1. PLAY AS MANY GAMES AS POSSIBLE EVERYDAY!
The FIRST step in becoming a wealthy Neopian will start with GAMES! Not every person will like every game they try. You have to find TEN games that you like. You dont have to be great at them to start, you just have to LIKE them. Then you have to play those ten games, 3x each EVERYDAY! As you play these games, you will become better at them, and eventually you will be able to get the max points award per game, which is 1,000 each!

SO...When people tell you that you cant make any neopoints playing games, What they really mean, is they DONT KNOW! If you start with GAMES, you will have points to invest in maintaining a stocked shop, which we will cover a little later.
There are many games out in Neopia. The only way to find out what game is your best is to get out there and play them. I do not suggest that anyone play any of the gambling games until they consider themselves well off. The gambling games such as Black Pawkeet Slots or Kwraps can leave a semi well off (or poor) Neopian bankrupt!


2. OPEN A BANK ACCOUNT!
There are several reasons for opening a bank account.

*You need to keep your neopoints in a safe place and when you leave them lying in the open they are vulnerable for ghosts to steal some.

*Neopoints in the bank gain interest. Depending on what type of account you hold and how much you have in the bank. This is free np everyday.

*Don't forget to go into the bank everyday and collect your interest. Do this BEFORE you deposit or withdraw any NP's, or you dont get it!

*It is the best way to eventually become well off. The bank offers several types of bank accounts. I use these as goals for myself. When you set goals you should start off small and work you way up. Once you have decided what amount of np will make you feel well off and secure, the key is not to touch those np. If you want to save up for that special paintbrush then forget about the 100,000np you have in the bank. Start saving as if you had zero, and if that paintbrush costs 200,000 only after you have 300,000 np in the bank do you take and buy that 200,000-np paintbrush. This still leaves your original 100,000np that you had saved. You should only dip into those neopoints if there is an emergency of some sort. I personally see no emergencies arising here in Neopia that would require you to touch them.


3. CREATE A SHOP!
For 150 np you can start your own shop and can place up to 5 items in the shop. Each time you upgrade your shop you are able to place an additional 5 items in your shop. To be perfectly honest…. a shop size of 10 is more than enough. This will enable you stock up to 50 items in your shop. Always remember to take 10 or 20% of the money you make from selling items in your shop and put it in the bank to add to your savings. You need to keep some of it to restock your shop with.

*You should sell anything you get that you do not need. Be sure and do some research before you shop in the main shops. Make certain that items you are buying will be able to be sold for more NP's than what you paid for them so that you are making a profit. It is not important to make a huge profit...just important to make a profit. Check the shop wizard to make sure that you are pricing your items lower than the lowest.

*Get to know the items your shop is going to specialize in. Use the shop wizard to ensure that you have the lowest priced item on the market. You do not need to go drastically lower. If you lower your item by 1 np or 5 np lower than the lowest, you are only losing out on a few np, but you will gain a sale by being the lowest.

*If you have a fast connection, stick around the shops like the Clothes Shop, Book Shop, Toy Store, Chocolate Shop and Magic Shop and grab the items that you know will make profits. If you have a slow connection (14.4k, 28.8k, 56.6k) stick around shops like the Card Shop, Furniture Shop, Garden Shop, Hotdog Shop, Smoothies Shop, and the Grooming Shop. You can get a cheaper price if you try to haggle with the shopkeeper, but if you have a slow modem this may not be wise as someone else may come and take away the item while you are haggling. One more thing, when in the shops, remember to refresh often because the items come out a few at a time.

*There are occasional items you receive for free items, especially if you wonder around the site. I have run across codestones, map pieces, and snowballs. If you do not need these items, sell them. It is pure profit. I also noticed that the more I donated to money tree-not meaning np, but items-the more often I found items in my journeys. I myself donate those silly booby prizes such as sailboats and tiki key rings.



4. NEVER BUY FOOD UNLESS YOU HAVE TO!
If you have less than 3000 np than you can go to the SOUP KITCHEN and get food for free. You can also go to the Tyrannian World and get a slice of an omelette everyday, regardless of how many NP's you have. The slice of omelette will be enough to feed 2 pets each day. Quick note: some of the omelette's are rare and can be sold for 400np or more, so learn your rare omelette's!


5. GET YOUR DAILY FREEBIES!
*Go to the healing springs everyday and you may get lucky and your pets will be healed so that they aren't hungry for that day. This is also a great place to get some potions you can sell in your shop.

