How to Make and Post a Character
Alright so you are interested in making a character but aren't quite sure what to do for their image. Well you have come to the right place, this will give you set by step instructions to creating a character, decorating them to your liking, and posting them on a pet page so that they can be posted on a character page.Step 1- Have a feeling for them
it is a good idea that before you start to look for an image for your character you have a good idea of what you want them to look like (ie-- boy or girl, short or tall, skinny or tubby, etc). It also helps if you know what kind of presonality you want them to have becuase a picture can show this as well. If you already have an image you want to use and just need help poting it then skip ahead to step 4. Otherwise, follow the tutorial all the way down.Step 2- Choosing a Template
Posted at the bottom of this page are some examples of wolf templates you can use. To find others just go to your web browser and type in template for X kind of character. After you have chosen you template hover your arrow over the image and right click on it. Copy the image. Now, pull up paint. Once there paste your image into the canvass. Once you have your image there feel free to decorate it as you wish, it is your character afterall. Leave all credits on the iamge template if there are any, you didnt draw the image on your own afterall!
Step 3- Save it
Before you close out of paint make sure you save your image!. To do this go to FILE and once the scroll down menu appears click on save. Give the image a title you will remember becuase you will need this again later! Okay, now that you have saved the image you can close out of paint.Step 4- Uploading
Okay so once you have your image you need to uplaod it to a web browser. To do this go to a site such as photobucket. If you dont already ahve one you will have to make an account there. Once you have an account, click on the upload photos and video button. Once you are on the new page click on the choose file button in the upload video and image box. Click on the image you created earlier. You are finished with this step once the uploading process had become complete and you have copied the DIRECT LINK for that image.Step 5- Putting it on Neopets
Now go to neopets homepage, and make sure you are signed in. Click on the my account button (the first on on the navigation bar). Go to the second box on this page that is labeled neopets and then click on the link "edit pet page." Choose which pet page you want your image to go on and then click the edit button under that neopet. Once you are on that page clear out all the text in the text area. Then you will put in the following code: (arrow)img src="paste-the-direct-link-of-your-image-here"(arrow). Then you will go to the bottom of the page and click the preview changes button. Once a seperate window has popped up (your image should be on that page) go to the bottom of that page and click the save changes button. You have now succesfully posted an image on a neopets page.
