Under the moon all is silent, the blackness of the night seems unphased by the alabaster sphere. All one can hear is the wind, faint and nearly undetectable. From the darkness a small figure appears, her dark indigo fur is broken by a dark midnight azure mask and a similar hue in her tail and on the tips of her flight feathered wings. From her mask trails a magnificent cloth, the tip seems huen of pure gold woven into cloth. Her eyes are blood crimsion, they peer at you. What is most chilling is not her appearence but, the emptyness. Her eyes are devoid of any emotion, her heart incapable of any feeling. What could happen to one to turn them this way? She remains silent.
.::The Process::.
She was born into what seemed to be a kind family, with two brothers and two sisters. Her eldest brother was the only one she could tolerate, she was born to the name
Lycantheropa but soon favored the name of her own creation,
Rea. Her parent told her repeatedly not to use the name, it was an abomination. This could only spur the young blood crimson forward. Aloof and aggressive her kin soon started avoiding her, just as she pleased. Far supirior to her kin in cunning and trickery why did she need any of them? Her lithe form gave her speed and agility, smaller then the other she was able to get away with ease and deter any thoughts of attack they might have had. Her life might have gone normal where it not for several factors that would shatter her very spirit.
It was a cold and snowy morning when the first sign of trouble arose. Rea was a year old now, not quite fully grown but not as small as a pup. She kept her lithe and small frame, it was favorable to her so she trained herself to be kept that way. Her eldest brother was somewhat scrawny but he was the largest of them all. Now the two avoided each other. Rea it could be said had come to resent her family. Wanting to leave the territory, to become more then she was. She awoke alone, it wasn't her solitary awakening that first caused suspicion. It was the lack of noise that tipped her off. At the time she thought little of it, maybe the rest had finally figured out that she wanted less then nothing to do with them. She rose and krept out of the self-made burrow. The sun was no where to be seen in the sky, heavy storm clouds lingered above. It would snow again, and soon. She looked around and still no sign. A stentch lingered in the air, like a fire but much dirtier. Out of couriocity she followed it, the sight that would unfold would be scarred into her memory and haunt her until everything changed. She saw her parents, father and mother just watching as her two sisters and brother where attacked by humans. Long metal bars with loops at the end teathered them. Only her eldest was able to escape, he spotted her and lunged after her. "Run Rea!" He called shoving her forward. She snarled and took a route away from him. Their parents must have seen this for they lunged after the two. The sire went after Rea, the dam went after her eldest kin. The male she had as a sire bit down hard into her hind flank, causing agony to shoot through her leg. He would have torn her leg out where it not for the intrusion of one that would become an important figure in her life. A wolf leapt from the brush, his grayish brown fur had allowed him to seem invisible. The male lupe let out a snarl of out rage and retreated, the wolf is much larger then he.
Exactly who are you, and what are you? Rea demanded at the stranger, the wolf's yellow and amber eyes looked her over. "I am a wolf, and my name is ViolentSpirit. What are you, and who are you? And why was that, thing attacking you?" Rea seemed to size him up before replying,
I am a lupe and my name is Rea. The conversation may have continued where it not for the snarling. Both Rea's dam and sire where after her now, she looked at Violent spirit and they both pelted forward. They had an unspoken agreement. He seemed to make sure to remain at least a step behind her, this only annoyed her. They soon came to an abrupt halt, a deep cut in the ground is what stopped their escape. A periless ravine with white water rapids and rocks far below. The two lupes still came from behind. They where soon joined by Rea's eldest brother, Lyropth. There was no other option but to jump. ViolentSpirit leapt first he landed easily at the other side. Lyropth wanted her to go next but she refused, Lyropth cleared the other side. Rea leapt, she saw everything as if in slow motion. She was almost there when suddenly a huge weight crashed down upon her. Pushing her down. He sire gripped her hind leg in his mouth. The two plummeted for what felt eons, he struggled, thrashing uselessly about in the air. Rea was still, she couldn't fathom that her life was about to end. It had hardly begun. It wasn't fair. She hit the water with force broken slightly as her sire hit first. The rocks beat against her helpless form. The merciless current and indifferent rocks tossed her to and fro until finialy her concious was broken and everything around her faded to nothing. . .
