Basic Mall Info
Tiki Mart is a mall comprised of medium sized shops who are actively working towards the goal of main market. Our mallers work hard to upgrade their shops on a weekly basis! Upon reaching main market, they branch out and join main market malls or create their own, thus making room for another dedicated maller to join us. We are proud of all our members, and continually encourage and support one another.
- Tiki Mart is for mallers who are working towards the goal of reaching main market size.
- If you would like to be a part of this mall, check the openings below, then Neomail dysfnktynl and include your desired position.
- Please be aware that if your shop is below 240, you are not visible in a marketplace and will be expected to upgrade to spooky marketplace ASAP.
Mall News
New News-9/02
No new news at this time :p Trades are up for the NB ad.
Notice:
As your mall manager, you all expect me to be timely and efficient in all things, especially those that directly affect your NPs. I expect the same from each one of you.
From now on, be aware that NO delays in NB payments will be tolerated. Furthermore, I do not have the time or the patience to track down members and beg them to pay for their ads. Trades for Nb ads go up on Mondays and they stay up for 5 days, which should give you plenty of time to pay at your leisure, without prompting.
NB ads are posted on Saturdays or on Sundays, by my choice. At the time of posting, anyone who has not paid for their ad will not be included on the ad and will be promptly removed from the mall. The only exception to the rule is if a member has contacted me during the week and given a valid reason why they cannot participate in the current week's ad. This exception is not to be abused; a frequent inability to cover your own expenses may also result in you being removed from the mall.
Please forgive my apparent rudeness concerning this matter, but older members know that this has become quite an issue in the past, and we do not wish to repeat it.

Noticeboard Ad Code
You guys are welcome to post additional NB ads any time you are feeling froggy. It is good to keep cheap ads on the back pages of the NB, and I dont always have the time to do so. The shop front code doubles as the NB ad code, so you can use the same code to post NB ads :)

Malling Rules & Guidelines
- Minimum shop size rule:
-Upon joining, your shop size must be equal to or greater than the smallest size shop currently in the mall. This is to ensure that the mall is constantly growing. Check the growth chart above for the current standard.
- Upgrade your shop weekly!
-Our goal is for everyone to get to main market, because all mallers know that's where the big NPs is at! The only way that you won't get there is if you give up. Make yourself a weekly upgrade goal and then stick to it. However, do not short yourself on stocking your shop. Always restock your shop first, then count your profits and decide how much should go into upgrading.
- No links to any shops other than your fellow mall members
-Links to your petpages, guild, or anything else is fine, but please refrain from linking to non-mall members' shops. This includes 'shop directories', 'plazas', etc. These take away from your fellow mall members' hits! Please move any such links to your userlookup.
- Have shop sufficiently stocked at all times
-Customers cannot buy what you don't have! If you're running a quest shop, they are depending on you to have the item they need. Whatever type of shop you are running, customers expect you to have a nice assortment of items for them to choose from.
- Do not sacrifice quantity for diversity, or vice versa.
-You should have an even balance between the number of different items in your shop, and the quantity of each item. The last thing you want to do is stock 1 of each item, run out of many items, and then have to restock them all AND reprice them again. Its inconvenient to the customer, unprofitable for you, and creates more work for you to do.
- 25% Wiz Pricing
75% of your shop mall priced, 25% of your shop wiz priced.
Never have less than 5 items wiz priced at ALL TIMES.
We must generate business, guys. Aside from advertising our mall on the NB, and advertising our shops on the boards, wiz priced items are a great way to generate traffic to the mall. I would suggest pricing these items at whatever makes your shop show up 2nd or 3rd in the list in a normal wiz refresh. I would also suggest only wiz pricing items worth 1000nps or more. Whatever items you choose to wiz price, please keep them stocked up and flowing. Running out of wiz priced items will stifle your traffic flow.
- No bickering or badmouthing other members -or your mall leader! LOL!
-If there is a problem, neomail me and I will try to help you resolve it. If there is a *ahem* management problem, please neomail me and let me know. My neomail is always open. A successful mall works together!
- Please give proper notice if you will be taking a leave of absence.
-If you will be away for more than a few days, please inform me in advance, stock up your shop, and either (1)Cover all NB fees for the time you will be away, or (2)Inform me that I will need to find a temporary replacement for the NB ad, for the time you are away. The NB is not free, and unfortunately no one else will be inclined to pay your advertising costs for you. You may be away but the customers will still be coming. If done properly, upon your return you should have a nice big fat shop till waiting for you!
- If you wish to leave the mall, give at least 1 week notice
-If you quit, we wish you the best of luck. Please do not ask to rejoin. We do not encourage mall-hopping. Rather than quitting, try swapping to another open spot and see if it works out better.
Wiz-Pricing Guide
Okay guys, theres a little confusion about the wiz pricing rule. Let me simplify it a bit. A 75/25 split means that 75% of your shop should be mall priced, and 25% should be wiz priced. If you have a size 200 shop, you can hold 1000 items. So 25% of that would be 250 items wiz priced. Sound like a lot? Not really. Think: 25 items at wiz price, 10 of each in stock (because they sell faster) equals 250 items. Sound more manageable now?
The trick to wiz pricing is simple, wiz price your more expensive items, and then mall price your less expensive items. The outcome is that your whole shop looks more evenly priced, especially to those customers that come in from the shop wiz.
Here is an in-depth example of a successful wiz-pricing strategy. In this example, we will use the training spot. The thing about training is this: you can get a lot of mall sales off of wiz priced items, simply because all the items are right there, side by side, on the front page.
So here is an example: The base wiz prices for bottled faeries (upon writing this) is:
fire-4800
dark-4800
light-3985
air-3750
water-3185
earth-2490
-Obviously I would wiz price the most expensive ones (fire & dark), around 4800.
-The next two (light & air) I would price slightly higher, around 5000-5500.
-The last two (water & earth) I would price slightly lower, around 4200-4700.
Now a lot of customers will come in and just buy up my wiz priced ones. So I recommend stocking a bunch of these. Also try not being the absolute lowest, but more around 4th or 5th in a wiz search.
The customers we are targeting are the ones that come in for the wiz priced bottled faerie, buy it, and see that you also have a couple of bottled faeries for less than the one they bought. So they buy one of those. Some will see the slightly higher priced faeries, and think they are better, so they buy one of those. Some will go ahead and buy a whole set of all 6 faeries, assuming since one was low on the shop wiz, they all are.
So youre getting 1k-2k profit off each of your mall priced faeries, but for a serious maller, that can add up to hundreds of thousands of nps profit every day! And the great thing is, this same method can be applied to codestones, dubloons, scratchcards, maps, and pretty much anything else. Training items are high demand, fast sellers. That is why it is such a coveted mall position ^_^
This method can be successfully applied to any items in any mall spot! :)
Helpful Tips
- For shops that carry a large amount of stock, If you want a simple way to keep up with wiz priced items, try ending the price on those with a different number from the rest of your items. I end all my item prices in 0 or 5, Except my wiz priced items. I end those in '99' :)
- If you guys are stocking the same items each week, and spending a lot of time restocking your shops, I encourage you to check out neomallers.(Google is your friend!) Dmitri, the owner of xmart malls, has created a fabulous standalone program called the neomallers portal, it records your shop stock and tells you what items are out of stock or low in stock, simply by copying and pasting your shop front. And for anyone skeptical like I was, let me just say I have been using it for months now, and can't say enough good things about it! It cut my restocking time way, way down, and I am a big fan of less work, more nps :p
