Of course, we don't want our beautiful guild to become an inactive pile of goo, or a group of badmouths, or a community that appears unfriendly, or anything relatively close to such horrible results. So to prevent this, I have scribbled down a few things to consider when talking in the messages and so on.

1. BE ACTIVE. I can't even count on my fingers how many different guilds I've been in but have miserably failed because the members refused to log on or come visit. Sad, isn't it?! I assure you, we aren't so terrible that you'd have to abandon us. That, my friend, is pure insanity. So please, we require that you drop in once every time you log on AT LEAST. This is a rule that will be enforced strictly due to the fact that none of our new members are participating. We would LOVE to see you even more often than that!
   NOTICE: Right now, we have been much more lenient on the activity restrictions because we are now deemed semi-active. Some of our members are either on Hiatus or just not showing up to do real life affairs. We do make these certain exceptions, because real life is ALWAYS more important than here.
   
   If, for some reason, you will be gone for a certain amount of designated time, please inform Tamaki or Haruhi ahead of time if possible. If your inactivity starts to become high, we will be sending out... -gasp- WARNING MAIL. D: Just as though you are breaking the rules, each warning will gradually get tougher and tougher, until we just plain dispose of you. D': (Haruhi knows from experience. xD) Also, at the end of each month, if you do not have over ten posts than you had at the beginning of the month, you will be deleted. Not to worry, though. I will send out an announcement if you have been removed, so that way if you wish to rejoin us, just Neomail Tamaki. Just remember to be more active!
   
2. NO BAD LANGUAGE. Profanity is an ugly thing; it taints the mouth. And as you know, our community is full of beautiful people, so profanity will put a blemish on our great message boards. Profanity is the pimple on the forehead of society. (Yes, I am quite aware of how lame that phrase was.)
   
3. KEEP ARGUING TO A MINIMUM. As we all know, arguing is such FUN at some times, so we allow a smidgen of it on the message boards. But if things seem to heat up to boiling point, we will send you a message politely stating for you to take the argument to Neomail. Role-playing arguments are accepted. If it is argument in character, it is most definitely 100% acceptable. We do love a good show.
   
4. PARTICIPATE. We don't put these activities on here for our health, and hopefully this warning won't even pertain to you because you'll want to do them anyway. But just in case you're one of those lazy bums who just like to chat, that's fine, but we ask you at least TRY some of the activities.
   
5. COUNCIL MEMBERS HAVE AUTHORITY. Without us, you wouldn't even be a part of this establishment, so pleasepleasePLEASE treat them with utmost respect, just as we respect you, our wonderful guests. (:
   
6. ADVERTISE. Ever have those lazy days with nothing to do? Where sadly none of your Neofriends are on-line? How about rounding up a few more members! That's always a good idea here at the Host Club! We do enjoy the most guests we can get!
   
7. PLEASE KEEP THE COMMONERS TALK TO A MINIMUM. Commoners talk = chatspeak. Are we expecting you to be a spelling professional? Heavens, no! But please keep the C-Speak down, with the exceptions of common acronyms such as lol, brb, etc. Try to be as literate as possible. Typos are ignored. :D
   
8. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ROLE-PLAYING FESTIVITIES. No one is going to force you to role-play if you have a case of stage fright. If you wish to be a Host, we REQUIRE that you participate in role-plays when possible. We also require at least two people to role-play when doing so. Monologues are not allowed on the message boards. (Apologies for those with schizophrenia.) Original characters are allowed, but they must NOT outnumber cannons. Also, interrupting the role-playing is very rude. Please refrain.

Don't underestimate us, my dear! We, as a matter of fact, do have penalties for such misbehavior. We do send out warnings, only unlike TNT, we state exactly why you were warned, and possibly will give examples. That way there is no confusion as to why you were so suddenly reprimanded. The restrictions are as follows~

1. FIRST OFFENSE: Your first offense against our rules will be a simple, harmless warning through Neomail from one of the council. Nothing to worry about, just don't do it again.
2. SECOND OFFENSE: We will send you a warning, not so nice and kosher as before. This will be your final warning.
3. THIRD OFFENSE: You will receive a warning and a three day suspension. You wouldn't want that.
4. FOURTH OFFENSE: You will be deleted from the guild without explanation. You may, however, rejoin if an acceptable apology is thought out.
5. FIFTH OFFENSE: If, when you were re-accepted back into the guild and yet CONTINUE to break our well thought-out rules, you will be permanently banned from our guild, never to return. This would be a nightmare!

Just recently, one of our lovely members, Rini (x_angelite_x) has come up with the idea to create an {off-site} link for us!! This won't be the main Hosting area, heavens no! It's just an area where we can chat about non-Neo-related subjects, or an alternative place for our Host services!! Of course, whatever the topic, it will always be kept "appropriate." We encourage ALL MEMBERS to sign up for this. Also, if you are one of those unfortunate beings that possibly did not qualify to be a part of our guild, you may also join in on this fun experience. ^^

Each member is entitled to become a character from the anime. This can be any character you wish, as long as it is not previously taken. As this character, you are obligated to role-play them to the best of your ability. Of course, none of us here are professional actors, but we do ask you to try your best. Don't be afraid; no one is going to critique you. Your level of experience doesn't interfere!!

Of course, if there was a character you were hoping to choose from that is NOT on the list, they are most certainly yours. If, unfortunately, your favorite character is already taken, we do now accept |understudies|. Understudies are replacements for those who cannot make it to one of our role-plays. We do not currently have any understudies, so all characters to understudy are currently open. Please Neomail Tamaki for further information on being an understudy.

Also, if you do become an understudy, we encourage you to have a regular role-playing character as well, one that is yours only. That way, if we do have everyone, you can still participate. ^_^
