.Cerbero. This is my brother, Cerberumon. Though we came from the same litter, he is considered older than me. He is the alpha male in our Lupe tribe. He wears the traditional

Gharin necklace; two wooden, black Lupe heads attached to a strip of leather. This shows his leadership. Cerbero, as I call him, has always been there for me. When our parents were killed, he had to take up the tribe at a very young age. I think he is very brave for being able to do that. It was difficult at first, but we've pulled through. Cebero doesn't currently have a mate, but I'm pretty sure I know who he's got

his eyes on. I don't even mind that it's my best friend, that actually makes it better. He never treated me rudely or unkind. He didn't think I was his "annoying little sister" as most older brothers think, but he looked out for me, me and my younger sister. We don't remember her much, just that she was shy and like nature. She was killed the same way as our parents.

.Qunik. Geez, I could talk on and on about Qunik. I never really had any friends, just my big brother. So when this girl came along I finally knew what fun really was. It's hard to have a guy friend, especially if it's your brother, so Qunik

was hard to have a guy friend, especially if it's your brother, so Qunik was just what I needed. Qunik is a special Lupe, and she is considered a goddess by most in the tribe. We know exactly what she is, though. She was blessed with the ability to control the weather, and everything she does affects the clouds. Her powers are concentrated into her staff, which she calls her Firkoh. They think that this deserves her to be treated with

utmost respect, but really she's just a Lupe like any other. She takes me around the skies on her pet Cirrus, Doude. Unlike clouds, Cirrus are solid object and you won't just fall throuh if you try to sit on one. It's marvelous to the world from above, though at first it was a little frightening.

.Jesuuit. Hehe, mister Jesuuit quite confuses me. He comes off as a loner, but I know deep down he's just afraid to make friends. He doesn't want to lose them as he has lost so much. He is a pirate, but not a sea-faring pirate. He travels the land, with small group of Lupes, stealing all he can.

He came to us one night, thinking he was going to get his share of treasures. Sure, we had plenty of tribal things that may have seemed valuable, but nothing very interesting such as gold. I'm sure that if I hadn't been out and awake that night,

he would have made off with a good bit of our trinkets. Fortunately, I surprised him and the whole tribe turned them away. I guess it wasn't enough for him, as he came back a few nights later. Only this time.. he was alone. I thought it strange, but he didn't seem to be thratening. So I approached him and he explained his situation. Apparently no one had ever beaten them, and he was looking for lodging for his pack for a while. He's staying here now, and I have an interest in him. Maybe he'll turn over a new leaf.

Her Story

.Introduction.
|"They're beautiful," proclaimed the new father to his mate. He smiled down at his three pups, feeling as proud as a father can. It was the day after they had been born, and they were snuggling close to their mother for protection. The father sat down next to his mate and children, looking on them with so much love. Though both parents' main colours were white, the pups came black, grey, and brown. Peculiar, but at least they'd be easily recognized. The pups were then inspected and turned out to be two females.. and a male.
Their father sprung up with excitement and rushed out of the den. He stood before all members of his tribe, chest out with pride and dominace and a smile on his face.
|"The Yilien," he howled, ".... has an heir."|
Just as the words exited his mouth, a chorus of howls arose from the other Lupes. Of course, either of the females could have been heir, but they would have had to mate a new leader. They could not lead alone, but a male could. He was also quite glad that there was only one boy, so there would be no fight over which son would become leader.
He returned to the cave to be with his family, happy as a clam...

Years later, the pups are now grown. They are strong; Cerbero, Lasanc, and their younger sister. Cerbero was very protective of his siblings and not at all rude or mean to them like some older brothers. He loved to lead them on adventures through the forest, pretending to be defending the pack from some beastly creature or a rival tribe.
They'd gone rather far one day, and were splashing around in a pond that they had come upon in their expedition. They'd never been to this area before, and they didn't really know where they were, but they didn't care because they were enjoying themselves in the water. Lasanc and Cerbero were splashing each other and laughing and their sister was drenching herself beneath a waterfall. They were having fun and didn't even notice that the world around them had become very still. No birds were singing no insects were buzzing or chirping, and a feeling of suspence had come over the land. The bushes rustled far away and it caught Cerbero's attention.
|"Shh," he said to his sisters. "Did you hear that?"|
He turned his head every direction, certain that he had heard something. He peered deep into the forest. He noticed many dark shadows, but couldn't tell if they were just shadows or beings.
|"What is it?" asked Lasanc. "Ce-"|
But her words were cut short. They were ambushed! A fury of Lupes sprang out form the forest. They went after the three with intent to kill. It was a rival tribe, from the other side of the mountain. They must have come into their territory. Cerbero and Lasanc fled, but they're sister was too far out in the water and had trouble sloshing through it. She was the smallest, so the attackers focused on her. She ran to catch up with her brother and sister and when she reached them they ran like fire back to their own tribe.
They ran and ran until they noticed that they weren't being chased anymore. Lasanc sighed.
|"Phew, we lost them."|
|"We've also lost something else."|
Cerbero noticed that their sister was gone. They knew what had happened; she was cuaght by the Lupes. Lasanc wanted to go back for her but Cerbero knew it was too late. Their parents' children were now only two.
They walked in sorrow back to their mother and father, Lasanc crying the whole way. When they got there, her mother asked Lasanc what was the matter and where was her sister. All she could do was cry, and Cerbero gave her a forlorned look. She knew imediately that something had happened to her. The whole tribe howled in sorrow for her loss...

