Darkness... Traveling through a forest, unsure of where you are headed as the cool night breeze graces your skin with a great chill. A dim light. An exit. Upon reaching it, you find yourself in an area shrouded with fog. Eerie silence... then the sound of water. Your attention is caught by eyes in the fog upon a shadowy figure standing on all fours. The eyes are glowing the color of the day skies, with an intimidating stare. The shadow disappears and there's a sudden rustle in the trees behind you. Fear fills your soul and your heart races causing blood to course through your veins faster. Welcome to Mei's murky lake.

Name: MeiKouu
Nickname(s): Mei & Mr. Gurmpyhead.
Human Companion: Mandy
Gender: Male
Clan: Lune Shui
Age: Twenty-Three
Personality: Quiet, dark, violent, revengeful.
Status: Not interested.
Family: Deceased.
Heritage: Xweetoks' of water element.
Birth place: A secret land of water where water element xweetoks thrive.
Element: Dark Water.
Powers: He can summon water from just about anywhere, but once the H20 is in his summoning grasp, it turns pitch black. He is also able to breathe beneath water for approximately, nine hours.

Mei is a quiet xweetok unless provoked and usually when he speaks, his words are threatening or hurtful. He is dark and does not tolerate anything. Mei also has great violent tendencies and will pick fights when he has a great thirst for the sight of blood. He will eat just about anything, but he's mainly carnivorous and feeds mostly of a variety of fish or any small land mammals. One thing about that though is, that if he notices his prey has children that need them, he will let it go. It's just about the only nice thing he will do and it will make sense once you read his past story. In fact, his entire personality is based off of past events. His violence, his like for blood, his thirst for vengeance, everything.
Mei will not fight females. He believes all females are weak and not worth fighting. Mei will stray away from females and other xweetoks, being he is not too social or trusting of others. His keeps his senses high and aware of his surroundings and always seems to be searching for something..

Each part of Mei's body is essential to him in their own ways. Allow me to explain.

EarsEars: His ears are really acute and he can pick up even the quietest sound. To prevent water from entering while he's underwater, the ear canals close off with a strong and special membrane. The only flaw is his hearing is extremely lessened underwater, but his ears are able to pick up sound of echolocation.
EyesEyes: Like most xweetoks, Mei will have two eyes, but differently colored. The reason being is that his right eye (the darker one) is blind. The blinding of the eye occurred back in his past(you will find out more later). As Mei grew, his other senses and his left eye became stronger although he does not have good twenty-twenty vision. Like his ears, a membrane covers his eyes when underwater, but this membrane is transparent allowing him to see with his one good eye.
FurFur: Ah. His fur. Beautiful colored with shades of blue and thick to keep him warm in the freezing waters, but thin enough that he can maneuver quickly through water while he chases fish for food. It has a beautiful shine in the light and Mei likes to groom his fur when no one is looking for fear of others believing he is weak.
LegsLegs: Mei has long slender legs that are well built and they have great force since they are often used for running and swimming. One kick is powerful enough to break bones, or just create a fracture depending on how strong his opponent is. Although I will not fight him in the battledome, he does easily make enemies in role-plays and that's when these legs are put into action; To injure or kill.
Mouth Nose and mouth: Mei's nose is quick to pick up scents and he can easily identify whether it's an enemy, a stranger, someone familiar or prey. He likes the smell of blood in particular. His mouth conceals sharp canines that can rip and tear through fur and skin of all types and his jaw is powerful enough to crack skulls. His teeth are mainly used for the killing and consumption of prey and will rarely use his teeth in battle.
PawsPaws: His paws are averaged sized. But don't let them fool you. His toes are webbed since he's a water element xweetok, so he can swim through water with ease. His toes contain retractable claws that Mei likes to keep sharp. These are often used in the hunting of prey and in battle.
TailTail: Last, but not least, Mei's tail. It acts as a propeller when running or swimming under water. It's long and gorgeous. Mei finds it annoying and in the way and useless, but he knows every part of him his there for a reason. He's recently begun to use his tail as a defense to shield himself from attacks. I guess it's not so useless after all. His tail can show emotion. When still, he is calm. When it's waving back and forth, he's annoyed. When it's waving quickly, something has caught his interest.

