tom // remedy apprentice // the nobles

personality

on the inside

Some consider Hawk quite attractive, even though he's not very popular. He probably could be, but he prefers to keep to himself. This tabby would be known as the loner. That's all fine by him, he doesn't really care. Hawk's not extremely concerned about his social hierarchy..

One of the reasons Hawk is outcast, is because he's very...awkward. Most of the time, during conversations, he tends to bring up some very uncomfortable subjects. He's also prone to fidgeting and playing with his tail. Not being around others a lot doesn't exactly help him.

Another important trait of Hawk is that he's very observant. He pays close attention to others and their movements, as well as his surroundings. Hawk has a tendency to notice things before most cats, which can come in handy with his position. Compared to most, this tom is also pretty quiet, and listens well. Although, he has a very short attention span, and this sometimes interferes with his listening abilities.

Hawk is also known as a follower. He likes there to be rules, and order within the group. No, he's not exactly a "rebel".

In general, Hawk is a very gentle, kind cat. Yes, he does have a few somewhat negative traits, but that's nothing out of the usual. His heart is about as large as his paws. It's a wonder it hasn't been torn to bits yet.

appearance

the looks

This tom somewhat resembles a red-tailed hawk. His cinnamon coloured stripes upon a honey toned base match the elegant array of browns and reds within the bird's feathers. Both creatures are known to have piercing golden eyes. However, Hawk, of course, does not have feathers, nor does he have talons or a beak. He instead has a muzzle. Upon his dainty muzzle rests his coral coloured nose, which matches the pads of his large feet. He's often referred to as a ginger tabby, when really, he's considered a cinnamon tabby. The only thing out of the ordinary about Hawk's colouring is the fact that his ears are tipped a white; unusual for his breed.

Hawk isn't extremely muscular, and his build reflects that. He's not very concerned about it though; his position doesn't ask for very much strength. In other words, he's pretty small. Well, smaller than most of the apprentices. His feet are probably the most out of proportion thing on him. They're literally huge. But that's what separates him from the rest, along with his large ears. The rest of him is about average; his tail is normal length, his eyes fit his face perfectly. Hawk is unique in his own ways.

Nothing would ever be the same. Nothing without Liv, would ever been the same. That was already becoming apparent with the cats all disbanding. It had already been 5 months since her death, but many of the cats acted like it had occurred only yesterday. A lot of them thought that with the death of the mighty she-cat, all would be well. Many cats thought wrong. It really only made things worse. All along, Liv was right. She'd been trying to save them, and all they did was turn on her. And now, they were paying for it.

But, Hawk could care less about all this. In fact, it helped him. With the two groups separating, Hawk no longer felt pressured to choose sides. All cats were now weak, and alone. There was no such thing as loyalty or friendship anymore. At least, not that he knew of. Hawk just followed orders and did what everyone else did; that was his nature.

The cinnamon tabby sauntered down the street, feeling the hard concrete upon his coral pads. Even with his giant paws, he looked lighter today. He was happier. Bright sun rays illuminated his golden eyes, making his pupils turn to slits. The tom purred lightly as he walked. Hawk decided it would be best to return somewhere safe, before other, larger cats took over the streets. Turning on his haunches, the young cat entered the shadowy alleyway.

He stopped dead in his tracks, lowering his frame to the warm earth. Cat-like silhouettes danced along the brick walls. There were two, no wait three, no, maybe two. Feeling a little woozy at this point, Hawk could barely stay conscious. He was hungry, tired, and afraid. Hawk wasn't muscular at all. The tom was small and weak, and not to mention clumsy. His large paws prevented him from doing much, and his quiet demeanour didn't help either.

So what was he to do? Turn around and run back? Surely they would chase him. Attack them? No, they hadn't tried to attack him, yet. Lay there, cowering like an idiot? That seemed like a more reasonable plan. The tom tensed all his muscles, in preparation for the attack. All of the orange hair upon his back stood high, and his tail appeared to grow larger. As he tucked his legs beneath his not-so-built body, a small twig snapped under the pressure of his giant paws. The sound wasn't very loud, but Hawk knew the cats were most likely within earshot. If they heard that, he was dead.

In through the nose, out through the mouth.
In through the nose, out through the mouth.
In through the nose, out through the mouth," he kept telling himself, as his amber eyes flickered back and forth. Hawk swiveled around, bolting out of the alley and on to the warm asphalt. Little did he know, that directly in front of him was a large hole which the two-legs had dug. Of course, he would have known that, if he wasn't so concentrated on looking behind him.

Hawk reached the hole, and was devestated as he dropped a great feet. Hitting the ground with a thud, the tom quickly jumped up-eyes wide in surprise. The walls of the hole looked relatively stable, but that didn't stop the tom from freaking out. The tom's brain was clearly tricking him, as he began to imagine the walls closing in on him.

Help...HELP!" he gasped. "Please!" the tom mewed, crouching towards the ground. He could hear monsters passing by over head; it was only a matter of time before one of the two-legs discovered his location.
