Located at the base of Terror Mountain, Happy Valley is a scenic, small town to the very north of Neopia Central. Happy Valley is approximately sixty-five miles southeast of the Ice Caves, providing a frosty paradise for the many snow enthusiasts who gleefully make their homes there. Happy Valley also serves as a home base for many visitors from around all Neopia, many of whom take day trips up to the Ski Slopes or bravely journey to the Snowager Cave.
In addition to its limitless surroundings, Happy Valley has much to offer the thousands of visitors who pass through annually. It is known for spectacular vistas, cool summer nights, extraordinary clear stargazing, and wildlife sightings. Many have also come for the rare but spectacular sightings of the Snow Faerie, however, it is generally known you only see Taelia when you need her most. In other words, you only get to see her when you're in trouble.
Imagine you and your pet nestled in a small snow-covered valley surrounded by beautiful majestic mountains. Imagine skiing down snow-covered hills, throwing snowballs, making slushies, and building snowforts. Just listen to the gentle sound of snow falling around you. That is Happy Valley.

Ice Caves History & Facts
Location : Deep within a glacier situated
among the mountains of Northern Neopia.
Population : 16,804 (56% Lupe, 23% Bruce
12% Poogle, 5% Chia, 4% Other)
Area : 220 sq. miles
Terrain : Icy with minor vegetation.
Weather : Extremely cold. Occasionally subject
to avalanches and falling rocks.
Located in the mountains of northern Neopia, between Happy Valley and Terror Mountain, is a cavernous region known as the Ice Caves. Despite its remote location, there are a number of excellent activities which occur in the Ice Caves that are sure to please and entertain you.
The Ice Caves have no real government, but the caves are watched over by many powerful entities. In addition to the mysterious Snowager, the Negg Faerie has been known to take troublemakers to task on more than one occasion. Also, because the Ice Caves are so treacherous, it's easy to get lost without a guide - so those who live there have little fear of unfriendly strangers wandering in looking to cause a little mischief. A single wrong turn around an ice spire and you could be lost down here for weeks.
If you're feeling lucky, then you might want to take a chance on hitting it big by visiting the cheerful Wocky in the Scratch Card Kiosk. A favourite among the locals, a mere six hundred Neopoints is all that's standing between you and that deluxe NeoHome in Faerieland.

The permanently frozen land of Terror Mountain actually encompasses three distinct areas: Happy Valley, the Ice Caves, and the peak area, known as the Top of the Mountain. Happy Valley, despite always being covered in snow, has the mildest climate in the area. The freezing Ice Caves are best known for being the home of the Snowager, as well as the Negg Faerie. The harshest area is the Top of the Mountain, because the journey to reach it is fraught with perils, such as the blistering cold winds and snowfalls that constantly try to thwart those who attempt to reach the mountain's peak. Once the summit is achieved, however, there is a little relief, as a few hardy trees and rocky outcroppings offer some protection from the wind. As a result, only the most resilient Neopians make their homes up there, including Mika and Carassa, the Snow Faerie, Donny, and Tarla. Why so many of them set up shop in such an extreme temperature zone is bewildering, though perhaps it has something to do with the really low property taxes...
Though Terror Mountain is usually somewhat removed from most of the events that shape Neopia, there was quite a bit of excitement there several years ago. It seems that thieves unwittingly caused a series of events leading to the re-emergence of the Bori, a long-lost Neopian species. The amazing story is now told all over Neopia, often under the title Hannah and the Ice Caves.

Taelia
High atop the unforgiving peaks of Terror Mountain rests a small hut inhabited by a quiet but remarkable faerie. Taelia, or simply "The Snow Faerie" as many Neopets call her, would prefer spending her time among the mountain's snowy heights than within the wispy clouds of Faerieland. From her secluded hut, Taelia helps Neopets find their way off the dangerous mountain, and has even been known to bring Neopets into her own home and nurse them back to health.