Mei? Mei, sweetheart wake up", a female voice said. A young, four year old MeiKouu opened his blue eyes and peered upon a large female xweetok, her fur a gleaming sky blue and her eyes a deep purple.
Mei stretched out his scrawny legs and yawned. Small white teeth reflected off some sunlight that was spilling in through the tunnel entrance. Mei stood up and stumbled a bit. The female held out her paw and rubbed Mei's flank.
Be careful. Don't get up too fast," she said.
Aw Mom. I'm fine," Mei replied. His mother smiled warmly then stood up on all fours.
Come on Mei. Your father and sister caught us some breakfast," she said while exiting the tunnel. Mei ran up to her side and looked at her with excitement on his face.
Really? What did they catch? A bunny? A squirrel? A goldfish?" Mei questioned. His mother gave a small giggle.
Sweetie. You know there's no such thing as goldfish," she replied.
Oh yeah," he mumbled. Mei then looked up and saw a large male xweetok. His fur colors composed of swirls of tan brown and sea blue and his eyes were the same color as Mei's. Beside him was a small young female xweetok. She resembled her father more than her mother. They both had a large silver fish lying on the ground before them with blood and puncture wounds from teeth on its neck. Upon seeing the fish, Mei galloped over to them and stared at the fish in awe.
Is this breakfast daddy?" he asked. The male smiled.
Yes it is. The best breakfast we've ever caught. Your sister helped," his father said. The xweetok beside him smiled.
Yeah. You could have helped. It was lots of fun. But you were to busy sleeping," She said then stuck her tongue out at Mei.
Now now. Don't tease your brother," their mother said.
Sorry Mom," Mei's sister replied. Their father looked down on his children smiling but noticed the fish was still in tact.
What are you guys waiting for? Dig in!," he said. The young xweetok kits turned and attacked the dead fish, tearing it apart with their teeth. Their father leapt over them as they ate and sat beside their mother, resting his head on her shoulder. Their mother smiled at him.
It was a picture perfect moment. A happy family together on a beautiful day. The sun was shining and the weather was perfectly warm. But a strong wind blowing through is bringing in dark clouds and an event young Mei will never forget.