That night, the most dreadful thing occured. While everyone slept, the rival tribe that had attacked the pups earlier snuck in to claim more lives. They must have followed them there! A cry was heard and then the panic started. Lasanc's mother told her and her brother to run, and not to stop until they are very far away, to the Other Lands- a place claimed by the Yilien that no one knew of. She did not want to go, but her mother insisted. So they went, along with all of the other pups in the tribe. They all scramble into a den and huddled at the back of it. One adult had gone with them to ensure their safety. They stayed there all night, most of them crying all the while and half of them never even sleeping. Once morning came, the adult Lupess went out to check and see if it was safe. When she didn't come back, the little ones became even more worried. They stayed there to the afternoon until Cerbero had had enough.
|"I'm going," he stated.
|"No!" exclaimed Lasanc. "You can't brother, if you go then who will lead the tribe?"|
|"I have to. It's my duty as a leader!"|
|"No... I'll go."|
|"But, Lasanc..."|
|"It won't matter if I am lost..."|
So she went out, following the scent back. When she came to the dens, all was quiet. She could see many fallen Lupes, and blood everywhere. She looked for her mother and father. Tears gathered in her eyes but she tried her best to hold them back and be strong. She smelled nothing of the other tribe and knew they had gone. She looked for a long time, and knew that she was worrying her brother but she had to find her parents. She called for them, though not too loudly for fear that the others could still be in the hearing range.
Then she saw something. Something out of the corner of her eye. It was like a white shadow. She turned to look straight at it and it disappeared. She ran over to it, and there... There were her parents. She sat by their lifeless bodies and hung her head in despair. She had thought them stronger than that. She thought her father could take on anything and win. But he and his mate fell victim to a surprise attack. Then a light came from behind her. She turned her head slowly and saw two pure white ghostly shadows smiling down at her. The female shadow touched Lasanc's cheek and the male winked at her, just as her father always did. Two tears rolled down her face when and then the figures vanished into the air. Then she heard her name being called from far away.
She ran back to the dens and saw her brother waiting for her. She told him what she had seen and he gave a deep sigh. They were still young and knew nothing of how to deal with the loss of so many Lupes. Now they were reduced to only eleven, and Cerbero had become the new leader...

.Chapter One.
Lasanc stood at the entrance to her den. She smiled in the warmth of the sunlight. Her long, thick tail swished slowly behind her. She jumped down from her rock and trotted to join in the merriment of the tribe. Today was a glorious day, the first of spring. Every female wore a reath of daisies, and Lasanc's was of dafodils. Soon there were going to be pups born, none of her own, though. The leader had yet to find a suitable mate, so no honoured children will be born. Being female beta, Lasanc tended to the new mothers. She watched the pups for they're first week of life, and then announced which were healthy and if there were males and important things like that. Their tribe had grown large since it was begun. From so few to at least thirty. Lasanc was happy with it's state.
She walked up to the highest of the dens, that of the leader's, her brother's. She walked in and sat on the rock floor of it. He was currently snoozing in the waning afternoon.
|"Shouldn't you be out enjoying the new season?" asked Lasanc with a chipper tone. Cerbero lifted his head in confusion, having been wakened from his nap. He yawned and stretched and shook his fur. He smiled at his sister, happy to see her eager face. He trotted out with her and stood proudly on his ledge. All of the Yilien looked up at him, axpecting him to make some announcement. But, he said nothing and jumped down to go eat breakfast. Lasanc was starting to hungry himself, so she went along with her brother into the forest.
|"So," she said when they had gone a distance, attempting to make conversation. "Have you thought anymore about who you might choose as your mate?"|
The leader of the tribe could have any Lupess he wanted, and she couldn't refuse. If she did... bad things happened. Bad things... But none had ever, for to be alpha female was a great honour and any Lupess would gladly take the position.
|"Eh, I dunno if I really want to choose," he responded, looking in the bushes for a snack.
