*You stumble upon a dark grove of trees. In the center, bathed in moonlight, sits a shadow kougress. As the fireflies dance about her head, you wonder if you've intruded into a sacred place.*

Sacred?" the kougress speaks in a soft voice. "If this place is sacred, it is only to me. But be grateful that you have sensed the importance of this place, for I do not normally appreciate strangers intruding upon my haven. Do I make my self understood?
*And she growls low in her throat, to get her point accross*
*You swallow nervously*
Do not be so nervous," she says, eyes sparkling. "Though I bite, it is not nearly as hard as you think." She sighs deeply.
Do you smell that? It is the aroma of hidden knowledge, just waiting to be told.
*You take a deep breath and notice a faint cinnamin-like smell*
You can sense it," the kougress says approvingly. "Most humans, with their weak noses, cannot.
*She turns her back on you, and points her face up to the moon.*
Do you wish to learn what my haven will tell you?
*You nod silently*
Very well, take a seat, but be careful of the Moonwildflowers. If you crush one, it will be the last thing you ever do.
*She watches you suspiciously and begins.*

I wasn't always like this, you know. There was a time, when I was younger,when I was much more carefree. But then came the day I journeyed to the Lab. I was by no means forced to go. I chose to, because of my own stupidity. And what did I find there? The darker side of the world, one riddled with heartbreak, pain, and uncertainty. Innocence can only get you so far, and then it becomes a nuisance because more often than not you wind up in trouble. And it was because of my own innocence and carefree nature that I put MYSELF through the horrors of the Lab. I almost lost everything I hold dear, because it warped me so. I decided, upon reflexion, that rather than risk everything again, I would become informed, so I would never make the same unwise choice for a second time. And thus, I learned all about the world as we know it, and the things that live in it. And you see the end result right here-- a dark, shadowed being that delights in mystery and intimidation, right?
*the Kougress grins slyly*
Ah, but I have a softer side as well, much like the world. Let me tell you about the brighter side of me, Muari the Shadowed Kougress.

My Family


The Fairy-Child-- Faerie and I have a deep understanding of one another. I call her Mother because she likes to think she takes care of me. Though I am prefectly capable of doing all things myself, she stops by my house and checks on me, and sometimes gives me some money for groceries. We enjoy each other's company, and frequently travel to Faerieland, or Mystery Isle to sight-see.


Rauqi the Red Kougra-- Rauqi is my grandson. When he was born to my son Rauko I made the choice to leave our former home, Utopia, and bring him away from his evil father and grandfather. My hope is he will grow up to be only semi-evil, like me.


Delphi the Red Anubis-- Delphi is my pet, yes, but I don't think of her as something I own. We love each other very much, and she is incredibly loyal to me.



My Friends


Kanishtaa, Lupess of the Sun-- Kani is probably the only one that somehow manages to get me acting silly. We like to have fun, running through the forests and daring each other to do pointless things, like who can confuse the nearby herd of Kaus the fastest. Kani and I are an odd pair, Light and Dark, Sun and Moon, but it has never stopped our friendship.


Makimah the Tigress-- Kima and I have shared very similar experiences with the Lab Ray, and with life in general. She is very much like me, and I know I can trust her with everything going on in my life. We have many serious conversations, but always leave room for some laughs. Usually we go to one of the two Training Schools together and then stop for smoothies when were done.


x_Minoru_x the Shadow Kougra-- I ran into Minoru one evening while I was traveling home. We got off on a bad note, mostly because he had startled me so badly. Eventually though, we became good friends. It's nice to talk to him, because he has different ideas than I, and we have fun comparing views on the world.


Alysandria the White Kougress-- Aly is my newest friend. I met her because I was bored and happened upon her and a group of friends leaving for the beach. Aly is very social, and I look forward to being around her because there's always action. Aly is also very magical, and never ceases to amazing me.
