Gourmet Food | Jelly Experiment | Height/Weight Experiment

I am eager to earn the Gold Gourmet Food Trophy but to date I have only eaten enough Gourmet Food to hold an Honorary Member Trophy. My ultimate goal is to GO GOLD but unfortunately, whilst each Gourmet Food eaten is worth one point towards your Gourmet Club score, Gourmet Food has a rarity index between 90 and 100 which makes some of it very expensive!

Meanwhile...I am experimenting with Jelly. Yes, that mysterious, wobbly treat intrigues me so much that it is my goal to become that rarest of creatures - a Jelly Neopet - how about that?!

Jelly is FREE daily! Visit the Giant Jelly every day for your wibbly-wobbly FREE treat! ONE Jelly counts as TWO meals so it is always a bargain buy for a hungry Neopet but beware - some jelly can make a Neopet sick; feeding Glowing Jelly your Neopet may give it Blurred Vision. However, Poisonous Jelly can also help a sick Neopet because if your sick Neopet eats a Poisonous Jelly, he/she will come down with NeoMonia which might be cheaper to cure than whatever he/she already has!

My Jelly Experiment is underway - I am going to eat every kind of Giant Jelly offering there is and record the results here; I wonder if Jelly works like some other foods (like Chocolate and Garlic) so that if I eat enough of it, I might evern turn Jelly? Hmmm...

Additionally, I am being shamelessly over-fed because I have plans to become not only the wobbliest but also.the shortest, heaviest Neopet in the whole of Neopia and to achieve this, I like to snack on other 'special' food when I am not juggling Jelly and eating Gourmet Food. My absent-minded owner forgot to record my weight and height when I was born but as of 8th June 2008 they were (after eating 525 Gourmet Foods, 1 BBQ Porkwich and 1 Pumpkin Negg): Height: 56 cms. / Weight: 51 lbs. Since then, I have consumed 24 BBQ Porkwiches and 124 Pumpkin Neggs.

Check my current "vital statistics" on my Lookup! Pumpkin Negg BBQ Porkwich When fed, this item increases your pet's weight by 1-2 lbs. and decreases your pet's height by 1-2 cm but it will not lower your pet's height to below 20cm. 124 Eaten When fed, this item increases your pet's defence by 1. It used to increase your pet's weight but seems to have become glitched and does not do that any more. 24 Eaten I no longer eat BBQ Porkwiches; hughmanbean collects them instead!

According to TNT, there are more foods that can alter your pet's height and weight but, they are being characteristically coy about revealing which foods!

The Neopet [removed] is in excess of 1,000 lbs! I have asked and asked with no reply. Is this a Lab Ray possibility? Thank you! ~anydamnedthingeez

Hehe, no, the Lab Ray can't change the weight of your Neopet. Certain food can though, such as the BBQ Porkwich item.

Yep! Let's see... feeding your Neopet a BBQ Porkwich will make it weigh more, and a Pumpkin Negg will make your Neopet shorter and weigh more! There are lots of different foods like this. You'll just have to try them out and see!

Question 2223, Editorial Issue 132:

Is there any way to decrease a Neopet's weight or increase it's height? I know that the opposite of these can be achieved through a Pumpkin Negg. I've heard that this is possible through the Lab Ray, but don't want to risk the other things that may happen, and I've also heard it's a random event, but I don't know. If not, can you make this possible in some way? - Sir_eternal

At the moment a few different foods do this, but they are very hard to come by and it isn't guaranteed that that is what they will do. There are no random events that do this as far as I know.

So...do you have a height/weight change food fact to share? Any information presented must be correct and be available/verifyable on the Neopets Web site (preferably with a link).
