So guest you want to get this avatar? This guide will help you get started.

Before we start I'd like to point out that this guide will not guarantee that you will get the avatar. It will help you out with the game a little but getting the avatar requires luck and practice.

To get the avatar you need a score of 250+


In this game you will have to feed florg a few of his favorite petpets. They'll try to escape since they ofcourse don't want to be eaten and you have to make sure they don't walk off the table. If 5 petpets escape it's game over for you.


Before opening the game you can change quality and screen settings.

For the screen size I strongly suggest small. A small window means a smaller plate wich means it's easier to keep track of all the petpets.

As for the quality I prefer best since it just looks good and my eyes are lame like that XP seriously low quality just bugs me BUT low quality means slower petpets. Wich means you have a better chance at getting the avatar. You can ofcourse get the avatar with the highest quality but it's a tad bit harder. Just see what works best for you and go with that. ^_^

NOTE: For me the low setting no longer works. I don't know if it's the same for everyone but I just thought I'd let people know.



The screen you'll get after the game loaded. Start game should speak for itself.


The instructions screen. It tells you what the game is about and it will tell you about the controls wich I will get into in a bit.


The options button takes you to the controls. Here you can choose to use your mouse or your keyboard. I always go with the keyboard since I can't even score 100 points with the mouse. I strongly suggest using your keyboard but I'd also like you to try out the mouse option just to see what you like better.

As for the keyboard controls you'll be using the left and right arrowkeys. Pressing the left arrow key will move the hand to the right and the right arrow key will move the hand to the left. It's confusing if you think about it too much so just play the game two or three times just to get used to the controls it really isnt that hard.

Now the last button on the start screen is sound off/on. Always always always turn off the sound. The sounds will just distract you and annoy you so if you really want this avatar turn it off.

The petpets that will be released on the table are:

Spyders

Kookiths

Tenna's

Slorgs

Warfs
And

Hasee's

You get 10 points for every petpet Florg eats. You also get one point for every petpet you hit

Keep in mind that some petpets move faster then others like the slorgs and Hasee's.

Just to be clear on this since people have been neomailing me asking if certain petpets give more points. All petpets give the same amount of points!

Okay so you pressed start game this is what you will see.


I circled a few things. The top round thing is the crane/cage thingie that releases the petpets every now and then. Then we have the plate where you need to keep the petpets on until Florg will decide to eat them and then there is the claw you have to control to make sure the petpets stay on the table.

And ofcourse we have Florg who's demanding petpets.


And this is his tongue that will come out of his mouth when he feels like it to grab a petpet.

The game isnt easy at all. 250 points may not seem like a lot but you try keeping all 5 lives until you reach 250 points while having 5 petpets crawling over the table and all of them are going in different directions.

^^ whoops did I scare anyone with that? It can be a tad frusterating but keep your cool and you'll be fine.

The game starts out fairly easy and no frustrations are building up inside of you yet. This will start to change around 100 points when Florg either gets slower with eating or the crane becomes faster you pick. The thing with this game is that you can get about 200 points and then go game over because there are to many petpets on the table and you can't keep up.

Whats important to remember that always hit the petpets closes to eachother. So let's say you have 3 petpets on the table and two are close to eachother and moving at the same pace and one is going the other way always go for the two instead of the one. If you drop a petpet too bad but you have 5 lives so it's better to drop one than two right?

Another thing you need to remember is that you have to stay calm. Don't do anything rash and move around the table like a maniac. Patience is your best friend in this game.

Oh and for those people who are like me and get 240 points and get so happy that they almost have the avatar and stop breathing and stop to pay good attention to the game...try not to do that. It will most definatly be your downfall. Stay calm all through the game and don't get your hopes up too much when you get so close to the 250 points.

Also never play this game when you're really bored and tired at the same time. You'll start staring at the screen to much and forget to blink so you're eyesight goes blurry and this could easily make you lose two lives and thats not good.

Something I like to keep myself to while playing this game is losing one life every 50 points. It's better not to lose any ofcourse but if there is no other way around it do it like that.
0-50 points 5 lives
50-100 points 4 lives
100-150 points 3 lives
150-200 points 2 lives
200-250 points 1 lives

This has helped me out a lot. Another thing you could try to do is reach 100 points with 5 lives wich is possible and then use the 1 life every 50 points things wich will insure that you have 2 lives during the 200-250 points wich you could really use if you have no luck at all.

So all of it in a nutshell:
1: Always turn off the sound
2: Always hit the petpets that are close to eachother
3: Stay calm
4: Keep breathing
5: Keep blinking
6: Try to lose only 1 life every 50 points.
7: PRACTICE

One last thing I'd like to point out is try not to look at the kookiths to much. Unlike all the other pets they jump up and down and having 2 or 3 of them on the table can be extremely annoying. Keep calm!

Tips from twillight_princess: Turn on some of your favorite music. Sometimes the silence can make you more nervous. Going over the top of the plate might be faster.

Note: I'm not sure if twillight_princess is right that going over the top is faster. If anyone would like to test this and let me know I'd appreciate it. To me it doesnt seem much different.
