Famous Hissi
Deserted Tomb Monster
This creature hails from the
Deserted Tomb in the
Lost City of Geraptiku. Those whom are brave enough to venture inside may encounter this deathly beast and when you do you are given the chance to flee.
That's definitely no treasure. A giant monster leaps out from the darkness and begins chasing you, all the while thinking about the best way to cook you for dinner. You should probably continue running.
Kastraliss
Kastraliss is the fourteenth opponent in
Defenders of Neopia Series 1 and is obtained as a Battledome Challenger by refreshing
here. He is also featured in the Darkest Faerie Video game and is a servant of the Darkest Faerie.
A servant of the Darkest Faerie, he prowls the swamps of southern Meridell spreading death and decay.
Layton Vickles
Layton is the Team Captain of Darigan Citadel in the
Altador Cup where he plays Left Forward and his strengths lie in scoring, running plays and quickness. His only weakness is strength.
Vickles has taken the Cup once in Altador Cup II, 2007, has participated in each Altador Cup from 2006 to 2010 and does not disappoint. Darigan Citadel is one of the leading teams and during 2006 won the awards All Star Team - Forward and Best Scorer where in 2007 he won Most Valuable Player
and All-Neopia First Team - Forward.

Neopian Pound Hissi
The Neopian Pound Hissi handles
transfers within the Neopian Pound and works alongside Dr. Death and the adoption Uni.
Two-Headed Hissi
The Two-Headed Hissi was first spotted in the Tale of Woe Plot and guarded the path to Ilere's home within the woods. One head tells the truth while the other will always lie.
You jab the left Hissi head with the pointy stick. 'You did not poke me.' the head declares. 'That didn't hurt. You're not holding a stick.' Clearly that's the head that lies, so you should probably go down the other path.

Galleries
How to Draw
In Pet Central there is a
How to Draw section where you can learn to draw many Neopets, Petpets and other characters. The steps to draw a
Hissi are listed below.
1. Begin by sketching an oval-shaped head. Next, make a curvy L-shaped body that's connected to the head. Remember to add the end of the Hissi's tail so that it peeks out from the lower right side (your left) of its body.
2. Next, add a pair of rounded triangle shapes for the Hissi's wings, two almond shapes for its eyes, and a smaller oval for its snout.
3. We're now going to modify the head so that it looks more like a Hissi's. Thin out the face, add arches above the eyes, and give the snout a mouth.
4. Erase any extra lines that you might have. Then, give the Hissi's body more detail by adding curved horizontal stripes down the length of its stomach.
5. Next, make the wing shapes look more like actual wings by drawing long, jagged edges on the bottom of each one, with a point on the side and adding lines in the middle to show where the wings crease.
6. Now give your Hissi some distinctive spots by drawing different-sized shapes all over its body.
7. Erase all of your extra lines and start colouring the Hissi's body whatever colour you desire!
8. Finish up your Hissi's picture by colouring in its spots and giving it some shading.
How to Get a Hissi
Currently there are four different ways to obtain a Hissi and each will be described below:
1. The first way to receive a Hissi is to wait until Hissi Day which is the 4th of May. You will then proceed to wait and refresh at the Create a Pet page and for them to be released on their pet day in batches.
2. Another option is to obtain a Hissi Morphing Potion or Transmogrificaton Potion and morph an existing pet into a Hissi. The available potions are featured below and to discover the name of each item just hover over each image. You can either purchase these potions from other users via the Trading Post or Auctions or restock them at Kauvara's Magic Shop. However, the Hissi Transmogrification Potion is only available to purchase or received through a Random Event by Dr. Sloth.
3. Then there is also adopting one from the pound if you're lucky! And another option is to trade for a Hissi in exchange for one of your pets.
4. Lastly, there is an item called the Mysterious Swirly Potion which transforms your existing pet into a Limited Edition pet while retaining its current colour. However, this is the most costly method of obtaining a Hissi as there are other pets it could transform into and is obtained normally through
Underwater Fishing.
