My name is Angela, but everyone on Neopets calls me Miracle

I am happily married. My Hubby and I will celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary in December 2007.

I have 2 beautiful daughters (ages 3 and 7). I am a Stay-at-Home Mom, so they keep me busy, but in my free time I enjoy playing Neopets.

Q's & A's

Q: Why did you make a Canine Page?
A: Well, I am completely in LOVE with my Canine Gallery and decided that a petpage dedicated to it was in order.

Q: How long did it take you to make the page?
A: The layout and coding took about 2 days, whereas the 'research' took me about a week.

Q: Your gallery PWNs, can I have some of your items?
A: Thanks, I think my gallery is quite PWNfull too! But sadly, NONE of my items are for sale/trade/give-away. I have worked hard for my items and would expect others to do the same.

Q: How old are you?
A: Errrm, probably a lot older than you :P Besides, you should know better than to ask a woman her age *wink*

Q: Do you have any other collections?
A: I used to have a Negg Gallery, but after 5 1/2 years of collecting them, I decided to sell them and start my Canine Petpet Gallery.

Q: What is your favorite 'Canine' Petpet?
A: I must admit I am quite fond of the Spardels, they are so CUTE!

Q: Do you have a 'real-life' pet?
A: I did. Her name was Sweetpea and she was a solid black minature Chihuahua. Unfortunately, she passed away last year.

Q: How long did it take you to collect all those dog items?
A: I started collecting Spardel items back in April of 2006... you can do the math :P

Q: Did you make your own layouts and graphics? Can you make me some?
A: Yes I did. I use both MS Paint and Photoshop. Making the graphics is easy, its the coding part that gets me.
And even though I enjoy making the layouts and such, it does take alot of time away from me playing the site and earning Neopoints. So, at this time I only do 'customs' for friends. Sorry.

That is why I decided to dedicate this petpage to 'Neopian's Best Friends, the Canines'.

You'll find everything you want to know (and some things you didn't) about 'Canines' here!

For those of you wondering "What is a Canine?", the answer is pretty simple... A Canine is just another word for DOG.
And Neopia has several of these adorable little critters!

It cant fly, cant move very fast and mainly just sits there staring with those big round eyes.

A cute mongrel that delights in finding small treats for your Neopet!

This pretty puppy will fetch anything that is thrown for it. It eats almost anything! It loves children, too!

What Spardels lack in intelligence they more than make up for with love.

Facts and Tidbits

Dogs descended from the wolf family.

Dogs vary greatly from breed to breed.

Most dogs are able to detect scents and sounds far better than humans.

An adult dog has 42 teeth.

Dogs only sweat from the bottoms of their feet, the only way they can discharge heat is by panting.

Dogs yawn as a sign of contentment.

Dogs have about 100 different facial -disallowed_word- or unteach the dog) which is usually more difficult. Like humans, dogs can learn at any age- it's just old habits that are hard to break!

THE WET NOSE KNOWS.
A Dogs nose has about four times as many scent cells as cats and 14 times more than humans'. That's why dogs are frequently used to sniff out allergy causing mold, termites, illegal drugs and missing persons. They can also smell their dinner from anywhere in the house!

Usually a dog's nose will 'run', but when it doesn't it means the dog isn't getting the vital fluids he or she needs or that they are getting sick. A dry nose isn't good for these little fellows.

THE HARD WORKERS.
Some Dogs actually have jobs! Yeap, some dogs are used for rescue while others might be used for hunting or protection. And lets not forget the canines that assist humans with disabilities, such as seeing eye dogs and hearing dogs. Alot of training and hard work goes into teaching these dogs the skills they need in order to do thier jobs right.

YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!
Dogs can laugh? The dog-laugh sounds similar to a normal pant, only a little deeper sound coming from the throat.

Care and Responsibilities

Feed and water daily.
Clean bowls would ne nice also. After all, you wouldn't want to eat out of a dirty plate.

Make sure your pet is warm and cozy in cold weather and cool and refreshed in hot weather. Make sure they are protected from the elements (rain, snow, etc.)

Brush your pet daily to assure his/her coat does not become matted or knotted.

Play with them daily, to make sure they are well exercised and happy.

Make sure your dog has his collar and leash when going for walks.

NEVER pull, tease, hit, or poke your dog (or let anyone else for that matter). It's mean.

Make sure thier teeth are clean and healthy. Try giving them a bone to chew on :)

Communication

Dogs bark for many reasons, such as when perceived intruders. Play or excited barks are often short and sharp, such as when a dog is attempting to get a person or another dog to play.

Dogs whine and whimper to show that they are in pain or are afraid, but also when excited. Some dogs may use whining as a means of getting attention.

Howling provides long-range communication with other dogs. Sometimes dogs howl in response to high-pitched or loud noises such as alarms, sirens, music, or singing.

About MY Gallery

Neopia's Cutest Canines, started out almost by accident on April 1st, 2006. I was actually just exploring the site, looking for a petpet to cheer my Cybunny, Xx_Piddles_xX's up with.
Right away I saw a cute little petpet called a SPARDEL! I knew that was the petpet I wanted to buy for her.
Shortly there after I decided I wanted to collect all the different Spardel and Spardel items I could find. Well, to make a long story short... I finished collecting all the Spardel items, but decided the gallery just wasn't big enough. So with the encouragement of my neofriends (in my guild and on the GSC), I began to collect ALL the dog-like Petpets and items I could find.

So here I am now, a little over a year later, with an almost complete gallery of these cute and wonderous Canine Petpets.

There are only a few items left for me to obtain, and they are ALL extremely rare...