A few hours later Mei and family were walking along a pebble path in a forest, heading for the pools. The parents walked behind the children, conversing among themselves while the kits were involved in a game of 'I spy'. Mei's mother suddenly stopped and sniffed the air. Mei's father stopped and looked back at her.
What's wrong?" he asked.
I smell a strange storm approaching," she replied.
Maybe we should go back home then and wait it out," Mei's father suggested. Mei and his sister stopped and looked back at them.
Aw do we have to?" Mei's sister whined.
Mooom. I've been waiting all day to swim. Please can we go," Mei begged.
You heard you're mother. Let's go home," Their father sternly said. Mei's sister thought a moment then remembered something.
Hey Mom. Didn't you just get over a cold?" she said. Mei was struck by his sister's idea and approached his mother.
That's right. Your nose was still stuffy yesterday. Maybe you just smelling things. I don't smell anything wrong," he said. Mei's mother thought a moment then smiled.
I guess you're right. Well then let's continue on to the pools," she said. The kits jumped with glee then raced each other through the forest. Mei's sister was ahead by a few feet.
Come on slowpoke. I see the bushes ahead. You can't beat me," she teased. Mei took the challenge and ran harder. He speeded past his sister and looked back at her with a smirk upon his face. Not paying attention to what lied ahead, Mei ran straight into the bushes, his upper body inside and his little rear end on the outside. His sister approached and laughed.
Haha! What a victory!" she giggled. Mei pulled himself out of the bushes and pounced at his sister. They sparred until their parents arrived.
Man you kids are fast," their father said.
Now now children. Stop fighting. Don't you want to go swimming? The pools are just beyond these bushes," their mother said. The kits leapt back on their feet and charged through the bushes and ran to the shore. They peered at the pools. It was a beautiful lake with twin waterfalls and smaller pools upon the rocks. The kits parents were close behind. Oddly, no one was here. Not a water xweetok around.
We have the pools to ourselves Mei!" the sister said with excitement.
Let's go!" Mei screamed. The kits sprang into the lake and dove underwater and began to play underwater tag. Their parents stood on shore, wondering about the desertion.
Do you think we're early?" the mother said.
Maybe. Or maybe something is going on that we haven't been informed about," the father said.
Let's just enjoy the serenity of our silent surroundings until the others arrive," the mother replied. The parents lied down upon shore conversing quietly.
The kits continued to play their game. Mei was it and chasing his sister. She swam into a corner but Mei was close behind. He lifted his paw and swiped at her arm, accidentally scratching her. She flinched then looked upset. She turned and swam to the surface to find her parents. Mei stuck his tongue out at her. What a baby he thought. He continued to swim beneath the surface then spotted a fish. He gave chase and the fish turned and swam away. Mei chased after the fish around every corner and rock. Then fish disappeared in some long sea grass. Mei approached the sea grass and pushed the blades aside. There was a small tunnel, one he can fit into. He swam inside looking around for the fish when something bright caught his eye. Curiosity got the best of him so he swam to whatever it was. When it came into sight he was filled with awe. It was a pearl larger than him with a multicolored shine. He reached for it when he felt a rumble. He looked back and saw a flash of light at the tunnel entrance. A storm was here. His mother was right. Mei turned and abandoned the pearl. He exited the tunnel and surfaced. Rain was falling in large amounts so heavy he couldn't see his parents upon the shore. There was a sudden shriek of terror that echoed through the storm. It was his sister.
Must be scared of the storm," he mumbled. Mei swam to shore and called for his parents. No reply. He wandered around when he saw strange shadow figures lying on the shore ahead. He approached it slowly and soon realized it was his parents.
How can they sleep during a storm? he thought.
Lightning ripped across the sky with a strange red light. Mei looked up at the clouds, blinking as raindrops hit his eyes. The clouds were the blackest he's ever seen. This was a strange storm. Mei then called for his parents again. They did not stir. Mei approached them and shook his father. No mutter or movement. Mei then looked at this paw. It was covered with blood. He looked down at his parents. Both were a bloody mess, but they did not lie in a pool of crimson for the rain washed it away. Mei felt his throat tighten.
Mom? Dad? What happened? Please wake up. Please!," he cried. Nothing. His parents were dead. He looked around for his sister while he cried but did not find her. Then he heard a strange noise coming from the pools. Mei was too scared to look. Instinctively, he ran home. Maybe his sister was there. Some minutes pass and he arrived at his tunnel in the ground. He ran inside, and found no sister. He lied there, soaked and sobbed to himself as the storm raged on. Hours pass and Azur was soon asleep. Silence. Mei twitched his ears, listening as he awoke. There was no sound of rain, or thunder. He opened his eyes and lifted his head. As he took in the surroundings, he realized he was not in the tunnel anymore, but beneath a rock in a wasteland. It was not a dream or an illusion. It was real. Since then, Mei traveled the lands, forever changed. Every night before as he slept, he dreamt of finding whoever killed his parents and slaughtering them and bathing in their blood. Enemies were found along the way, and Mei trained himself to fight and kill. He even got in a bad fight with a xweetok with strange abilities and cursed Mei with his blind eye.
Mei never really knew what happened to his sister, so he assumed she's dead. Years pass and now Mei is twenty-three. He stumbled upon the xweetok forest and it reminded him of his home somewhat. He hasn't left since, but he tries to stay away from others. MeiKouu has no family or friends, but he has found a new place to call home.
