Secrets of a Story

It's said that when you're little, nothing but a child, one's life is carefree and a happy one.

But sometimes, that's not always how it works.
Sometimes, one is born into the world not out of love, or lust, or of anything else.
What would you do if you were only alive because custom dictated that you had to exist, and nothing more?
What would you do if your parents cast you away and ignored you?

Ever since the beginning, it's been dreary.
They never loved me.
They never smiled at me.
They never showed me any affection.. nothing but a steely glare.

I had to be there, because that was the way things went.
I tried again and again to be accepted by my folks, but no --
They had nothing to give me, even when I was their flesh and blood.
But I still tried, desperately crying out for attention, naive to their hatred..
And I never understood why.
Why did they treat me like that?

I was too young, too innocent to know why.

That is, until the first snow that I had ever seen had fallen.
Drifting, falling gently over my hometown.
I recall playing and laughing as I ran through the powder, the few happy emotions that I could remember from those days.
But they sure didn't last long.

As I began to build a snowman, there was a flash and a shriek:
And the snow turned crimson red.

The last words my mother said to me..
You should have never been born.

Turns out that bolt of magic was intended for me, and mother dearest was caught in the crossfire.
That event sure snapped my life into perspective.

That changed everything, and from there on, I walked my own path.

Anatomy Analayis

Zelos' kind, being a subspecies of the Tethe'allan Wolf, are devoloped for agility and beauty.
Though, since they're fairly exotic, they aren't commonly bred nor seen, and they aren't the best pets due to their temperment; therefore, they're mostly a wild breed.
They tend to resemble wolves with elegant, greyhound-like figures, though some have thick fur rather then coarse, slick fur.
Having rather long, thin, but nevertheless sturdy legs, Zelos runs in the fashion of a cheetah, being able to sustain speeds of 30 mph for up to an hour, and 70 mph in short bursts.
His figure reflects this, too; his long fur makes him look larger then he is, hiding his muscles and giving him an overall feminine appearance. His fur folds neatly against him when he runs, giving him the sleek look that most of his kind have.

If confronted, he has the strength to deal out strong blows along with the grace so he can dance nimbly out of range moments later. His silver claws can retract, like a cat's, and they're sharp enough to draw blood-- however, he prefers to use his breath-fire to devastate his enemies.
In terms of color, Meltokion Wolves tend to be all sorts of colors, mostly warm ones. Zelos lives up to this, though his color scheme is a rare one.
He's mostly a light strawberry color, with white "stockings" on his back legs that start at his knees and go down from there. A pink "cape" starts at the base of his neck and lasts to the tip of his tail, with some zig-zag marks and a curling mark on each hind leg; gold edges this odd coloration.
His chest is black, which turns to white at his belly, giving his underside different shades compared to the rest of him. The back of his head is a crimson color, ending where the pink and gold begins at his shoulders. One single white streak edges the fronts of his ears and goes across his forehead, giving the impression of a headband.

All of this, combined with his gentle gait and graceful figure, makes him look very much like a girl from a distance.
Calling him one just infuriates him, though.

Personality Analayis

Words don't describe Zelos on their own.
He's very complex when it comes to emotions and thoughts, so to say.
Very complex, very hard to understand; everything he does has a meaning or reason, though he won't say anything about why or how.
Generally, he has a sense of lazy aloofness to him. His sense of humor is rather adult and dark, and sometimes it takes a sharp mind to get his tricky jokes.
Though mostly, his words are eloquent and well-picked, flowing with his body language and movements. His habit of being silkily-voiced is probably what he utilizes the most, twirling it together with his wistful moves.
All together, it's what makes up his charm, his very way of garnering attention and holding it tight.

Also very prideful, Zelos thinks very highly of himself.
If offended in any way or form, he normally just brushes it off.. but if things go too far and get him angry, he is quick to assert his role as the alpha.
He may be sweet and alluring, but another thing he's worked on is to get people to break underneath him.
It's only natural: his self-confidence is polished and as is his stubborn, hard-headed resolve.
If he wants something, he'll definitely get it.

Though he can be very arrogant and haughty, Zelos does have a kind side -- mostly towards girls, seeing as he's not exactly comfortable around guys (or so he says).

However, this is just one of his hobbies: his heart is really quite a closed-off thing, and getting true affection from him is very limited.
If any of those that he captures under his spell try to pursue anything more then dilly daydreams, he is quick to dispose of such emotions.
In honesty, he doesn't exactly try to start relationships, but the public is not aware of this, and therefore, this keeps happening, and he breaks hearts without really trying.

Towards those he doesn't care about, he will contently lie and break his promises, because they don't matter to him as long as he gets something out of it.
It's to be expected, because the pink-furred wolf has power in spades, and he does many things to get his work done..
Whatever his work is.
It, like countless others, is a secret he holds close to himself.

As long as you're around him, keep your wits about you and be polite, because he'll return the courtesy if he receives kindness.
But just be careful. Zelos is very reknowned for his fickle, tricky attitude.

Friends + Allies

I've had a ton of friends over the years, though they've all come and gone. Most of them are just aquaintances from Meltokio or Sybak, but I've lost touch.
I don't have many buddies, but here's the list of the current!

Myiliki.. aw man, she's a darling hunny.
Truly one of my best friends.
So timid and quiet, even I don't know how I came to befriend her.
I dunno, there's something I found in her that was different. Was it that blind loyalty and friendship? Was it that importance that she claimed I had to her?
Unlike the others, she didn't squeal over me and chase after me in the worst way.. but instead watched me with those gentle eyes and followed me, wanting nothing but friendship.
I'm lucky to have bumped into her.

..I need more friends, darn it.

A Sibling?

Well.. this is my half-sister, Seles. It's kinda awkward talking about her, because we've never really been on good terms.
But she's important to me. I remember a long time ago, when we were children, when she would be the only one to play with me in those dark times.

...darnit, Seles, why are you doing this? Why are you messing around in affairs you shouldn't be touching?
Just because I'm one, doesn't mean you should be..
I just.. don't want to believe it.
You might say you understand what you've gotten yourself into, but no, you don't.

This is not is this a deal you want to make, trust me.
But you went through with it, shrugged off my warnings, and now..

I won't be able to protect you any more if you keep this up.
