues to put on your lovely snowflake.

Council Elections
I'm sure that you have all read
Lori's petpage and know that we are holding council elections! This time, however, the winner will be given the Leader position. Not only does this come with big benefits, but lots of responsibility as well. You will be held accountable for the happiness and well-being of all the members of the entire guild. Many of you have gone out of your way to convince me not to give up my position, and I've almost changed my mind but I know that there is someone more qualified than I. I also want to emphasize that this is not the sad ending of a beautiful story, but a new chapter or a glorious one (cheesy, right?)! I also hope that whoever you, the people, choose as leader, will be open to any and all advice from me, and that I am still an active part in this guild. And yes, as much as I hate giving into Sm, we are a democracy (sort of..), not a communistic society, so please be sure to get the public opinion before making any big decisions and to have frequent activities committee chats! Alyssa, I think you're a very cheery person, you're online for a decent amount of time, you're already head of the newspaper committee, and you do a good deal of advertising, which to me are definitely signs of a good leader. However, I wonder if your humor will get in the way if you were to be leader (your application was mostly about pink erasers and the newer members might not get a feel that you're serious about the position). Also, I hope that once you get new responsibilities seeing as the leader is adopted onto the activities committee, I wonder if you can still handle the newspaper and advertising at the level you are now.

The beginning of the application pretty much tells my whole life. :D History DOES repeat itself. There usually is some sort of drama or other at the guild, and I really hope you don't make rash decisions when that happens. I hardly delete members (except for being inactive), and it's always good to be a fair person. For the greet new members idea- we used to have an activity like that but nobody used it so it didn't work out. But it's definitely a cute idea; I'm very overprotective of new members and would do anything to make them feel wanted. :D Nice application, I wish I knew you better though.

