Welcome. I am Mantophasmatodeus. Say that three times fast. Since Mantophasmatodeus (I LIKE my name=D) is pretty long, you can call me Manto, if you like. I guess you could call me Deus, too, but no-one ever does. Too bad *grin*

Anyway, this is me:

As you can see, I'm an Island Ruki. That's what I alway wanted to be, though others told me I would rather look like a girl -_-

I am Last's favourite pet (though she loves the others as well) and of all her pets who still are on her accounts, I have been with her for the longest time. In fact, I was the second pet she created, but her first one, a Lupe, is now with one of her friends.

We are really a big family, but most of us aren't related with one another. Many of them came to us one day and stayed. I like all of them, but only have a few true friends among them.

You may wonder why I have green feelers though I am an Islandruki? Well, on Christmas Eve Last gave me the paintbrush I had wanted for so long time. I was reallly excited and painted myself from head to toe... yeah, only from head to toe, I forgot the feelers. When I realised it, it was much to late and I couldn't change it anymore. But I'm ok with it, that way I still have something green around ;)

I am named after a recently discovered insect order, the gladiators. Lats likes insects very much and has some as real life pets. Deathshead Cockroaches=D I think, they are cute, but sadly they are too small to play with.

Last gave him to me so I would never feel lonely. He's a great friend andcomes with me anywhere I go.
He love chewing big bones and everytime I catch one when I go underwater fishing, I give it to him. He also likes me playing on my ocarina for him.

	Last She's my owner and one of my best friends. I know, no matter what I do, she'll always stay with me. Except... when I said I was going to put a picture of her on my petpage she said she would kill me if I did. O_o I better not dare to...
Laula She's just like a little sister to me. I loved her from the very first moment she came to us and I'll always take care of her. Together we explore Neopia, make new friends and have a lot of fun.
	Yendho A great friend an someone to really rely on. He came to us long time ago and we became true friends though we have not much in common.
Berry Laula and I met him in the Haunted Woods. His real name means 'Creature of the Night' but because of his love to Berries his nickname is Berry. It's always fun to have him around :)
	Aska He might look a bit rejecting if you meet him for the first time, but he has a heart of gold. And the heart of an adventurer, too.

I also collect Half-Eaten Berries. I really love them and want to have at least 20 000. You think I'm crazy? Maybe, but I don't care. By now I have about 2000 Berries. 18 000 to go=D

Finally I collect everything that catches my eye (and is not too expensive for Last to buy *cough*). These items are in my gallery, too, in the category Things I love- )

Stories:

Silently the leaves under Manto's feet rustled as he carefully made his way through the eternal gloomy thicket of the Haunted Woods. Closely behind him a small Kougragirl, Laula, of course. They had often been here and even if it were somewhat spooky the Haunted Woods belonged to their favourite places. But still they avoided to direct unnecessary attention on them. One could never know what was hiding in the shades. Even Shiriki knew by now that he had to be more quiet than usual.
While they approached the Game Graveyard their steps became even slower and their movements more careful. Laula came closer to Manto and adhered by his side while he put a hand on the dagger in his belt. They had not often entered the Haunted Woods this far. From everywhere came quiet, uncanny noises and Laula and even Manto twiched more than once. They continued their way untill the thicket suddenly revealed the view of a large clearing full of old, weathered gravestones. The three stopped.
Are there really ghosts?", Laula whispered.
Manto peered to the cemetery. Spooky stories he had heard many but whether they were true or not he could not say. He was about to calm down Laula as suddenly tiny little claws bored into his armour. He turned around and looked into two grey, blank eyes that stared greedyly at him. Leathern wings hit him and claws slipped over his arm. Full of panic he took a step backwards, tripped over Shiriki and fell on a gravestone. While he was falling he saw a brown and grey shadow flying over him, turning against the aggressor. For a few seconds he lost his consciousness as his head hit the stone, but the thought of his little Laula being in danger made him stand up again. Hectically he looked for his dagger but he could not find it so he grapped a branch and tried to drive away the shadow that was fluttering around Laula's head. All of a sudden the creature rushed at manto, seizing his bag and making Manto lose his equilibrium again. While Manto tried not to fall down again the creature took something out of his back and flew to the top of a nearby tree. Distrustfully Manto looked after it while he went back to Laula.
Are you hurt?", he asked her.
Laula shaked her head.
No. What... was that?". Her voice was trembling and she nestled to Manto's leg.
I don't know." Manto looked for Shiriki.
It stole some of our food. I think it was a Loveberry. Mysterious.
He looked at the tree but could not see the creature anymore.
Shiriki!" Manto called his Petpet and one moment later it appeared behind a gravestone, Manto's dagger in his mouth and still intimidated by the creature. Manto took his weapon and placed it in his belt again.
But it seems like it's gone after it got what it wanted. We should build our camp before it gets dark.
Laula agreed an after they found a good place they collected wood for the fire and made soft beds of dry leaves. The shock about the encounter faded more and more and soon the three sat around the fire, laughing and joking like ever until they went to sleep.

Around midnight Laula awoke because of a strange sound. She looked around. Manto was still sleeping an she drew nearer to him. Then she became motionless. Bowed over Manto was the creature that had attacked them in the afternoon. It was surrounded by a slightly glowing aura. Suddenly it glared at Laula. Seconds became hours while Laula wished that Manto would wake up. If he was only fine! Finally Laula could not bear to wait any longer and attacked the creature as strong as she could. The "ghost" crashed into a trunk and remained motionless on it's root.
This noise made Manto wake up and before he knew what was going on Laula almost squeezed him. Her heart was racing and though he did not know the cause of her fear he embraced her and waited until she calmed down to tell him.
After he had heard what had happened he looked to the little creature under the tree. Carefully he approached it and when he was near, he saw that it wasn't a ghost but a Ghost Korbat who had frightened them so much. manto wondered, if it was hurt and took it carefully back to the fire. He layed it down on his bed and sprinkled its foreehead with a bit water. The Korbat opened it eyes and looked anxious at Manto and Laula.
Who are you?" Manto asked.
I... I'm Nachtgestalt." the Korbat stuttered.
Why did you attack us?"
Manto began to feel sorry for the little pet.
I didn't want to hurt you. I was so hungry, I just wanted something to eat."
Now the Korbat almost started crying. Manto and Laula were surprised.
Why didn't you just ask us?" Laula asked.
Nachtgestalt looked at her. "No-one gives away anything. Only the strongest will survive.
Manto set down besides the Korbat. He took a Blue Bomberry out of his bag and gave it to Nachtgestalt.
Where we come from, people help each other. You don't have to be afraid of us. You frightened us, you know.
The Korbat smiled and sank his pointed teeth into the Berry. Laula sat down besides them and put her wing around Nachtgestalt who stiffened.
Don't worry, Nachti. You really don't need to be afraid of us. You can stay with us for a while if you want to."
She didn't need to ask Manto, she knew he would agree. The Korbat looked happily from one Pet to another. Even Shiriki seemed to like him since he laid down just over Nachtgestalt's little feet. The Korbat ate his berry, then he nestled to Laula. The night was still long and while the silvery moon continued his way over the spooky Forest three Pets and one Petpet slept peacefully besides the fire; Shiriki in Manto's arm, Nachtgestalt save under Laula's wing.
