And their words are just whispers

A diary, cleverly disguised as a 'journal.' This is ludicrous. What's the point? Another stupid thing therapists like to shove down your throat.

This is coming soon.

And lies that I'll never believe

-

How can you learn what's never shown?

Personally, I don't see the point in bringing up the past. It's happened, it's done, that's it. At least, I wish that was it. People are nosy. They think that everything you do and the way that you do them - who you are in general - is built off of your past. I think that's got to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I'm all for moving forward and changing tomorrow. Dwelling on the past will get you nowhere.
But you're not going to leave it at that, are you? No, of course not. They never do. Fine. I'll go over it once and only once. I won't repeat anything and I won't backtrack, so I advise you pay attention.

This will come soon.

Yeah, you stand here on your own

Wanna touch things I don't feel

I don't really... remember my family, if you can even call them that. I was taken from them when I was kind of young still, and according to the 'professionals,' I've blocked most things. Yeah. Whatever. All I know is what I was told - which wasn't much, and not that great.
I've shifted through countless foster homes for years. I was quick to forfeit the 'family' wish. Smart decision, when you're an older kid in the foster system. I never settled in one house for too long, never got too attached to the people.
Until now. I'm not too smart if getting attached is a smart idea, but it seems kind of inevitable. They actually picked me, this little girl and her mother. I don't understand why, but they did. They've got an unfamiliar warmth to them that's inviting, and I'm almost starting to wonder- is this family feels like?
This lady, she's got a lot of kids, no joke. Even more relatives. It's intimidating, but... it's almost nice. I never put much thought into a family, let alone having a big family.

«Summer Nicole: Okay, wow. What can I say about this little kid? She's something else, that's for sure. She picked me. Yep. That's right. She. Picked. Me. Might strange little thing, but she pulls at even my heartstrings. I feel at ease around her, talking to her... which is pretty darn special since I'm really awkward with kids. She's just, lovable. It's just too hard not to like a kid who, rather than picking out a brother or sister her own age, picks some 'troubled teenage boy' who only maybe has brotherly potential. I never would have thought I would actually. Brotherly potential, that is. I'm surprising myself though. I've become mighty protective of Summer, and even though she's pretty willful and has a mind of her own, I want to shelter her from the outside world and all the bad stuff I know is out there. This will be an impossible jump, but I'll do my best... Summer's innocently, naively. She's happy. I don't want the world to beat that out of her. I won't let it.

«Kieve Raern: I get along with this one just fine. He might be the one I relate to most. I mean personality-wise, of course. I don't think any of this big family really would relate to me past-wise. Anyway, Kieve's... cool, for lack of better words. He's got a bit of a moody temper like I do, so we both get riled up pretty easily. But mainly we've got a mutual love for basketball, and I guess we bonded over that really. It's easy to connect over the game- you don't have to talk, you just play. In other words, we don't do much talking, just playing. It's okay though. It wouldn't work for most, but it works for us. As for differences, well. He seems a lot more social and at ease with other people than I do. Overall, I guess you could say we're friends. Brotherly? Who knows. Maybe. I wouldn't get ahead of myself though.

Wanna hold on and feel I belong

-

And I wanna tell you who I am

The matter of friends is a lot like family was. I moved around so often it was hard to get too attached to anyone, and I was better off not getting attached anyway. Besides, when you're in the system, most of the people your age you're around are also a part of the system. Unsurprisingly, there's a lot of messed up kids in the system- kids it's best not to associate with, if you catch my drift.

Sure, things have changed, I've got this family-like thing now, but friends, too? I'm not going to push it. For now, I'll just go with the flow.

Can you help me be a man?

-

And you see the things they never see

Sorry, but I'm no hopeless romantic. I'm not about to sweep anyone off their throat. No thank you. Call me a skeptical if you will, but come on- love? What's love really mean? It's just an excuse to let people walk all over you.
I'll pass.

