We have always been the best, and that's why we're Diamonds. For as long as anyone can remember, it has been this way: the Diamonds at the top, literally, safe in our castle of clouds on the floating islands. While beneath our very feet the earth is teeming with Spades and Clubs, the air tainted with wings of the treacherous Hearts. The Diamonds, though, are the noblest of all dragons, hence our fittingly named suit.

For years the Diamonds lived in a quite bliss. After all, why was there any need to leave paradise? No one traveled outside of Delphi unless they were government officials, or cast out as the Hearts had been. But within the cloud laden walls was an oasis - everything was a soft hue of pink or blue, and even our skin was paper white like that of an albino's. Not much sunlight could penetrate Delphi, thus after years of confinement we lost all natural pigment. To compensate, strings of bright white lights were strung from tree to tree, bathing everything in a heavenly glow.