*Make your rounds each day to TOMBOLA, located at the Mystery Island, COLTZAN'S SHRINE, and the FRUIT MACHINE, located in the Lost Desert. You can only go to these areas once a day but you can win neopoints, levels, and items from them as well. The stuff you win you can either sell it or use it to feed your pets or to help make your pets abilities or levels better. ONCE A MONTH you can go HERE and get a BONUS FREEBIE from Neopets! You get 2,000 Neopoint's, and one food item for each pet you have! If you click the link and it directs you to The Soup Faerie or to the Omellette, it only means they have not reset the Freebies for this month. Try again another day!


6. When you are doing quests from each area of the world, try not to buy things that exceed 3,000 points. The return ratio for anything more expensive than this is not always good.You can decline a quest by clicking on the GUILD icon in the left-to-right tool bar at the top of your SHOP page, and then clicking FAERIE QUEST's at the top right. AFTER you have established yourself better and have more points in the bank, ALWAYS try to complete the quests because they help increase your abilities and levels and pet stats such as strength, movement, etc. You can also OPT IN for a Quest by going to one of the many faerries around neopia, such as Illusen The Earth Faerie, Jhudora The Dark Faerie, and The Snow Faerie, to name a few.


7. Always spin the Wheel of Excitement for every 2 hours you are on because the winning ratio is worth putting out the 150 np. Below are the links to each of the 5 Wheels, and the points needed for each:

8. Visit the Healing Springs BEFORE you rush out to buy that expensive medicine should your pet come down with an illness! You can visit the Springs once every 30 minutes. So, even if it takes you a day or two, or even a week... if you are a Poor Neopian, it could save you alot of Neopoints you cant afford to loose!


9. There are set times that the Snowager sleeps. If you sneak in while he is asleep you can get a free item. You have to be careful though because he can blast you with his icy breath. Any items you get from here can be placed in your shop and sold for a profit. Below are a list of times I have found him to be asleep:
06:00 - 07:00 AM NST
02:00 - 03:00 PM NST
10:00 - 11:00 PM NST


10. There may be times when you do need to buy items for a quest or for your own enjoyment or your pet's enjoyment. It is important to understand how to use the Shop Wizard. Simply typing in the name of the item you are searching for will not always give you the cheapest item available. Refresh the shop wizard several times to ensure that you are getting the best price or that you are going to be offering the items in your shop for the cheapest.


11. The STOCK MARKET can be very risky and you should only play it if you really can afford it. I have lost np on the market and I have also made a tidy profit from the stock market. You can buy 50 shares of several different stocks that are priced at 15np and once they go up to at least 20-25np, you can sell them for a nice profit. If the stock goes lower than 15 just sit on it. More than likely it will rise back up and once it hits 15 you can always sell it to break even. The stocks REALLY REALLY are only for those who can afford to lose 25,000np and not have to worry about gaining it back for a while.


12. The 3rd of every month is half off day at all the MAIN SHOPS.
This is the best time to go shopping. You could actually dip into some of your savings in an effort to stock up as much as possible, just remember after you make your profits to put back the savings you dipped into.


13. Another way to earn Points is at the EMPLOYMENT AGENCY,
but you have to know what items are worth doing the job or you have to be REALLY good at the games they ask you to play!




14. The TRADING POST and AUCTION are a great way to increase your profits and even to save money on items you need. You just do a search on the auction or trading post and watch to see what appears. Make sure before you bid or make an offer that you know what the cheapest price on the wiz is for that item. Try to get the item for as much less than that as possible. Once time I got a fire faerie on the auction for 2100. This was when faeries were selling for over 3500, that was an awesome profit. Than there was another time that I bought a book on the auction for 450 thinking I would surely get at least 500np for it, turned out that it was only worth 275. I learned my lesson and now keep a second wind*w open that has the shop wizard there so I can determine if I am getting a good deal. Remember if you are selling items on the trading post or auction not to start your items off priced too high. Start of with the minimum that you are willing to accept and remember no one will bid or put in an offer if the minimum that you are willing to accept is higher than what they can find it on the shop wizard.


15. Make sure you keep your eye on the NEWS . The Neopet's staff keeps everyone updated in Neopia via the News, which is located on the left yellow bar under shops and above help. When you see that new items are being sold remember that if you can't get it yourself in the main shops to wait at least a week before you buy if from the shop wizard. The prices will drop drastically through out the course of the week. If you manage to get a new item in one of the shops sell it immediately to get the highest price you can for it. If you manage to get a new item, you can advertise, DO NOT SPAM, in the chat areas that you have it in your shop for sale right now or have it on the trading post and so forth.

My best advise is to go to the guild and post your questions there.
