Mara says 'Come in and take a look at our Snowball pile!
Welcome to the refrigerated section of our Safety Deposit Box. This is where we keep our big pile of battle Snowballs. Geecka and I get to play with them all day here. On this page you can see how many Snowballs of each kind we have and read where you can find us more.
My sister Sivle also has a category in the gallery, dedicated to all Snowballs, both battle and edible ones (but not petpets because they would get lonely there).
Geecka's little heap of edible Snowballs and Abominable Petpets is down below.
The latest new section tells you how to win at Snow Wars. Scroll down to find out how to get another gold trophy on your lookup (and win lots of Snowballs which you can donate to us)!
We reached 10,000 Snowballs on the 10th day of Running, Y9 (March 10, 2007).
During the month of Relaxing, Y9, our Snowball pile was featured on the Giving Tree!

Many thanks to all those who sent us Snowballs!
Mara says 'Snowballs can be found all over Neopia.
- The Water Faerie at the Healing Springs will sometimes give you a
or
Snowball.
- On Terror Mountain, a Snowball will sometimes be thrown at you in a Winter RE. The best chance of such REs is at the Advent Calendar. You can also find Christmas Paint Brushes and Icy Neggs there, so it is a good place to visit often, not just during the month of Celebrating.
- Taelia the Snow Faerie will reward you with neopoints, a random item, and a Snowball if you complete one of her quests.
- Progressively better Snowballs can be won at each level of Snow Wars. Look below for a winning strategy and tips.
- The Snowager has

Snowballs in its hoard of treasure. You can try to steal one when it sleeps from 6:00 to 6:59 NST, 14:00 to 14:59 NST and 22:00 to 22:59 NST.
- You can win Snowballs from Ice Caves Scratchcards.

and
Snowballs can be won from Deserted Fairground Scratchcards.
Snowballs can be won from Lost Desert Scratchcards.
- Be careful not to use
Snowballs in the Battledome because they can give your opponent the disease Hoochie Coochies. You can cure this disease with Hoochie Coochie Tablets.
- Since very few people actually use Snowballs in the Battledome, they can often be bought from shops for prices ranging from only 1 neopoint for the more common Snowballs to a few hundred neopoints for the rarer varieties. If you are a Neopets Premium member, you can use the Super Shop Wizard to snipe them easily.
Mara says 'Snow Wars is a fun game where you can win lots of Snowballs and a nice trophy.
- There are ten opponents. After beating each opponent you get two Snowballs, starting with two
Snowballs, then two
Snowballs, and so on until you get two
Snowballs with your gold trophy.
- Each game costs only 100 neopoints. Don't try to start a game if you don't have enough neopoints with you or you'll get reset to the first opponent.
- The first three opponents (The Scarf, Snow Man and Santa) are very easy to beat, so everyone can get at least a runner-up medal.
- In case you hadn't noticed yet, the two snowball piles are really one piece because they are always next to eachother, the smaller pile
above the larger one
.
- The next five opponents (Snow Cone, Happy Monkey, Evil Elf, Roboball and The Tree) are more difficult, but if you simply copy their shots, you should be able to beat them without much trouble and get your bronze and silver trophies.
- The final two opponents (Super Star and Tentar) are very hard. They must be cheating, because they can find out where your pieces are without guessing. There is a strategy that can win even from those two though.
- First, shoot in this pattern: F8 - B3 - E4 - A1 - D2 - E6 - A8 - B5 - C7 - F1
- Then, if you haven't found all your opponent's pieces yet, make more guesses. Go for the spots where rows and columns of question marks intersect first so you can find the cannon, catapult and snowball piles pieces as quickly as possible.
- Alternate those guesses with sure hits at the pieces you already found.
- As soon as you know where everything is, break off your pattern and finish hitting all the pieces.
- It still takes some luck to finish before Super Star and Tentar finish you off, but it shouldn't take too many tries with this strategy. After beating Tentar you get that nice shiny gold trophy.
- If you're getting bored waiting for the result of each shot, you can speed things up a little by clicking more than one question mark before the result page loads. Usually you can get up to four shots in that way. You only get to see the result of the last shot though, so be careful not to click more than twice (one sure hit and one guess) when every shot counts.
- Trivia: Snow Wars was released on the 16th of Storing, Y2, even before Terror Mountain was announced on the 22nd and released on the 24th.