Awake dear child, it is yet your time. Slowly a creature became aware of it's existance, the main system of it's mind slowly started to reboot and load old and new data. Slowly, it realized it had gender. She slowly opened her now blood crimson eyes. A mask she now adorned along with a dark indigo pelt and wings of an owl also a deep indigo. Her entire body was numb. "Hey, you okay?" A familiar voice asked, concerned. It was ViolentSpirit from before. Rea's gaze turned suspicious, he explained how he had come to find her on the river bank. He shuttered and at first was reluctant to reveal all the gorey details but eventually she got him to reveal them.
What did you do to me? She demanded frustrated, looking at herself. "Why I saved you, it wasn't your time to die." She asked over and over how he knew who's time it was and when it would occur to no avail. He refused to tell her, "Join me in my search for my ancestor and you will see."
Well, it didn't take long for the two to hit it off, well after ViolentSpirit had gained many a scar from a strike from Rea's sharp fangs. They traveled to the far reaches of the world only to choose to inhabit a temple in the desert. It would be a choice Rea would be forced to deal with. The desert would bid her good-bye with the same as the mountains, with death, loss, and sorrow. Rea gave birth to three pups. The desert was violently hot that year, food was scarce and the oldest pup, Kahev, was forced to eat her kin to survive. The loss of those pups and the bare fact that her dear Lyrpi had to feed off of them hit Rea deep. She would not show the despair that ate at her insides, it was irrelevant. It seemed that it hurt ViolentSpirit more then it even bothered her. She couldn't afford to lose strength. ViolentSpirit would often look at her with misery and hope, she never quite understood what was going on.
Kahev left them when she was two years of age, far old enough to leave her parent's sides. The pup was affected deeply, scarred for her life for what she later would blame them for. Rea and ViolentSpirit traveled to another forest, it was bright and gleeful. ViolentSpirit turned upon her, he asked her if she could feel anything at all. She snarled but remained silent. Anger and hate building up inside of her. Later, she would regret ever hating him as she did that moment. Later the two would go their sperate ways, or so they thought. Little did they know how entwined thier future's where.
A few years later a solitary Rea would find herself in that very forest once again. She wandered with no purpose nor reason. Indifferent to the world, though mostly she grew to hate it. The forest was silent but somehow managed to remain cheery. She found herself face to face with a phantom, a creature to this day she cannot recall. It attacked and she was losing, tossed like a ragdoll. It wasn't that she didn't try to fight back, it was some sort of deity or ghost so her efforts proved futile. "Leave her alone! Take me guardian! Take me!" The voice of the male wolf rung out, he lunged at it. Rea could only stand by and watch as the thing first gutted ViolentSpirit. His golden amber eyes stared blankly at her. As it slowly tore him limb from limb. Rea was aware she had fallen at some point but it didn't fully register in her mind when. Everything was gone, she had watched her daughter die to a group of human hunters, her chosen partner whom she had sworn eternal hatred and given his life for her. Her insides felt like they where twisting, everything... it was just too much... she couldn't live with all of this. Old pains flared up, and not just mental. Then it was all gone. She blinked, she wouldn't have to live with it. Why should she? She rose to her feet, her mind blocking out all pain both mental and physical. Her very mortality seemed to vanish that day. The creature's eyes changed from ebony to silver. Rea spread her wings and charged at it, it retreated with whispers of regret. She stalked it down and destroyed it.
Rea is no vampire and often lingers in her own reality, mysteriously she has no resembolence to a soul. She feels no love, nor hate. For one cannot exist without the other, and with neither there are none. No one is close to this creature, with faint instincts to guide her she has nothing more to lose. She has died and lost all hope, now, an empty being wanders in her place. Never to be Rea again. . .
