A whisper, a word. Sometimes, it all seems the same. No matter how quiet, or how loud, your intentions are often the same: to be heard by someone. Not always a specific person, and sometimes, it's quite the opposite. You want no one to hear your words but one specific person. As you whisper your words of dedication and trust to your partner, you realize how flimsy a word can be. They are rarely recorded, and when they are, you can still pick your words carefully, meaning for only some to even understand the meaning, let alone hear them.

Sometimes, you might tell a white lie to help a friend. Or sometimes, you use words to bend the will of others, and hurt and abuse. Oftentimes, one can be held guilty at their actions, and even more so with the speach they once spoke.

Dialogue is an important part of everyday life, but even more so in mine...

I was born into a family that while was not a rich sort, was well off enough. We were happy, my mother, father, and younger brother. Our family was one of an old, ancient bloodline, and the offspring tended to possess interesting abilities. Some were simple things, like being able to understand other people's emotions better, and sometimes they possessed a small amount of control over an element. Their abilties varied, and mine was one that rarely came up. The ability to do magic.

I read the old texts, delving into the information, and absorbing everything at an amazing rate. By the time I was thirteen, I was moving onto more complicated spells, and understanding the language that was used to utter them in.

I worked under a wise zafara who went by the name of Anguis Aleron, which roughly translated from Latin, meant 'dragon eagle.' He possessed the power to grow birdlike wings on his back, and had mild control over the air element. He taught me many things, how to cast spells, but mostly how to be a good person. We often spoke in riddles, trying to trick one another into guessing incorrectly. At first, I was quite poor at the game, but after a while, I improved. I read fact books, taking in any sort of odd facts that might help me. What I didn't know what that this was exactly what he wanted me to do. Read, learn, and grow.

I soon began calling him Damon, 'loyal friends,' as he certainly was. He taught me all he knew, even when he reached his deathbed, when I was the age of seventeen. Following his death, I began roaming the lands, in search of new writings, and a new teacher. I still continue to.
