Heya, guest! My name is Lillaray, and I am a purple Acara. I'm very smart and cute and talented and friendly and a good Neopet. My owner is Taradith.

My siblings are both Acaras! Which is good, because I love Acaras! Twovee is a Maraquan Acara who is happy to be a hideous monster, but didn't much like being turned into a girl by the lab ray. Tulty used to be a Shoyru a long time ago; I think his petpage still has his Shoyru story. But now he's an Island Acara! Yay! My cousin is Nillaray, who is now a Plushie Acara. She pretends to have a British accent.

This page used to be about how great I was, but I decided to make an even better page, about how great my whole species, the Acara, is! Isn't that nice of me? So I'm going to try to tell you some Acara history now, since we Acaras love history (and we live a long time so we remember a lot). All right? Tell me if you're getting bored.

Of course, the most famous Acara is Princess Fernypoo. She helped Brucey B. get his Lucky Coin back and helped discover The Lost Desert! If you're pretty good at Cheat, you can even play against her.

I've beaten her a few times.

Princess Fernypoo is also famous for her temper tantrums. In fact, some explorers wait outside of the Cheat hall in case Princess Fernypoo has a temper tantrum. They figure the explosive force caused by her yell might be just enough to break open a whole new land in Neopia!

I heard Princess Fernypoo's father is King Frastair. But I've never seen him. He's probably hiding, afraid of making Princess Fernypoo angry. So I don't even know if he's an Acara or not!

Once I saw Princess Fernypoo in a big parade. I guess she likes getting attention!

Professor Chesterpot is an Acara scientist and adventurer, but I don't know much about him. They say he discovered Maraqua, the first time. (I've heard it might be coming back someday...) Anyway, he's a looooot older than I am! And he has brown eyes, which is unique, because almost every Acara has blue eyes.

I haven't met Professor Chesterpot yet, but I wrote him a letter asking him to come study Twovee, so maybe he will.

The Acara Twins, Astrid and Ajay, are famous too. They're blue, just like Princess Fernypoo and Professor Chesterpot. I don't know why only blue Acaras get famous...

If you read their story you'll know they're a little silly. It's a lot like the grown-up story "Gift of the Magi," but I don't think O. Henry ever met an Acara, so he's not very interesting.

Then there's Senator Barca. She's the only Desert Acara I've ever seen. She was great friends with Coltzan III, and now works to keep the citizens of the Lost Desert healthy. Like most Acaras, she's a little vain, but she has a lot to be proud of. She's the reason they have clean water in the Lost Desert! AND, she's not even blue! She's my hero, even though I've never been lucky enough to meet her.

Vira is a very famous Acara, who was too vain, and paid a terrible, terrible price for it. I can't put a picture of her here; I'm kind of scared of her. But you can read about her here. Just please, please, PLEASE don't look in any of her mirrors!

Narila is in a Lenny Conundrum (#32). She's a yellow Acara who got rich on the stock market. I hope all Acaras get rich on the Stock Market!

There's also an Acara who works in construction, but I forgot her name. She's green. I met her when she was building my Neohome! (Well, okay, I let Tulty and Twovee live there too.)

And the last famous Acara is....ME! Well, maybe not yet, but someday I'll be famous, don't you think? Lillaray, the renowned Acara historian? Lillaray, the President of the Acara Society? Lillaray, strongest Acara in the whole universe? Lillaray, owner of the biggest Neomansion in all of Neopia?

Hopefully I'll be all of those, even though it might take a year or two.

Most people don't know much about the Acaras as a species, either...hey, I'll tell you, okay?

Well, actually, Cappucinobear already researched the Acara very well in this article.

But we Acaras have had three different looks until we finally became the cutest Neopet ever. At first I guess we were even called Tigren, but then we changed our name to Acara, which sounds much better. Otherwise we'd probably get in fights with Kougras, anyway.

Some people ask if the things on our heads are horns or tentacles. Aside from Maraquan Acaras like Twovee, they are most definitely horns. Look at Vira, and plus there's an item called Acara Horn Guards.

Acaras love to swim! We have an Aquatic Festival on the 28th day of Relaxing! We're such good swimmers we can go underwater for 20 minutes and not come up for air (except for Maraquan Acaras, of course!). But we can't breathe underwater so we have to come up sometimes.

Wild Acaras live underground near the water, in big cities. But we tame Acaras are happy to have our own room in a really really big Neohome. (We love having big bath tubs in our Neohomes, though!)

In case you haven't figured it out yet, Acaras and Aishas are two very different species. I know we both come in Maraquan forms and we're both popular and cute pets, but keep us straight!

Here's a rhyme so you can remember who's who.

Twovee says it's an awful rhyme.

But Tulty and Taradith say at least it will make you remember how to pronounce Aisha! ...wait, that's not what I wanted to do!!!

So, why should YOU join the millions of Neopians who already own the world's best Neopet? Well, Acaras are adorable, strong, smart, good at history, wonderful at swimming, and we like dry land too, so you can take us anywhere! We have a lot of confidence in ourselves, so we'll never let you down in the Battledome. (Well, unless you're a really bad trainer and don't teach us how to fight. So if we lose it's your fault.

)

We love our owners, and we get along well with other Neopets. You can always give us lots of attention and we'll almost never say, "Leave us alone! That's enough!" because we love when you play with us. We're not really picky eaters, but we'll never ever eat your petpets or valuable items like some other popular Neopets (::cough::Grarrl ::cough::) will. We have really really big ears, so we can hear you if you call for help, even if you're twenty miles away! And we can run on four feet really really fast to rescue you.

If you take good care of us we'll love you forever, and even if you make a few mistakes we'll forgive you.
