Megafonts is a brand-new premade font site run by Mad. Mad has been making fonts for many years, and has personally used many of the fonts on this page. Megafonts promises to provide quality fonts, both premades and requests. You can also check out our "extras" section for font making tutorials and more.
February 28, 2012 So, they changed the filters again. I've been stubbornly hoping this mess would be reversed and my fonts would be fine again, but no luck. I'm in the process of converting all the fonts to work with the new filters now. I'll update again when I'm done, but for now, preview the fonts before using them, please.
February 6, 2012 Weird, the updates from yesterday didn't go through. Okay, so requests are closed now, because I want to focus on premades. If you really can't live without a font from Megafonts, neomail me and we can work something out. It'll probably be a while before I get to your request though.
All requests made before February 6 have been processed normally.
January 21, 2012 Sorry for the long wait on fonts and updates! I've been having computer trouble, so haven't been able to get on much. Font requests, etc. should be processed normally now.
January 7, 2012 I updated the layout, so it's not so pixely looking. It's also wider now, but I'm not sure how I like the wideness. I'd love to hear your input, so feel free to neomail me with comments or suggestions for the layout!

You may edit these fonts as much as you want, you may get them rated (though if the rater specifies "no premades" please respect their wishes), you can do whatever you want, but you must credit Megafonts.
Luckily for you, it's easy to copy and paste the codes for a link back button onto your userlookup.
Megalodon now offers requests! Send a form to zomgmad to request a custom font.

First, pick out a font. Make sure you have a Green Neoboard Pen activated if the font requires it. Have you found one you want to use? Good.
Now go to the Neoboard preferences page.
See those text bars labeled "NeoHTML" and "NeoSignature"? Make sure these are empty of any text or symbols. That's where you are going to paste the font code.
Click inside the first textarea under the font picture at Megafonts. Select all the text (CTRL+A), then copy it (CTRL+C).
Now navigate back to the Neoboard preferences page. It helps if you open the NB prefs page in a different tab or wind0w.
Click inside the text bar labeled "NeoHTML" and then paste (CTRL+V) the text you copied before.
Go back to Megafonts and click inside the second textarea. Select all the text (CTRL+A), then copy it. (CTRL+C).
Go back to the Neoboard preferences page. Click inside the text bar labeled "Neosignature" and paste (CTRL+V) the copied text.
Click Submit. Yay! Now you have a pretty new font. :)
Megafonts began as a plain page with codes of fonts Mad (zomgmad) had made. The page was just so Mad could access her font codes from multiple computers, though if people stumbled upon the page and wanted to use the fonts, that was fine.
Eventually, Mad added some requested fonts that she had made for friends or Neopians on the AC forum. The number of fonts grew, and Mad began to think about making a serious font site.
Mad continued to think about the potential for a premade font site. Since her Maraquan Grarrl, Megalodon, hosted the plain font page she already had, she decided to call her font site Megafonts. Megalodon graciously agreed to continue hosting the site, as long as he was featured in the layout. ;)
Today, Megafonts boasts a wide selection of fonts, sure to please any user. Mad is hard at work designing more fonts, and Megalodon is a gracious greeter to all visitors.
Green Neoboard Pens, also called NB pens, Neoboard Pens, pens, etc., are found in the NC Mall. They cost 300 NC (3 US dollars) and, when activated, give you 30 extra characters each for your NeoHTML and NeoSignature, 100 extra characters for posts on the Neoboards, and an extra slot to store a font, so you can easily pick which font you want to use when posting on guilds or the neoboards.
You can use more than one NB pen at a time, in fact many people do, but the extra character effect, is unfortunately not cumulative. You only get an extra font slot for your second pen and beyond.
You can buy a NB pen from the NC mall by searching "Green Neoboard Pen". You can also acquire a pen by trading NC with someone, or receiving a pen as a gift.
What are fontadoptables, you may be asking. Well, that's a good question. Fontadoptables are picture fonts of Neopet species, but they come in different colors matching the Neopet images. Using a fontadoptable font that matches your active pet looks especially neat. And you don't even need a NB pen to use one!
