I started playing Neopets December 24th 1999 when there were less than 2,000 players. I had been a betatester for Petz 3 and had a few people that helped me keep up a site I had called The Playground. One of my friends that helped on the site told me about Neopets. I soon lost interest in Petz and the site and brought the rest that worked on The Playground site to Neopets. Three of them still play Neopets.

Livechat rooms in all the main neoshops and hanging out in them waiting for main shops to restock Faerie Quests were unlimited There was no quickstock, everything was stocked one item at a time into your shop or deposit box User Theme Parks where your pets paid to go on rides and found random items like balloons  You could buy wine from the food shop for about 120 neopoints Anyone having over 100,000 neopoints was considered rich Players could create a new item and submit to Neopets and some where used as real neoitems (jabbathehutt created several neggs, chris22099 made the original snowglobe and I had 2 items, the HRobibear and the HollyNoel ring)
The Story of the HollyNoel Ring and the Fish Negg Once upon a time in the land of Neopia. A sweet fuzio by the name of Nut_case gave this ring to a pretty lil aisha named HollyNoel in May of 2000. But it wasn't fair for it to be the only one in the land so, in July of 2000 it was changed into the Fish Negg. The image was changed again in the Spring of 2001. We will always treasure the sentiment.

No, I was not given the Baby Negg. I traded a Fish Negg for it. I did great on the negg trade but look at what I spent for a silly Rainbow Scooter. I traded the Baby Negg after about a year and that buyer duped it so TNT turned it into sparkling Apple Juice. Too bad, it was such a cute item.
