Mummify
Previously known as Annakurah

Dark clouds form overhead, hiding the moon within their keep. Darkness is cast upon the land, only breaking momentarily for a flash of lightning, bringing with it the harsh sound of thunder. The clouds begin to release their burden, slowly cleansing the land with their droplets.

Lightning strikes the grassy field in front of you, sending it up in flames. From the flames emerges a translucent, unicorn-like figure. As the creature gallops across the land, the fire follows closely behind. As you look closer, you notice that the unicorn-like creature has a fire mane and tail that burns ferociously as it gallops. It turns to you, its blood red, beady eyes stare you down from head to foot.

Death is a tricky concept to grasp. According to Uni myth, each creature is born from an element - earth, water, air or fire. This element rules their lives and carefully crafts their personality from its elemental characteristics. When a creature departs from the world of the living, they pass on into the afterlife and continue on in peace with themselves and with nature, living as one. Upon death, each creatures bonds with their given element and lives among it. But what happens when a creature is not yet dead, but prematurely bonds with their element? You have an uncontrollable source of power, neither alive nor dead. Mummify, previously known as Annakurah, was one of these fateful cases.

Annakurah was born of the flame on a late, fateful evening. This element presented her with characteristics such as determination, rebellion and revenge. But it also granted her with a firey passion for love and free will.

Annakurah was an Egyptian Uni of royal descent. As future queen of the desert lands, she was betrothed to Sanakhte. According to her father and mother, the king and queen of the desert lands, Sanakhte was the only Uni suitable to be Annakurah's mate. He was a battle Uni. He fought strongly for his land in the Lost Desert war and became a war hero. Sanakhte was charming, but his fame twisted him into an arrogant being. He seized every opportunity to woo Annakurah. Disgusted, she always turned away. Her love was casted elsewhere, to a young Uni named Itakuai.

Itakuai was a commoner. He did not bathe in riches or bask in his glory. He was a humble soul, created from the lush waters of compassion. Because her parents were insistent that Sanakhte become Annakura's mate, she and Itakuai had to keep their love a secret. They carried on, knowing that the consequence - death - was severe. Any citizen who defied their ruler would be put to death, regardless of their relation. But no secret lasts forever.

Annakurah's parents became knowledgeable of their offspring's betrayal and sought out her lover. That night, thick grey clouds passed over the sun, casting darkness over the land. The atmosphere became chilled as a thick wave of wind crashed through the air. Itakuai was to be put to death.

Distraught, Annakurah fought against her parents, but it was hopeless. Deprived of her lover, Annakurah began to fade from existence and evolve into 'Mummify.' Though her presence was still seen by some, she was no longer alive. Her soul had tarnished and prematurely joined with her element of fire. Day by day she uncontrollably sweeps her flames across the earth, burning anything in her path. She no longer feels compassion for Unis of the desert land. She lives out her days in agony, searching for Itakuai, but at the same time unable to come in contact with the water in which he now roams. Mummify is bound to her fire-like prison and cannot escape it nor turn.

blakieye

blakieye is a Royal Boy Lupe. He owns a small but fertile kingdom on the outskirts of Meridell. He is a very kind and gentle Lupe and rules his kingdom well. He is still very much a kid at heart and holds his family very dear.

He was also once a Snow Aisha. Ashley kindly adopted him from the pound as a Green Aisha and decided to take him in and paint him! At that point, blakieye even got Ashley a nice avatar.

Corrinto

Corrinto, or Cor, is a regal Fire Peophin! She was created by Ashley in mid 2003. She was originally a Brown Peophin but one day Ashley logged on to find that she had turned blue! Devastated, Ashley felt that it was time for a change. Upon completing a World Challenge map one day, she received a fire paint brush. So she decided to use it on Cor. Cor enjoys roaming the ocean with Nitocrisca. They enjoy playing among the coral reefs and sometimes coming up to the surface to spy on land Neopets!

Nitocrisca

Nitocrisca is the queen of Maraqua and other seas of Neopia. She and her Lutra love entering in the Beauty Contest whenever they can. With Cor, they enjoy exploring coral reefs and meeting new friends. Nitocrisca also secretly loves hunting for treasure, though she doesn't like to admit it! She is very intelligent, by far the wisest member of our family. Nitocrisca enjoys stopping by the Kelp Café for a quick bite of Pate a la Kelp or a glass of Thornberry Brew. She is also very good friends with the Water Faerie, who visits her in the ocean from time to time.

Faichu

Faichu is a royal Draik with very dragon-like qualities. His kingdom resides in a barren, desert-like land, similar to what my home was like. There he rules over his Draik clan. Faichu is a quiet and mysterious - yet fair - ruler. He watches over his land day and night. Faichu has dedicated his life to protecting his fellow Draiks from the wrath of humans, who had once terrorized his land. Years ago there was an invasion. The humans were adamant on taking over and using the Draiks as transportation. Shortly before the war, an isolated human arrived in Faichu's territory and confronted him. She insisted that she wanted to help. Ashley, the young girl, gained Faichu's trust and aided him in the battle against the two-legged. The battle was long and hard, but Faichu and his Draik clan came out on top and drove the humans away.

Luminalii

Luminalii is a Halloween Ixi. She is a very unique creature who lives in a firey volcanic realm. While she does not have any special elemental abilities like Corrinto or Mummify, she loves the heat nonetheless. She is kind to her family, but also very proud and quick to anger. She lives a life of solitude and prefers it that way. Although she does check in on her family from time to time.
