The Meaning of Wild, or tmow for short, is a newly established realistic wolf roleplaying guild. We're still under going a bit of construction, but that's all moving along quite smoothly, so it should be over and done with fairly soon.

oo1.] Power playing and god modeling will not be tolerated unless you've been given the consent of the roleplayer to take over, or, in the case of a fight, to just wipe the floor with their character.
oo2.] The use of chatspeak and one liners while in character is absolutely forbidden; simple as that. Not even writers block will pass as an excuse to the latter; however, if you sneak in the occasional 'lol' or whatever while out of character your head will not be bitten off.
oo3.] Realistic means no powers, wings, or exotic pelt/eye colors. More often then not accessories will not fly either, but if you can come up with a legitimate reason for them being there an exception may be made.
oo4.] Save the drama for the roleplay, if not the newbie boards, please and thank you. We don't expect that we will all get along all the time, but too much hostility out of character could very well destroy tmow. Majority of us are here to have fun, and enjoy the roleplay not to bicker and tear each other down. You don't have to be extraordinarily nice, but you are expected to respect everyone, and in turn everyone will respect you.
oo5.] It's assumed that everyone has a life offline, so in no case would you ever be expected to be online all day everyday. Of course for the sake of roleplay, and the guild in general, regular activity is required.
Unless you've spoken with Wynn, and have some kind of valid excuse you will be allotted just one week to get your character page(s) done, and start roleplaying. If you don't meet the deadline you will be removed from the guild. After joining the roleplay, if you become inactive, without excusing yourself prior to, you get only a two week grace period before being deleted. Keep in mind that if you ever return and would like to rejoin you will always be welcome; however, you will need to re-apply.
oo6.] This is not set in stone, but for now our character limit will be set at five wolves per roleplayer. This may become prone to fluctuating with new plots, more members, the birth of pups, etc. But in the event that the character limit drops below what you have you will not be asked to remove any of your existing characters from play. The only case in which you may be asked to drop a character or two would be where you've taken on more characters than you are able to roleplay at one time and either some of your characters are beginning to collect dust, or your literacy is waning. Of course once you've gotten back on your feet, and feel that you will be able to handle them all you will be welcome to bring those characters back.
oo7.] By our standards, if you can follow the rules above you are literate, and are welcome here. We're not stuck up to the point of turning people away just because they haven't reached a level in their writing where they can fluidly explain every color of the aurora lights as they twirl and dance across the early morning arctic sky. Yeah, it's great if you are at that level, but if not we hope to be the ones to help you get there.

current plot
Once again humans have taken it upon themselves to invade wolf territory, though something about their presence now seems different from past experience. These humans show no intention of harming the pack. They appear to simply be here to observe from afar, and with this they gain, not necessarily the pack's trust, but their tolerance. The more time the strange peaceful humans spend just watching the less weary the wolves become of them. Surely the humans have taken note of this, because with each passing day they seem to grow braver, or less cautious, however you would like to look at it.
This is obviously unknown to our wolves, but in the long run these humans are here with the intention to help not only this pack, but the entire species. They are a small group of elite animal activists and environmentalists who call themselves 'The Defenders of Wild Life'. Their plan is to tag and follow our pack for one year after which they would display their findings to the public in a way that may lessen the fear of wolves, as well as diminish the legalized hunting of wolves, if not abolish it entirely.
The initial stages will involve tagging, and blood testing of several of the wolves. After this physical interactions will be kept to a minimum, so there will be no need for anyone to play as humans.

Massive pine trees surround the small brush clearing where the pack spends the majority of their time. Numerous dens are scattered about the area, and there really isn't any strict system as to who sleeps where, though certain wolves will sometimes make a habit out of sleeping in one certain den.
Within the actual clearing you'll be hard pressed to find any game, but in the surrounding brush and wood small prey can be picked off; however, this area is generally reserved for juveniles as they first begin learning to hunt.

Unless to drink from the small fresh water stream that it is fed by this steady flowing waterfall the pack doesn't normally hang around here often. They have learned the hard way that the sharp, slippery, moss covered rocks can be dangerous, and the thrill of nimbly jumping from one rock to another isn't worth the risk for a wolf with any common sense at all.

This vast, hilly clearing is a preferred grazing spot for elk, deer, and bison. Learning to navigate and hunt in these steep hills, and small valleys is difficult, but definitely doable as a team, but impossible alone.
High in the mountains surrounding the clearing are mountain sheep; however, most wolves aren't too interested in them. It's far too much of a hassle for not even the promise of the tough meat of mountain sheep.