You might just be the most experienced applicant- you know exactly how the website runs, you've been here for the longest, and it would take the least amount of time to train you. However, I'm concerned that you won't take things seriously, you'll let things get to you easily, you won't feel like updating things, and you'll want to get rid of activities that require more work -cough- faeriecrossword -cough-. You're online for a reasonable amount of time, and you're a very cheerful person. Valentine's Day
All's Fair in Love and War.
Valentine's Day is about showing your love for that special someone, but it can be a battle of emotions sometimes. For this year's Valentine's Day, we've decided to combine both love and war, and bring you an activity expressing both. It's a battledome tournament.
We will be pairing you up with other participants and you will fight each other in the battledome and the winners will move up until there is only one person standing. If you are interested in participating, submit your username below. To make this as fair as possible (even though ALL'S fair in love and war), we will pick the pet you are to use in the battledome. Generally speaking, we'll pick a pet with under 50 hit points.
We have all the participants ready and we have picked their pairs. Now you have to do your part! Below will be listed the battledom pairs that will be fighting each other in the battledome. Lori's Goodbye Letter
Even the best fall down sometimes
How do you begin to say goodbye? I've been sitting here for a while, thinking of an answer to that paradox. And then I realized that you can never really say goodbye to a group of people who have become your family. That you can spend time with people you've never met in real life, and they can impact you so much, that no matter where you go, they'll always be with you, and that's why you can never say goodbye. We'll be with each other until the day we die.
On that note, I'd like to thank you all so much. In November of 2006, I came back onto this lonely site, and put up a guildless board. I found neo.anxious through Sparkly, which at the time had 30 or so members. And I'll never forget how excited I was for the school day to end, just so I could come online and talk to my fellow guildmates. After I was elected onto council, and later on, became leader, I wanted to provide that same atmosphere that I was able to enjoy when I first joined- a feeling of sincere welcome, of making new friends, and of being able to talk about my real life problems without fear of being judged.
In September of 2007, I had outgrown this site. I kept the guild going, though, because of our members. I didn't want to disappoint anyone, and I still wanted to provide that feeling of being loved. By that time, the guild had taught me so much; I had learned basic HTML/CSS and how to be super literate, how to express your opinions in a courteous manner, how to take charge. I really just wanted to give something back for all that my guild had given me, and I struggled to keep the guild alive until December, when leader elections were held.
On January 1st, 2008, Kaye was elected the new leader, and we had a public ceremony on the GC. We've grown so much, and I'm so proud of how much neo.anxious as a guild has expanded. We moved to a new website, and at the time we had 130 pages, over 250 banners, a newspaper of over 150 articles, and over 150 active, literate members. We were well known for having an extremely strict application and literacy standard, as well as being one of the few large guilds that had close member relations. We've had lots of people come and go, and my only hope was that they enjoyed their stay. After all, isn't other people's happiness what we should make our priority?
Every day I go onto the guild message board, I develop a new memory. I've had a blast just being able to chat with you guys; whether it be about my big Mexican mansion with corn fields, trying to cross the border of Mexico into France, being a 35 year old African American male, flatulence, MRSA, big heads, electric feces, being covered with cheese (not to mention my cheez-it obsession), plans of world domination, trying to out-rap each other, communism, helping me study for the SAT II, or casually planning who to burn next. 
I'd especially like to thank the guild for helping me accomplish two of my four life goals. I was able to raise awareness about global warming and become a role model. I have yet to change the world and die of a noble cause. 
As much as I love neo.anxious, I need to put in a proper thank you to the GC here. It was in the summer of 2007 that I first started looking past the guildless people, and started making friends with the advertisers. I believe my first "advertising buddy" was Sanc (j_dawg_99), and soon I became best friends with her, Dark (darkjaganshi), Jae (daniellepatricelewis) , Anti (antistar), and Vinny (tenmakenji). Through the GC, I became great friends with Lizzeh (bluecougar99), Jess (xswimx), Smar (smarliepants), KJ (knowitall74), Denaya (denayarose), Arie (arctic_scribblez), Rara (optimistiic), and I'm gonna go blow myself over if I have to list the rest of the amazing people I've met here. I love the GC to the very bone, because this is the most literate, sincere, respectful, and courteous board I have ever been on. The GC provided an escape when I needed one, and I respect you guys SO much for that.
I have some "dying wishes," if you will. To all my guild members; I've always said, once an n.a'er, always an n.a'er. Stay loyal to the guild, loyal to yourselves, and always welcome new members. There's nothing more frightening than entering an established guild and trying to squeeze into a tight circle. Use the guild to its fullest extent! If you are bummed out about real life, talk about it on the board. Hopefully you'll find some inspiration, and make changes accordingly. 
To the GC; get rid of all those gossip and drama pages, stop stealing graphics, stop stealing guild content, rid yourself of your pompous personalities, stop forming cliques, and start showing more respect to each and every guild. Every leader made an effort to create a guild, and bashing them because of their layout, just makes others respect you less. Stop making those darn two week guilds! Are you honestly satisfied with that? Get rid of preopenings; they're one of the silliest things I've ever heard of. How can you open twice? Also, you're either literate, or nothing. There's no such thing as semi-literate. Remember to put the members first, and ask their opinion in every decision you make. Take into consideration whatever input they give you, because this is as much their guild as it is yours.
To the leaders; don't let people buy their friendship from you. Keep a high moral standard of fairness and respect. Only then can other people respect you. Know that whatever you do should be in the best interest of the members, and you want to exert yourself so that you do everything in your power to provide them a warm, inviting atmosphere. Guilds are what make neopets great! 
Never lose that.
To the lowlifes; stop wasting your time reporting guilds unless they have offensive content. Trying to take your jealousy out on great guilds by bringing them down, doesn't make you any higher. People depend on guilds as a haven away from real life, and stomping around demolishing homes isn't particularly kind, now is it?
To Kaye; I have not made a mistake in giving my leadership to you. What made me realize that this was completely true was when I told you to just give up, and you responded with a firm "No." And that was all you said- but that one word spoke of so many things- your incredible will, your strong determination, and your undying love for neo.anxious. I respect you so much for that decision, and I know from the bottom of my heart that your fellow guildmates do, too. You make me insanely proud.
I'd like to send out my deepest apologies for not being able to stay here longer. I've come in, made many new friends, got more out of this whole experience that I could have ever hoped for. I've laughed, cried, and done everything in between. I love my guild members more than I could ever express, and I can only hope that you're stronger than I am, and can continue on with neo.anxious's legacy.
When Dark left neopets, I never got a chance to say a proper good-bye to him, as I'm sure many people have not as well. I'll probably sign on once a month to go talk to the guild, and possibly pop into the GC to see how you are all holding up. If you'd like to contact me more frequently, you could probably ask Kaye (kayeluff).

But I think it is only important to love the world, not to despise it, not for us to hate each other, but to be able to regard the world and ourselves and all beings with love, admiration and respect."
