What we are all about

Thank you for stopping by the webbie for Kids at Heart! Kids at Heart is a neo-related, 17+ guild. As adult neopets players we are inherently kids at heart, however we do expect our boards to be more mature and drama free than the teeny bopper guilds. That being said, we do play neo to get away from the real world so come here to have some fun! Our main goal is to chat and make friends with other adult neopians. (Word of caution, beware the purple elephant!) The rules are very laid back though obviously we require you to follow all neopets site rules. There will be absolutely NO contests, giveaways, or prizes of any kind. For this reason there will be NO "donation shop". There will be no reason for the guild to raise funds around here. If someone wishes to send surprise gifts that is their choice and will obviously have to be personally funded. Like what you hear so far? The links to the left will give you more information.

Ranks

Learn more about the ranking system in the guild

Current guild ranks are based on activity. Lazy at Heart, Newbie at Heart, Gamer at Heart, Fun at Heart, and Chatty at Heart. The guild council members get to pick their own titles! There are no set in stone rules for ranking up, just the following guidelines.

Be active! That just means posting on the message board. No one around to chat with? Maybe head over to the guild boards and recruit!

Recruiting will also help you move up in rank. Just be sure you are recruiting members that fit our 17+ requirement. Helping bump an existing recruiting board also counts for this.

Be friendly and helpful. Maybe a new member joined and you helped them feel welcome. Maybe a guild member had a neo question that you helped them find the answer. You get the idea.

Participate or host activities.Activity hosts work hard on having something fun to do for the members. So we do appreciate your participation and will acknowledge that when upgrading ranks.

Council Positions: These will not be given to just anyone. You have to prove that you are active and dedicated to the guild. See guidelines above. Council does have the additional requirement to read back posts daily so that they know what is going on in the guild. Exceptions will be made for vacations and such. Helping with layouts/graphics, hosting activities, helping recruit, etc. will all be considered highly when choosing a council member. IF you cannot keep up with the active requirements once you get on council, you will be removed so that someone more active can have the opportunity. No position is open currently, but as real life always gets to folks, there will be one open in the future.

Activeness Requirements: Kids at Heart is laid back and realizes that everyone has lives outside of neo. As of right now we are only deleting inactives with little to no posts if they have parked there for awhile. We have some members that may have been gone for awhile but they were important active members at one time so we keep them in so that we can catch up with our friends if and when they do return.

How to join

Since the guild is private, you will need to ask for an invite to join. Most of the guild folks you see out there recruiting will have invite powers. If you can't find anyone who is around, neomail bridaltj and I will get you in as soon as I can :) By asking for an invite you are agreeing that you are at least 17 years old.
