The story behind "The Nightmare Form":A few years ago Little Dragon fell ill to the common flu. When she was given the medication to cure the virus a rare gene in her activated and caused a horrific transformation. This transformation only occurs when she is exposed to penicillin. She will stay in this form from hours to days (depending on the dose). Eventually when the penicillin is out of her system she begins to revert to her old self. Dragon calls this form "nightmare form" because she looses her sight, is in constant pain, and becomes lethargic. The rare gene that causes the nightmare form is called the drǽɡənbláind gene. This gene was inherited from one of Dragon's ancestors. Normally, drǽɡənbláind is harmless and found in a few different species of dragons. But in a few dragons (such as Dragon's parents) they both carried the drǽɡənbláind plus her mother carried another rare gene called péintáiərd. With the combination of both parents carrying drǽɡənbláind and the mother carrying péintáiərd causes the syndrome that LittleDragon calls Nightmare form when the body is introduced to penicillin.
