Luikar got their homepage at Neopets.com

I can't write good intros, and everybody seems to hate them anyway, so let's just pretend there's some masterfully written paragraph about how you wound up lost in the woods (feel free to substitute something less horribly cliche) and met Luikar here. Yes, that's right, I'm going for the type of petpage where for some contrived reason you're meeting the character and asking them questions you probably wouldn't actually ask. I wanted to do first-person narratives, alright? xD

Appearance: Luikar is a small, gangly-looking Draik, just on the cusp of an awkward teenage growth spurt. He still retains a good amount of his baby fat and youthful formlessness, though, and his wings are still tiny and utterly useless. He is covered in tattoos, all of which have deep, significant meaning (to him and his family, at least). Overall, he is not a formidible presence, though he does have one dangerous feature: his tail. Surprisingly muscular and weighty, it is covered in large spikes and can cause serious injury if swung at a foe.
Personality: Undyingly optimistic and full of energy. While he is old enough by now to tell what is possible and what isn't (such as, say, going to the moon), he seems to ignore all this and strives for the impossible anyway. He puts on a show of being big and tough, though he's honestly rather pathetic, and he knows full well if it ever came down to a fight, pretty much anything could beat him. Has a strong belief in destiny and fulfilling the prophecy announced at his birth, even though he's far too young to be living alone.

Age: Died at 22, spirit has been around for over 300 years
Marital Status: Single; Luikar sort of gets in the way of dating
Appearance: Sporys can alter his (well, Luik's) appearence at will, but when in control, he generally reverts to the body he had when he was alive. Unlike Luikar, his old body is bipedal and well-built, with large, muscular wings. When Sporys does not wish to completely change himself, he usually changes Luikar's eye color and removes the tattoos to signify that he is in control. He also feels uncomfortable sporting Luikar's tattoos because of their meaning to him.
Personality: Dry, sarcastic, and somewhat world-weary, but underneath his apathetic exterior is a fiery, passionate personality. He is easily brought to anger or fear, and wants to be in control of every situation. He has still not completely come to terms with the fact that he is dead.

Story Summary
Luik was born to a rather primitive tribe of Draiks. Since he was born exactly one year after the death of the tribe's last hero, the shaman of the tribe proclaimed Luikar to be the new hero. A complex prophecy was written, and for every piece of it, he was given a representative tattoo. Luikar believed that he was a hero, until he was unable to save his younger brother from drowning. Deeply upset, he ran away.
While wandering in the woods alone, he disturbed the remains of Sporys, a Draik who had died centuries ago. Sporys was killed at a young age, and because of this his spirit had still clung to his body, angry that he was denied the rest of his life. When Luik came, his spirit awakened and took over the young Draik. He reformed the body to mirror his own, and had full intentions of living out the rest of his (probably immortal) life in this stolen form. However, his consience got to him, and after realizing he was doing the same to Luikar what fate had done to him, he relinquished the body to Luik.
Luikar has no idea that Sporys had darker intentions, and firmly believes that Sporys is there to help him on his quest to become a mighty warrior. Sporys, meanwhile, simply lurks in the back of Luik's mind, offering occasional advice and taking over when Luikar is in serious danger (which is often). He wants Luikar to live out a long, full life, and only when he is close to dying will Sporys take over the body and live his own. At least, that's his plan. He tends to take a more active role in Luik's life thna he means to, and finds himself growing attached to the naive little thing.