All you wanted, I could be

-

They can't break me

It's hard not to make enemies in the system. Like I've mentioned before, there's a lot of messed up people in it. There's the depressed kind, the emotionless kind, the fake kind- and of course, the violent kind. The ones that will push you down if you get in their way, which you'd best not do anyway.
It's impossible to stay on everyone's good side all the time. Everyone has their off days, where they'll snap at someone or move too slowly, whatever. Yeah, even me. So, sure, I've got rivals. I just doubt I'll ever lay eyes on them again.

As long as I know who I am

You don't know me

Why does the page have quad art when it's written in human perspective?
It doesn't make much sense, does it? Sorry about that. Really, I'm not one for drawing humans- and I quite like K.C.'s quad design besides. However, K.C.'s story and, well, pretty much everything about him, is better written from human perspective. I'm hoping to keep him mainly roleplayed in human. Converting human roleplays/pasts into quad? Yeah, it's not fun, or easy (if at all possible). For example... You try to explain the foster care system in quad.

I don't suppose you'd let me roleplay one of K.C.'s blood relatives, would you?
Nope, sorry! It'd be a stretch even for my closest of friends to ask. I'm quite content with K.C. lacking any of his bloody family, and if my mind ever changes, I'd likely take it up myself. Obviously, however, I don't forsee this happening.

Yeah, well, any possibility of a romantic relationship with my character?
Doubtful unless you're a good friend of mine. K.C. is special to me, for more reasons than my usual ones. I like this character. Besides, I'm not into planning who my characters fall for. Whatever happens, happens.

Can I hit you up for a roleplay with K.C.?
Go for it. I just may be willing. Friends of mine, undoubtedly. Others, try me! I'm curios to see how K.C. would interact with other characters... and what types would become his friends, and his rivals.

Is it just me, or does this character seem to shadow a certain Degrassi: The Next Generation character, K.C. Guthrie?
Observant! I love Degrassi, but actually, the only way this character purposely shadows K.C. Guthrie is by name and by color scheme (and maybe his ear marking- K.C. Guthrie's hat!) off of K.C. Guthrie's original tan shirts and his brown, white, and blue hat. I'd been stuck on a color scheme, and hey, I'd always wanted to experiment with brown and light blue. Well, maybe the general eye color too. The personality and history was laid out mere days before I discovered K.C. in the show (I was behind in episodes, and needless to say, K.C. is my new favorite character) and I took a liking to the name. K.C.'s personality, likes, etc. is actually a AU version of myself. My personality, in a more guy sort of way; my hobbies (basketball) I gave up on long ago; foods (peanut butter) I used to love but came to hate; things (skateboarding) I always found fascinating; my friend's (Chelsea) birthday; an appearance I wish for (I hate having hair and eyes so dark a brown people insist my hair and eyes are black, what the heck?) so on, so forth. The coincidences... they amuse me beyond belief.

You so copied this character.
From someone else? No, I did not. He was developed solely in my head- personality, markings, history. Though, the personality and history may be a bit common. From Degrassi? This was just covered! But again, nope. Though people do frequently copy off tv/movie characters, I didn't. I recommend rereading the previous question answer, yeah? Though, I suppose you'll believe what you want to anyway.

Actually, I think someone has copied off of you!
Really? Please, do notify me- and if your judgment says to report them, then do so. Keep in mind, though, that with all the things my character has in common with the Degrassi K.C., it's possible they may be actually basing their character off of that K.C. instead of mine. However, I'd appreciate being notified all the same so I can judge for myself. You never know these days.

Does that mean I can copy off you but claim I copied off Degrassi?
How clever. No. I'm pretty observant, and with that said, I'll likely be able to tell copying off me and copying off Degrassi apart.

Can I do fan art of K.C. for you?
I'd actually really love that. Quad, human, even furry if that's your thing. All art is mighty appreciated.

And I'll never be what you want me to be
